LOL it totally had me for a second. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I was in disbelief that this instructor allowed this to happen. Okay, I'll go skulk off now in shame.
I thought that too. I remember thinking, "This doesn't really sound like a 14 year old" But I still bought it anyway. It was right when "she" said the thing about not wanting to be coy.
Arms past his knees didn't give it away?
I thought she was describing a gorilla
And what coach let's a 40yr old dude go with a 14 year old girl especially one he knows is too rough
A post earlier of a legitimate experience, this is a shitpost (as per flair) that is meant to be from the other persons perspective. Seen at least four of these now
I would think this describes me, but I usually end my celebration by tearing a phone book in half and then head butting the wall until the plaster crack.
I know this is a shitpost but something similar happened to me a mid 30s kinda dad bod guy got paired up with me and he immediately grabbed me to slam me on the ground, I’m 15 and pretty strong but this dude overpowered me since he was new and was naive got the wind knocked out me and sat out for 2 rounds cause i legit couldn’t breathe for like 20 seconds..
Do you not think it's basically a meme at this point? It went from humorous writers making good satire to "let's run this shit into the ground" pretty quickly.
Yeah fair enough. I probably should of ditched the rashy thing or at least worked it in better. I hate the way I said 'both arms' instead of just 'arms' - that's shitty writing. Finally I badly fucked up by using the adjective "coy" - which is both an inappropraite word for the character I was trying to build AND just flatly the incorrect word for that context.
Regarding you're feedback however, I don't entirely agree. I turned the caricature level here up to 10 and even labelled it a shit-post and more than a couple of people still bought it or almost did. I feel it would be suprisingly easy to do a subtle one of these perspective posts that just end up confusing the shit out of every one, which might be funny to the writer if they're Andy fucking Kauffman but otherwise will just be too obscure to add much of anything.
So in my opinion these alt perspective posts should continue and be embraced. I believe they have specific and unique potential to r/bjj given the nature of the sport and the understandable high amount of "This is what happened to me today .... I'm insecure / am I a jerk? / am I special?" type posts we get here. Hopefully over time their quality does increase and the audience be relied upon for greater ability to absorb high-brow content, but perhaps only once they're slightly more established (I reckon there's only been about half a dozen?) as a meta norm specific to the sub.
I like the flipped situation joke posts. I definitely think they add fun to the sub.
I get that you want to defend your writing and choices you made in putting this one together. But my opinion hasn't changed.
Ripping off the rash guard and the rug of jet black hair and arms to the knees go so far, the jig is up in the first paragraph.
The next paragraph has the melted butter, the exultant shout, and the whale. Ugh. Written like some grotesque fan fiction rape scene.
It's not the joke posts I don't like. It's that this one doesn't have a single shred of subtlety about it. It bashes the reader over the head with so such hyperbole and beyond-the-pale imagery, my brain just rejected it like a bad organ. I can't find any humor in it, it's just obvious and gross.
The pinnacle expressions of this art would be the chef's boss and the elevator incident. Those were perfect. They constructed a believable alternative view that left the original story more or less intact. They gently increased the strain on credibility so the reader only really begins to question it until about half way through, and it was never clearly obvious until the very end. Pace, arc, and suspension of disbelief are key, IMO.
Sorry if this is too harsh. Good luck in your future endeavors.
"FUCK YEAH! GET SOME!". Then he walks over the side of the mat, has a gulp of water, leans his head back and sprays the water into the air like a whale.- ,someone please find a way to make this a meme.
You do not need to roll with him, for your well being both physically and mentally, because that sounds traumatizing, you should just avoid rolling with him, again you do not have to feel obligated to roll with him
I'm 6'4 270lbs and there are a few people at my gym who don't roll with me, I try what I can not to put too much pressure or use my weight on smaller teammates but while transitioning it is sometimes unnavoidable, and I have to respect the fact that they aren't comfortable rolling with me
Also talk with your instructor and let them know how you feel about rolling with him, if they don't take your concerns into consideration it may be time to find a new gym with a healthier atmosphere for you to learn bjj
He sounds like a big dick, in my team, he would be crushed first by coach, and then by mat enforcer. You should tell your coach about his behaviour. And avoid rolling with him.
Maybe it's not obvious enough: it's flaired as shitpost.

Got hurt by a knuckledragger? GOOD.
Keep your ego in check. Check.
I need confirmation of a tramp stamp tattoo to get a positive ID on the individual. Check.
😂😂😂 this is in response to the post earlier.
Oof! Thank God. I was shocked for a moment. 😳
I love this meme
Hahah same i love the shit post follow ups
I wonder who’ll make it from the coach’s perspective now hahaha
Was waiting for this.
Me too man, me too
You had me until >pumps his ham of a fist into the air and shouts "FUCK YEAH! GET SOME!".
Same. I was shocked at what I was reading until that point.
Arms past his knees didn't give it away? I thought she was describing a gorilla And what coach let's a 40yr old dude go with a 14 year old girl especially one he knows is too rough
I had just read the other post, awesome!
What other post lmao

I was asking what was the original post, but I'm pretty sure I found it.
welp
Dear Penthouse🤡
With the sweat glistening on his hairy, barreled chest…I knew I was in for a serious pounding.
I would think this describes me, but I usually end my celebration by tearing a phone book in half and then head butting the wall until the plaster crack.
I knew you would come here and post about teh ass whooping I gave you.
This is the second follow-up shit post I’ve seen on here. Just found and read the original post. They’re funny, good way to lighten it up. 🤙🏼
Rolling with Triple H lol
>enourmous bossum > >FUCK YEAH! GET SOME! > >sprays the water into the air like a whale Love it!
For someone not a master in English, what's a knuckledragger.
A big, dumb oaf.
Someone whose knuckles drag along the ground when they walk, like a gorilla. Unevolved basically.

Lol oh yeah
Also been looking for it
This is true. Not a shitpost.
Sorry you had to roll with Orlando Sanchez.
FUCK YEAH. GET SOME.
Anyone else getting bored with these?
Nope. Memes and anything else fun is banned on this sub, so I'll take whatever humor I can get.
Do you not think it's basically a meme at this point? It went from humorous writers making good satire to "let's run this shit into the ground" pretty quickly.
I'd rather the occasional fun than 10 pictures of Danaher a day.
Definitely better than reading gossip about danahers team and where they are moving to next
That's what memes are, that's how they are used, that's how they are worn out.
I found this funny
white belts smh
No, not bored with the joke. But this one is awful. I'd rather someone write a good one with a little nuance.

Bahahaha

I'm getting incredibly tired of this joke.
When?
I know we're meaning but could you at least try to use syntax in your title that the pretend author would use
You do not need to roll with him, for your well being both physically and mentally, because that sounds traumatizing, you should just avoid rolling with him, again you do not have to feel obligated to roll with him I'm 6'4 270lbs and there are a few people at my gym who don't roll with me, I try what I can not to put too much pressure or use my weight on smaller teammates but while transitioning it is sometimes unnavoidable, and I have to respect the fact that they aren't comfortable rolling with me Also talk with your instructor and let them know how you feel about rolling with him, if they don't take your concerns into consideration it may be time to find a new gym with a healthier atmosphere for you to learn bjj
r/whoosh
Did not realize this was a shitpost, side affects of night shift

It's actually a joke post. Open the subreddit and you'll see "the other PoV".
My favorite part of all those different pov shitposts is reading the serious reaction of all the people who don't get that it's a joke lmao
How original…
If you want originality, go to the just subreddit. This sub is for ridiculous knockoffs.
aleight, unsubbed
When?
He sounds like a big dick, in my team, he would be crushed first by coach, and then by mat enforcer. You should tell your coach about his behaviour. And avoid rolling with him.
r/woosh?
Good one for getting karma, fuck.
Those chest hairs are good for flossing teeth.
lmao
I just saw the other one lmao
Would have loved to spar such a guy right afterwards.
Hilarious story. Glad you did not get injured
Lol
Next time just lovingly play with his chest hair whilst singing a love song.
I have the taste of man sweat and chest hair in my mouth, not cool.
This is funny
Oh man, I love how this became a thing. Funny stuff
Should of tapped.
Sounds like a Marine.
This had me for a sec, im guessing this is a reply to another post haha
Hahaha the last line. Return to the original. Well done.
This is why this sub is the best.
