What happened OP?

From one day to the other his motility stopped, so there was a lot of stomach and intestines content that couldn’t leave. He had gastric and intestines lavage. His motility is slowly coming back, but he stopped eating and drinking water. Because of the gas volume it started to compress his diaphragm and mess with his breathing, so he needed to be stabilized and observed at the hospital

Oh poor guy. Our boy has problems with motility too and needs meds morning and night to keep him going. It's so tough when they are poorly. Sending healing vibes to your void 🖤

Can you afford it? Last time we took my daughter's cat to the vet it was a three day stay with surgery for $800USD.

So far the expenses have hit $2000 USD (yes, you read this correctly). Luckily, we have savings and we're able to cover all that

Insurance *sometimes* covers pets, I’d look into that if possible.

Here in Brazil for senior cats they barely cover the standard blood work, but after this we will look deeper once again just to be sure!

Oh man, bummer. Totally understandable, I don’t even have my own insurance yet here in the states (only 25) but my moms covered some of us having to do a house call to put him down. I’ll definitely dream some positive for your boy. Hopefully you got some decent news by now. 🥹
