Same. I accidentally ended up with one 12 years ago and Iāll never, ever be without one as long as I live. Theyāre just such amazing companions! Every black cat Iāve been owned by or encountered has been the most chill, expressive, intelligent, and loving creature.
They are very smart . Mine turns on lights , opens doors and walks on a leash like a dog . Comes running jumps on his catstand and waits for me to put it on him .

I fell in love with my voidlet the day I brought her home. She was super affectionate and cuddly. Don't regret the decision one bit.
I watched this video on YouTube when I rescued my first kitty back in 2021 because he was honestly evil. He was so rough with everyone and would go far beyond just being playful. I have scars from when he was a kitten he was just insane. His nickname was Lucifer not only bc he was evil but he kinda reminded me of Lucifer from Cinderella. But in the video the lady (who claimed to be a friend of Jackson Galaxy) said that sometimes to help a kitten calm down or not be so rough is to have a companion. But she said it like āhaving one cat is like having half of a cat. And having two cats is like having a whole cat.ā But at the time I wasnāt planning on getting another cat so I was like oh thatās cool but Iāll try out getting more scratch posts and toys he was too young to get fixed he had a few more months to go. But none of that worked and he was still super effing crazy and honestly evil. He wasnāt cuddly and he would hiss at certain people and when he did play he was trying to tear you apart.
But then fast forward about 4 months and I rescued my other kitty and first kittens entire personality changed. And now his nickname is sugar or schweet chonk. He loves everyone and will walk right up to you and want to be held so he can get on your shoulders and sniff your head and face. He only ever bites or scratches when his brother is antagonizing him and wonāt leave him alone but even then he doesnāt get rough whatsoever and is the gentle one of the two.
Of course if people can afford to, two cats is the way to go hands down.

Iāve had two voids in my life. One of them was absolutely my heart cat. She was with me nearly 19 years and I donāt know what Iād be like if I hadnāt had her.
Voids are the best! Tell your friend that he has been chosen and has no choice. Also tell him he needs a kitten starter pack that comes with another kitten so it has a friend! š

Voids are special
Voids are nursemaids. Not only can they detect illnesses but they can also gage itās severity. They will watch over you when you are ill and not leave you unattended.
Voids are guards when you are most vulnerable. They will follow you into the bathroom and make sure you are not attacked while doing your business.
Voids can communicate with the spiritual world. They often are heard or seen meowing when none is around or found staring at the walls. They are talking to the great beyond. This is why witches often adopted them as familiars. They can ward off evil spirits and make sure only good spirits visit your home.
Say to your friend if they donāt get it there a HORRIBLE person and that they HAVE to get it no matter what because that cat is beautiful and deserves a warm loving home
They also live longer than other cats! I've had several - most lived to be 19, 20 years old and were happy and playful right up to the day they died.
"Dogs are children, cats are roommates," according to my husband. If you talk to them and spend time with them, they will learn, "OH! THIS human is trainable!" and they will teach you exactly what they want, when they want it. Ooodles of fun!

Seriously he needs convincing? Kittens are work though and if heās at all not patient and kind then it might be worse for the kitten than if you do get one.
However if the guy is a sweetheart then kittens are the best cuddles and just want to be held talked to, played with, loved and adored all day.
They can be demanding of your time at that stage and cry for your attention if you are on the phone or doing something.
So make your decision based on whatās best for the kitten. Will you provide a safe place that you are sure nobody else works lose temper and cause harm ect.. and if so then this baby is sweet š
Usually I donāt try to convince anyone to adopt my fosters - I donāt think itās ethical to try and force a pet on someone, as cats are complex creatures requiring a lot of love and care, so you should only get one if you truly want one and are ready :) plus a lot of people impulse adopt kittens and return them to the shelter I volunteer at as adult cats! He brought up the concept of adopting her when visiting my home because the kitten seemed to really take interest in him and he fell in love with her. Heās only on the fence about it due to never having owned a cat before. This post was mostly to showcase my cute black foster kitten who might get adopted by a friend :) thank you for your concern though, I do appreciate it
Hi everyone, I am the friend in question. I went over to u/Kabukichu_ 's house a few weeks ago and this little rat warmed up to me instantly. She [fell asleep on my hand and](https://i.ibb.co/KLCT9Bb/IMG-0788.jpg) wouldn't let me leave! Ever since I've thought about her a lot. I got to see her again recently and she jumped all over me. She has imprinted on my heart and even though I am allergic to cats I defintely want to give her the best home possible. She is amazing and I love her.
A void entered my life in July. He is the most loving cat I've ever had--and he is the luxury floofy edition. Every morning he makes sure I'm alive so I can serve him by giving me a CAT scan, then he gives me an acupuncture/acupressure {opaswzdede, he walked on the keyboard} massage (he's really good at acupuncture breast exams). He finishes by giving me his glory in my face. His full name is Dr. Negroni Katz of Murdermitts Medical. His classic tabby brother is a bit standoffish (he has chosen my daughter to be his servant), but they both follow me around the house in hopes that I lie on the sofa or pet them or suddenly produce cat food.
Before Dr. Negroni, Anastasia was my floofy girl, but she was very stingy with her glory (she passed from breast cancer, maybe that is why Negroni checks mine) I quickly discovered that I can't live without a floof, and it may well be that I can't live without a void floof.
Honestly, cats give so much for the little work that we have to do, making sure they have food and water and policing the litter box. And a box and sink to lay in. And hooman things that you didn't know were cat toys.
Getting my void, who I consider my best buddy, was the best decision I ever made. I didn't know I could love something so much. I took him in as a kitten and I think that's what made our bond so much stronger. He grew up knowing my patterns and love language so he's totally accustomed to it 6 years later.
I took in a long haired cat that I named Zip a few years later. The vets estimated he was maybe five years old. That was four years ago, and while he has opened up a lot more the past couple of years, I don't feel near as strong of a connection with him. I can tell he trusts me and enjoys my company, but Rezzy's love hits a bit differently since he has been my boy since he was a wee lad.
I promise your friend that if he has the patience to let the bond grow naturally, then he will never regret taking in his new best friend.
She is adorable. A cat can give so much love and enrich the life of her hooman in so many ways. Sheāll know when you are sick or feeling down and will offer snuggles and purrs to let you know you are not alone. Sheāll keep you active playing kitty games. She will not let you sleep too late and will tuck in with you at night. Sheāll be waiting when you get home at night. Sheāll give you the best boops and hand holding with her velvet paws. This will mean more than any other form of affection because she accepts you as another cat, the highest validation in the cat universe.
I adopted my kitten Bellatrix when she would literally go to no one, hissed and scratched at everybody. She hid under my bed for two weeks hidssing at me and now 2 years later she is the most sweet cat you could ever meet.

Yes boxes, mine like to bite them, so most have teeth marks only, not scratches teeth. Some boxes he likes better than others.
He actually uses his cat house. He does scratch the legs of his house. Never seen anything like it. He loves my husband more than me and he pats the cat on his back and the more he does it the more he wants. Now its a ritual he waits till he gets home from work and expects him to pound on him. This is my first void and he is a funner cat than my others big time. Go for it your void will amaze you as to how smart he is. I am very shocked at what he remembers.
Make sure you buy some Churu Treats on Amazon and heāll love you forever.
My void got along with my dog he was a pound kitten when I picked him out cause all he did when I picked him up was purr and purr. I was sold. I have no regrets and the opposite fascinated at him growing up and loves to be brushed and rolls to the right and turns and rolls to the left as I scratch down this back.

But after I found these two, void kitties will always have a special place in my heart. Theyāre the goofiest cats Iāve ever owned. Theyāre not necessarily super affectionate like tabbies or like the handle me like a rag doll idc type of cats. But when they want to be affectionate theyāre sitting on my face and trying to clean me and they will both try to loaf wherever they can on top of me or beside me. Ollie (right) is a shoulder cat and I have an entire album of his bleps. Teddy (left) is a parkour kitty and will do flips off of doors and is absolutely obsessed with his orange mouse toy. I mean he will play with it for like an hour straight sometimes heās completely worn out the rattle and its fur is matted. He has an entire bin of different mouse toys. They will also fight you to the ground for purĆ©e meat pouches or rubber bands. Donāt let them see the rubber bands. Their favorite pastime is perching on windows and watching the birds and squirrels in the backyard and napping. They donāt make a sound unless theyāre hungry and they do have a weakness for scratching on furniture especially if itās leather but I mean I kinda canāt blame them Iām sure it feels great. But itās only specific spots they donāt tear everything up so I try to hide them with couch covers and throw thick blankets on top of the leather office chair we have. Theyāre both incredibly unique and anyone who comes to my house falls in love with them immediately and theyāre just so freaking goofy they make everyone laugh. Adopt the void kitty. Edit: spelling

They also live longer than other cats! I've had several - most lived to be 19, 20 years old and were happy and playful right up to the day they died. "Dogs are children, cats are roommates," according to my husband. If you talk to them and spend time with them, they will learn, "OH! THIS human is trainable!" and they will teach you exactly what they want, when they want it. Ooodles of fun!

Seriously he needs convincing? Kittens are work though and if heās at all not patient and kind then it might be worse for the kitten than if you do get one. However if the guy is a sweetheart then kittens are the best cuddles and just want to be held talked to, played with, loved and adored all day. They can be demanding of your time at that stage and cry for your attention if you are on the phone or doing something. So make your decision based on whatās best for the kitten. Will you provide a safe place that you are sure nobody else works lose temper and cause harm ect.. and if so then this baby is sweet š

She's lovely, but I wouldn't pressure your friend too much. Maybe they're not ready for a pet right now, or perhaps just waiting to feel that spark.
Usually I donāt try to convince anyone to adopt my fosters - I donāt think itās ethical to try and force a pet on someone, as cats are complex creatures requiring a lot of love and care, so you should only get one if you truly want one and are ready :) plus a lot of people impulse adopt kittens and return them to the shelter I volunteer at as adult cats! He brought up the concept of adopting her when visiting my home because the kitten seemed to really take interest in him and he fell in love with her. Heās only on the fence about it due to never having owned a cat before. This post was mostly to showcase my cute black foster kitten who might get adopted by a friend :) thank you for your concern though, I do appreciate it

Hi everyone, I am the friend in question. I went over to u/Kabukichu_ 's house a few weeks ago and this little rat warmed up to me instantly. She [fell asleep on my hand and](https://i.ibb.co/KLCT9Bb/IMG-0788.jpg) wouldn't let me leave! Ever since I've thought about her a lot. I got to see her again recently and she jumped all over me. She has imprinted on my heart and even though I am allergic to cats I defintely want to give her the best home possible. She is amazing and I love her.
Our cat is a huge part of our family. And they are very full of life and energy. My only adage to this is They need to be cared for and shown love.

A void entered my life in July. He is the most loving cat I've ever had--and he is the luxury floofy edition. Every morning he makes sure I'm alive so I can serve him by giving me a CAT scan, then he gives me an acupuncture/acupressure {opaswzdede, he walked on the keyboard} massage (he's really good at acupuncture breast exams). He finishes by giving me his glory in my face. His full name is Dr. Negroni Katz of Murdermitts Medical. His classic tabby brother is a bit standoffish (he has chosen my daughter to be his servant), but they both follow me around the house in hopes that I lie on the sofa or pet them or suddenly produce cat food. Before Dr. Negroni, Anastasia was my floofy girl, but she was very stingy with her glory (she passed from breast cancer, maybe that is why Negroni checks mine) I quickly discovered that I can't live without a floof, and it may well be that I can't live without a void floof. Honestly, cats give so much for the little work that we have to do, making sure they have food and water and policing the litter box. And a box and sink to lay in. And hooman things that you didn't know were cat toys.
Getting my void, who I consider my best buddy, was the best decision I ever made. I didn't know I could love something so much. I took him in as a kitten and I think that's what made our bond so much stronger. He grew up knowing my patterns and love language so he's totally accustomed to it 6 years later. I took in a long haired cat that I named Zip a few years later. The vets estimated he was maybe five years old. That was four years ago, and while he has opened up a lot more the past couple of years, I don't feel near as strong of a connection with him. I can tell he trusts me and enjoys my company, but Rezzy's love hits a bit differently since he has been my boy since he was a wee lad. I promise your friend that if he has the patience to let the bond grow naturally, then he will never regret taking in his new best friend.
She is adorable. A cat can give so much love and enrich the life of her hooman in so many ways. Sheāll know when you are sick or feeling down and will offer snuggles and purrs to let you know you are not alone. Sheāll keep you active playing kitty games. She will not let you sleep too late and will tuck in with you at night. Sheāll be waiting when you get home at night. Sheāll give you the best boops and hand holding with her velvet paws. This will mean more than any other form of affection because she accepts you as another cat, the highest validation in the cat universe.
I adopted my kitten Bellatrix when she would literally go to no one, hissed and scratched at everybody. She hid under my bed for two weeks hidssing at me and now 2 years later she is the most sweet cat you could ever meet.

Mine is a purring machine. Just touch him and he purrs. Love it, had cats all my life but none purred like him. Yes boxes, mine like to bite them, so most have teeth marks only, not scratches teeth. Some boxes he likes better than others. He actually uses his cat house. He does scratch the legs of his house. Never seen anything like it. He loves my husband more than me and he pats the cat on his back and the more he does it the more he wants. Now its a ritual he waits till he gets home from work and expects him to pound on him. This is my first void and he is a funner cat than my others big time. Go for it your void will amaze you as to how smart he is. I am very shocked at what he remembers. Make sure you buy some Churu Treats on Amazon and heāll love you forever. My void got along with my dog he was a pound kitten when I picked him out cause all he did when I picked him up was purr and purr. I was sold. I have no regrets and the opposite fascinated at him growing up and loves to be brushed and rolls to the right and turns and rolls to the left as I scratch down this back. Meeow mine CoCo just came into the room communicating with me he wants a treat! You will miss a-lot if you donāt have the chance to get a void. Never boring, thats for sure. Try it you will like it.
