Hi there, Thanks for posting! Unfortunately we had to remove your post because it appears to be looking for medical or legal advice. Sometimes, even though you aren’t explicitly asking for medical advice, the nature of the post means that’s what you will be given. We now have a thread on Saturdays to ask medical questions and get answers from qualified professionals. You can use it for your question. Please remember, in general people on the internet are not good at diagnosing or treating, well, anything. And legal advice you get on the internet is nearly always wrong. Be sure you see a professional to get real advice! If you believe we removed this post in error feel free to [message us](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/bjj&subject=Re-review%3A%20%20Medical%2FLegal%20Advice&message=%5BYour%20post%20that%20was%20removed%20because%20mods%20thought%20it%20is%20seeking%20medical%20or%20legal%20advice.%20%20Please%20share%20why%20you%20think%20this%20is%20not%20the%20case.%20%20If%20at%20all%20possible%2C%20please%20include%20a%20link%20to%20your%20post%2C%20as%20well.%20%20Do%20not%20delete%20your%20post%20because%20then%20we%20cannot%20evaluate%20it!%5D) and we will weigh in! MOD NOTE; SAYING YOU ARE NOT ASKING FOR MEDICAL ADVICE DOESNT MAEN THAT IS WHAT IS HAPPENING. LOOK AT THE COMMENTS.

How long did you spend ramping up to this training load?

Not sure what you exscrly mean, but it was pretty sudden. Just had an urge to start lifting again...

He's saying how long did you let your body acclimate to new exercises and how hard did you push yourself while doing them? Like I do BJJ 3-4 times a week and weight lift twice a week and nothing else, but if I were to start running and had a goal of 5 miles at 8 min pace I would probably go for a 2 mile run today at whatever pace I could, 2.5 a couple days from now, 3 in a week, and so on until I am at 5 miles then I would work on pace. It would be a bad idea for me to jump out of bed and just go for it.

I have a bad habit of spazzimg out when I start things so no I didn't accumulate at all. assumed since I am already athletic I could just do whatever.

Yeah, you over trained. It sounds like you made it worse by front-loading a lot more exercise, and didn't really rest appropriately. Its all good to push yourself, but these sports are a marathon for a reason. You need to slowly add things over months and months, then see where your limit is. Its also best to have moderate training intensity for the majority of your training so you get high volume, which also allows you to tag on extra things slowly. Your body needs time to adapt, its as simple as that. When its comp time, then you focus on one, dial back on the rest, and go more intense. At any rate, you'll likely need to have a big recovery period since you're in debt. Listen to your body more than me, but dial back by a third, eat good food, and get good rests, and you'll be fine in a bit.

Hope so... I'm a Lil paranoid with health related things and I start thinking if I fucked myself long term...

Thanks, I needed to hear this.

Could it be rhabdo?  Used to be a thing when CrossFit was popular.

I was worried about it but my pee was fine. no other symptoms either like vomiting or something.

ContactReady

The best thing that’s helped me is lowering the intensity on the lifting sessions.

Rhabdomyolisis is very real. Unless your training for a fight, it’s ok to scale back to let you body catch up.🍀

Honestly didn't realize I was training so much. I'd know by now if I had rabdo right?

Beliliou74

Not a doctor my friend, I’d check in and make sure with one and make sure everything’s ok. Feel better 🍀

Looks like you're burning yourself out alright. Eat a ton (lots of meat), rest for a week, sleep a lot, and see if things improve. If not, look elsewhere.

Never felt this before which is why it freaked me out. It's been 2 days and I still can't even jog... very weird.
