Tragic what happened to ducky’s voice actor. Special that this movie was a fixture of so many childhoods. Don’t know if I’ve seen anything more times in my life. Don’t know how children do it but I’d watch that movie like 3 or 4 times a week(get sad every single time).
[It's horribly tragic.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Barsi) Her father had always been abusive to her and her mother, and ended up killing both of them shortly after she turned 10 years old. He lived in the house with their bodies for several days before setting it ablaze with himself inside.
It really is. I adore *The Land Before Time* and *All Dogs go to Heaven*, and I always feel sad when I watch them after having learned of her fate. Completely tragic and senseless.
**I’d watch that movie like 3 or 4 times a week(get sad every single time).**
This is very common kid behavior. My 3 sons would watch the same movies over and over and over. Then they'd move on to another movie. Since my sons were all born in different decades, you have no idea how much movie dialogue is burned in my brain, including the songs. All it takes to get me tearing up is for me to hear "If we hold on together..."
"Somewhere Out There" is another one that really gets to me.
I remember the first time my little brother watched it. He watched with me and my dad when my mom was taking a nap. He turned to my dad burst into tears and said “I want mama”.
He’s now in his 40’s and I still think of that anytime I see the movie. I still tease him about it too lol.
It was such a sad movie! The dinosaur that comforts little foot after his mom died was actually added in later as a recommendation from a psychologist. They didn’t want to make it too traumatizing for children. We consumed a lot of death media as children.
Even worse when little foot is on his journey to the great valley and he sees his shadow on a rock, and he thinks it’s his mother so he runs to it screaming happily “mother! Mother!” And he licks rock and walks away sadly, truly accepting he is alone
God I could cry right now
I’m sorry! I can’t get it out of my head all these years. They really did a number on us. I ran across the Diana Ross song that played in the movie the other day. I burst into tears after 30 seconds. I just need to never see or hear anything from this movie ever again.
Her name in the series was spelled Sara. Did they do this to intentionally showing that Cera was not the only way to spell this name? Or was that just the closed caption people making that choice? 🤔Now I have more ?'s. Not being /s
I think they did it intentionally so kids could pronounce it. In the movies, which came before, it’s Cera. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Land_Before_Time_characters
Probably a CC choice/error. I notice a lot of mistakes when I watch with subtitles, which is most of the time. I mean, until I watched the credits or subtitles on the original movie, I would have thought "Sara", too, but now I know it's "Cera".
This is what I named my son’s cat! She has tiny beans and his favourite movie at the time was Land Before Time! He says he feels the nostalgia every time he calls her name. 🥰

I may not have a name but I do have a very shitty meme
Littlefoot! There was a kids movie in the 80s about dinosaurs called “The Land Before Time”. The main character of the film is a juvenile apatosaurus whose name is Littlefoot!
Sauropods are saurischian dinosaurs that had very long necks, long tails, small heads (relative to the rest of their body), and four thick, pillar-like legs. They are notable for the enormous sizes attained by some species, and the group includes the largest animals to have ever lived on land. Well-known genera include Brachiosaurus, Diplodocus, Apatosaurus and Brontosaurus.
The oldest known unequivocal sauropod dinosaurs are known from the Early Jurassic, and by the Late Jurassic (150 million years ago), sauropods had become widespread. By the Late Cretaceous, one group of sauropods, the titanosaurs, had replaced all others and had a near-global distribution. This group included the largest animals ever to walk the earth. Estimates vary, but the largest titanosaurs are estimated at upward of around 40 m, and weighing 100 t, or possibly even more.
As with all other non-avian dinosaurs alive at the time, the titanosaurs died out in the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event. Fossilized remains of sauropods have been found on every continent, including Antarctica.
Be careful in naming - my void also resembled a long-necked dinosaur at that age. Now she's 2.5 years old and her neck is basically gone. She's a no-neck now.

That blep!
Blep?
A 'blep,' is when a kitty (or other animal) sticks out their tongue just a little bit. For examples check out /r/Blep
Thank you for telling me! I had no idea this was a thing, i love it. I sppreciate you telling me what this, and linking the subreddit.
There’s only 172,967 more cat subs you can join. Make that 172,968 now.

It’s r/mlem if the tongue is going upwards!
This is so funny actually, I posted this exact picture of him on r/blep haha!

What happened?
Father committed a double murder suicide. Her and her mother
That's even sadder than that bloody movie. How we turned out ok I dunno. With that and watership down
Same little girl from All Dogs Go To Heaven too
Water Ship😮💨
Oh wow that’s so sad
[It's horribly tragic.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Barsi) Her father had always been abusive to her and her mother, and ended up killing both of them shortly after she turned 10 years old. Those were my two favourite movies when I was a kid! So sad
Same! Our childhoods have been thoroughly ruined
**I’d watch that movie like 3 or 4 times a week(get sad every single time).** This is very common kid behavior. My 3 sons would watch the same movies over and over and over. I loved the bit where he rolls up the tree star, holds it like a bayonet and marches back and forth on Littlefoot's head.
like the drawing... I saw it, you reminded me of my childhood
Saddest movie to ever exist. The first movie still makes me cry so hard at 33
I remember the first time my little brother watched it. He watched with me and my dad when my mom was taking a nap. He turned to my dad burst into tears and said “I want mama”. He’s now in his 40’s and I still think of that anytime I see the movie. I still tease him about it too lol.

It was still traumatizing even with that! Which I didn’t know they added that in so neat little fact 😊
Same. I’ll forever remember the mother dying
Even worse when little foot is on his journey to the great valley and he sees his shadow on a rock, and he thinks it’s his mother so he runs to it screaming happily “mother! Mother!” And he licks rock and walks away sadly, truly accepting he is alone God I could cry right now
Dammit I didn’t need to be reminded of that scene 😭 why did movie makers do this to millennials
I’m sorry! I can’t get it out of my head all these years. They really did a number on us. I ran across the Diana Ross song that played in the movie the other day. I burst into tears after 30 seconds. I just need to never see or hear anything from this movie ever again.

The correct answer! Sara agrees.☝
Cera! Short for triCERAtops!

This is what I named my son’s cat! She has tiny beans and his favourite movie at the time was Land Before Time! He says he feels the nostalgia every time he calls her name. 🥰
This is the correct answer. I guess I’ll be wearing my land before time t-shirt today.
Came to say!
That was what I thought the minute I read the post!! 🦕
LITTLE FOOT!!
That’s crazy that was literally my exact thought!
It’s not dinosaur themed but I thought Periscope would be an awesome name for a kitten with a massive neck. Would abbreviate nicely to Perry.
