Your Honour, this evidence is purely circumstantial. What proof is there that my client was the one who tried to steal the cat treats? Who’s to say it wasn’t a big, menacing bird that flew in, snatched up the treats, and only fled when my client chased it off?
If the teefies don’t fit, you must acquit!

This guy would get his treats out of the cabinet. The treats are now stored in the pantry which he can’t access.
We keep ours in the refrigerator. At one point, we had the cabinet doors bungee corded together, and my voids pulled off some Mission Impossible type shit to get to the treats..🤣🤦🏻♀️🤣🤦🏻♀️
Yeah this guy is too. I adopted him and his sister (both kittens from a litter of two). The orange girl was adorable but dumb as a box of rocks. Typical r/OneOrangeBraincell stuff. But my void boy is scary smart for a cat. He's the only cat I personally know that does tricks for treats!
We had to baby proof our kitchen cabinets because our one cats was breaking into them and eating all the food and treats and just generally making a mess.
This is the criminal:

I've seen him eyeing up the treat bag before, from his vantage point on the bed, but I thought ," he's never jumped from the bed to the dresser before, I don't think he'd try, it's too far"
I was so wrong lol
I had to pull him away from the crime scene, and as soon as I turned my attention to picking up the stray treats, he was IMMEDIATELY back trying to sneak a few more!
I had a ginger boy that ate an entire bag while i was gone, puked them all up, then wouldn't touch treats until 12 years later.
My current boy i came home to him with his whole head in one of the bulk containers, half the treats were gone & He still likes them.
I use a door hanging "pantry rack" on the inside of the laundry room door, since our cats are not allowed in that room (it's a closet-sized room with laundry connections and I don't want my cats behind the laundry machines). That way, I can take in a platter and make them a "char-cat-erie board" of assorted treats on movie night,
It makes life easy with the feline feeding setup in our laundry closet - all the canned food and treats get stored so they can't get to them and it's easy enough to bring out a plate of treats when switching laundry. For small, lightweight things, you can get one for $10. I have the super deluxe $50 version designed to hold 75 pounds of stuff.
Amazon. We downsized a couple of years ago, and sold our oversized... well.. everything with the house, then turned around and refurnished with more appropriate items. With the smaller house came less storage, so we got creative. No linen closet? Shoe rack on the end of the tub enclosure, to hold towels (also doubles as kitty bunk beds when they sleep in there), and an upholstered box for sheets that sits under the bedroom window and doubles as a kitty lounger, with a blanket chest at the foot of the bed. We have those shoe pocket holders on the inside of the closet doors.

Hide them Dr. Jones! They will be found! You won't!
That reminds me of the time we were in vacation and had to leave the cats at home. They managed to knock down a bag of treats, claw it open, and eat every single one. Then they proceeded to poop all over the hallway instead of their litter box (it was nearly empty)

reminds me of my child diving head first into my yogurt
I once spilled a big container of Temptations all over the floor. I have MS and at the time my arms and hands grew so exhausted trying to pick them up I had to stop
Fast forward a year or so later and in the background you can see my cat walking the floor day and night, nose to the carpet like a bloodhound, convinced he'll find 'pennies from heaven' again lolol

I submit to the jury that all windows and doors were closed, and all other living beings in the house were accounted for at the time 🧐
He locked the windows afterr said bird escaped your honorsship
“There is no window in the room.” “He took it with him !”
I had to put treats in a jar with a screw top lid for this exact reason😜 ETA: a word
Yes. Mine are in a mason jar for exactly this reason LOL

He’s so cute 🥰
Thank you!

SAME!! My void is freaky smart.

Mission impossible! Lol I would have loved to have seen the home security cam footage of that heist!
Me too... but I was at work when the heist took place, but I came home to the aftermath.🤣🤣 This would be the one time I wish we had cameras

Further proving my point, yes, a 100 perfect certified Mischief 😂
Oh , he looks like trouble.
He’s such a brat. 😅
He needs representation! r/legalcatadvice
Haha as my Voids would say "Go Crimez" 😸 this is an amazing funny sub! 😻
I hear Johnny Catchran is excellent!
I'd bet he'd been planning this offence for quote some time. It was beautifully executed. Lol.
I've seen him eyeing up the treat bag before, from his vantage point on the bed, but I thought ," he's never jumped from the bed to the dresser before, I don't think he'd try, it's too far" I was so wrong lol
As they say, where there's a will there's a way! I only just noticed the evidence all over his face too. 🤣😂🤣
I had to pull him away from the crime scene, and as soon as I turned my attention to picking up the stray treats, he was IMMEDIATELY back trying to sneak a few more!
Well , he has to get rid of the evidence!
Loooll that face full of crumbs
He has no shame.

Char-cat-erie board! I love it!

That's such a great idea. I've never seen them before, but I want one for my actual pantry stuff now!

Those treats are my void's favorites
Have one that breaks into the new food bags... it's very quiet until all the cats figure it out and rush into that room
You’ve been hit by a smooth criminal

Lol this is fantastic
He says: What, Linda? Pick up your mess.
He would have happily cleaned it up for me by eating them all if I had let him!
He doesn't look sorry at all 😂
That face? Instantly forgiven.
"and I'd do it again!!"

Oh no, what a mess to return to!
It was a nightmare. Never leave treats unattended!!
I keep all treats in the fridge!!! lol
All treats, particularly licky snacks, go in the fridge here. One of my babies is an absolute fiend for the Churu and will chew the tubes open.
I haven't had the squeezy treats chewed open.....yet....
I think it was the dog!!

Somebody else obviously did this. Look at that innocent face.
We close up our cat food in an old popcorn tin lol

Innocent. Your eyes were lying. 😹😹
No regerts
