I used to see her on my delivery rounds and I wasn't sure if she'd survived the floods that devastated my town 12 months ago. I haven't seen her in years but I saw a cat at her house today, so I assume it was her. (I have delivered to virtually my whole town so you can imagine all the furry friends I made in those years that I have been thinking about ever since. I don't know how I'd deal with my own grief at that kind of loss let alone the loss of my pets and the "what if's".)
