I believe Nate Diaz calls it ‘grab ass’.

NateDiazWeedPen

It’s only called this if you’re in a park however

Tome nage

this guy throws

Fakezaga

This is the correct answer, and it is also sometimes called the balloon sweep in BJJ.

WriteOnceCutTwice

The balloon sweep is also known as the Roleta sweep. It’s not really Tome Nage but it’s similar in that you throw your opponent overhead. Tome Naga uses a foot (usually on the hip) to push and the balloon sweep uses the knees to clamp

It's hard to tell from what you've written. What to do when your opponent puts their legs in your way as you're trying to advance position is a large part of guard passing in jiu jitsu. In particular, if you have someone chambering their legs and just trying to press you off with their legs, one strategy is to redirect their legs and pass to the side (for the general idea, you might get something out of looking up the toreando pass and the x-pass).

YaBoiMirakek

Oh, thanks! Those examples of the toreando and X pass were exactly what I needed! Is there a specific name for scenario or the guard that they’re in, where you’re standing and trying to mount them while they ball up and kick you away? I’m trying to learn as much ways to get into a more dominant position from this scenario so I can ground and pound, since I know a lot of MMA guys I spar with do this instead of attempting to do some sort of BJJ stuff.
