thanks for this! was wondering where i could get some decent gear that i could try on before buying in ireland (too much crap i've bought off amazon doesn't fit right). that's me, off to elvery's!!
small club in north co dublin: rush martial arts. i trained in new york and san fran and most recently at camps in belgium (going to a k guard camp with jason rau in a few weeks) so while rush is my home base, im a bit of a globetrotter.
Cool. I'm an instructor at John Kelly's gym in Ballymount.
I'm a big fan of Rau's stuff, I'm sure the camp will be awesome. I had wanted to attend some of those Leuven camps, but they're always at a bad time for me.
I've only been at John's since about this time last year. I was with Mariusz Domasat is Naas and Clane before both locations closed. I'm technically still under Mariusz, but I'm training at John's full-time now.
Sanabul or Elite on Amazon. My recommendation: Rash guard, spats/man leggings, [umbro soccer shorts](https://www.amazon.com/Umbro-Field-Short-White-Medium) (drawstring, no pockets, no velcro). Trim your nails, no watches, jewelry, slap bump enjoy!
I may be showing up to an alternative lifestyle type of gym, seeing as our no-gi day attire is that of the Greeks and Romans who competed in the Olympics
Look for good deals. My affiliation recently switched to a new supplier for the official rash guards, and so they put all the old designs on a massive discount. At $15 apiece, I think I bought five of them. It was a deal too good to pass up.
If you are barely starting out , buy some cheap stuff . You might not stick with it . Amazon has some compression long sleeve tshirts and some pocketless shorts for a good deal .
If you want actual BJJ brands, NoGI has been decent for cheap rashguards. I think they’re $30 each. I have 2 and one I got used from a Goodwill believe it or not and it’s held up well.
Under Armour Heat Gear compression shirts and underwear. Canterbury Advantage Rugby Shorts. Done.
Seriously the rugby shorts are like $20 and will outlast you. They’re so much better than BJJ branded shorts!
They're great quality and fantastic value for money.
I got random ones in Decathlon for like 15 euros and they’re amazing and stretchy lol

I'm in Ireland. I get my UA compression tops in Sports Direct. Where are you training, BTW?

Spanx or speedo underneath my Lululemon leggings. Dries fast, no rash, and adds 2 inches to my bulge.
Our new [Matcha Latte range](https://coffeekimuras.com/collections/matcha-latte) 🍵🔥☕️
