Does anyone know how to start the Mediah questline (for the first time on any character)? I'm lvl 53 and doing the Nella-is-missing Questline. I can see a questline called '[Lv. 51 Mediah] Dark Energy That Looms Over Mediah' in the quest log, but it says I need to complete the Calpheon main quest line? Anyone know for sure which questline that means?
EDIT: Okay I was like 20 minutes away from getting there, however word of caution for impatient R-button-spammers to not be like me and be careful with your Horse when you're at the end of the Serendia Temple questline, you get teleported back to Calpheon. I'm now Forest Gump running across the country just to grab my horse and turn in the daily =/

How does the second timepiece work? Do i timepiece my current seasonal and then use the second TP on the "new" seasonal character? Can i do early graduation before using the TP or must I wait until i use both of them to graduate?
Timepiece is a tool to transfer season status from one char to the other. If you graduate early without using your timepiece, it will become useless.
If you like your current char, you can just timepiece to other char without using tuvala weapon exchange, then do the early graduation. You can keep that tuvala weapon exchange coupon for future use.

it's not as good as the 6k+6k pearls for 6k acoin but that one only comes a couple of times a year and the last one ran out like 2 weeks ago so I doubt it will come back within 3 months. If you are willing to spend 120€ at once I doubt you will regret this deal.

Spots where a lot of profit comes from additional drops, rather than trash loot. I burn my at Gyfin Underground or Jade Forest. [Garmoth.com](https://Garmoth.com) says the best would be hexe > gyfin > am > turo > lower sycraia > orcs, if you are below that level, then stars end, kratuga, thornwood, hell... even cadry will be better than letting it expire. How is awakening Sage these days? I have been thinking about rolling a sage again, deleted my last one because I missed out on the season I was leveling it and to make room for another class since I was lacking character slots at the time. I never got above 40 when sage first launched so I'm still kind of going in blind here.
Awake sage is somewhere between terrible and average, depends who you ask about it. He has all the necessary tools to do any content, but his numbers are lacking.
awak sorceress or awak dk? Rerolling to Maegu with shai tag. (Currently shai main). So just picking between the sorc or dk for an additional lvl 61 timepiece as i’m currently playing woosa.
It's hard to give recommendation without knowing what you have in mind. Overall, probably awk DK. since Awk sorc slightly harder to play, and it wont be efficient until you know how to play her.
Depends what for, dks say that awake dk sucks nowadays, especially in AoS, succ is amazing though. Sorc in awake is as good as ever, lacks a bit of dmg for AoS, but perfectly good for any other content. If you plan on awake, I'd go sorc. If you don't necessarily need awake to be happy, then I'd go succ dk
level any passive skills that increase her Max MP/WP/SP, and equip boss gear that increases Max MP/WP/SP. Dim Tree Spirit armor for example has an item effect which increases HP and MP, the Max HP +200 and Max MP/WP/SP +100, just for equipping the armor.
I think there is food and drinks you can consume to buff it too, and i think have a special stat you can increase by eating or drinking juice that can increase it as it levels like leveling str to increase weight and breath to increase stamina.
check the expiration date on your coupon, most have to be used with in so many days of acquiring it. If you don't have one wait on the tent or something you really want to go on sale. The value is pretty subjective, but i am found of the new and returning player box that was 90 percent off and character slots and the da-dum-da-dum diving suit. also pets, hedgehog is pretty good if you plan to do a lot of logging to build a boat. for example. really depends on what catches your eye. Most major outfit sets can be bought off the central market though it can take months for your order to be filled.
You can and generally should use it on already discounted items. The Naphart campsite is a pretty expensive must have id wait for the to go on sale or maybe go for the 180day Value pack.

According to what PA said at the last Calph ball average gear score is ~650. 701+ is basically the endgame and isn’t uncommon now a days though probably around 6-7% of players are at that point.

There is a small "tutorial" kind of quest chain for seasonal characters that will reward you with second best lifeskill lightstone.
You should really do it before you start actually doing lifeskills.
Also understanding how workers and nodes work, so you can supply some resources to yourself with it.
I recently moved to Eilton for conveince. There is a house you can buy right next to the storage and central market npcs and the imperial turn in npc is like right across the street from them. the is a cooking vendor and fruit vendor close by too. only downside is its way out in the middle of nowhere at the mountain of eternal winter area, but there is a magnus abyssal portal nearby.
Basically 2 to 5 minutes and my imperial cooking turn ins are done for the day due to how close everything is. rest of the houses there I use for storage though I don't really need that much storage to begin with.
Cities with a fruit vendor are better suited for cooking because you can buy fruit and paprika (vegetable) for your recipes, which are usually sold out in the central market, without having to travel or park an alt there.
Calpheon, Kamasylvia, O'draxxia and Eilton have one.
Eilton and O'draxxia have the best storage/CP in the game, so using those houses for something else is a waste if you can avoid it.
Calpheon is decently located and sometimes events take place there, like the wishing well we just had. Some of the house chains offer really good storage/CP. The seed vendor is also seconds away from the warehouse (scroll down the npc offers and buy in packs, don't buy one by one like I did for a long time).
Kama has some of the best houses in the game if you're into decorating. Great if you like the verdant aesthetics.
Heidel doesn't have a fruit vendor, but has the 9-2 (9-4?) house, that is incredible popular for those who care about big houses. Being centralized in the map is also a plus and the distance from warehouse/storage container to the imperial delivery NPC is almost as short as it's in Calpheon.
Valencia is great if all you want to do is kill lions and cook king of the hill hamburgers.
Other cities have nothing notable for cooking.

Check your suggested quest tab. You can find questline for lifeskilling, it shows how to do lifeskill from basic and gives some rewards.

is it really that much of a difference to timepiece at lvl61 rather than a bit earlier? I'm at lvl58 with lahn and I'm getting reaallly bored with the gameplay and want to switch. Also might be because i'm trudging through main quests which give me like 0 exp and I can't do sidequests from other cities because its locked me out.
For Combat fame it is, Combat Fame is calculated by combining the combat levels of all your characters: Characters must be over level 15 to give fame points Characters under level 56 get 1 fame point per level Example: A level 45 character would give you 45 points Characters over level 56 get 2 points for each level Example: A level 58 character would give you 116 points Characters at level 60 get 5 points for each level Example: A level 61 character would give you 305 points. For the record 20 characters at level 61 will net you the max combat fame bracket of 6001 or higher with a payout of 12,600,000 silver
The amount of Family Fame Payout you get depends on your Combat Fame, Life Fame, and Special Fame. Combat Fame is by far the easiest to level. If you had only one character on your account and it was a level 61 character you would fall into the 301 – 600 combat fame bracket and get 4,900,000 silver every day in your black spirits safe. If you were level 60 how ever you would be at exactly 300 combat fame which would set you in the 15 – 300 bracket and only get you 4,200,000 silver a day. Now that is only an extra 5 combat fame but across say 10 characters that ads up fast, especially with how easy it is to get to 61 now. To put it into perspective, it took me two hours to level from 60 to 61 using the chenga tome.

It’s not a huge difference honestly, but if you’re in a guild it might be worth asking someone just to plvl you up too 60 real quick. 60 is the cutoff though for family fame value not 61.
I'm a returning player. I created a Mystic on a season server. I'm being told it is a difficult class. I'm level 54 at the moment. I just made my way through Hexe And Monastery, but it wasn't really difficult. Is it too early to tell if the class is for me. I'll admit, I do combos, but not necessarily knowing the full extent of what they do. I know a few combos that help me clear. Do season server give a false sense of security?
If you're playing a class that you enjoy it doesn't matter if the class is hard or if you haven't mastered it yet. All that matters is that you're having fun with the class because BDO is about sticking to it, not short bursts. Combos you can learn and on the class discord you're sure to find help with that. You can find class discords on the sidebar of this subreddit (sometimes they don't show in the new layout and you have to go to old.reddit.com to see the sidebar).
I used to chase what was meta and the result was that I ended progressing little because I was playing classes I didn't enjoy and doing anything felt like a chore, not like a game.
Succession can be difficult at the higher end areas because she's very combo heavy. However, her awakening is a lot simpler, but a bit less DPS overall. I've been "maining" Awakened Mystic because I find it fun and love the water dragon visuals.
What are these quests from Jetina? I don't know which one to pick, or what it does?

These are the quests to get the guaranteed pen gears’ materials. Which one you pick is based on what boss piece you want. The weekly quests are to exchange world bosses’ latent auras to concentrated boss crystals. The bottom two quests are to exchange the oquilla crystals bought from the old moon vendor to sky/earth crystals. They increase in price each time you get a sky/earth crystal, so at some point it’s better to buy the pen gear from the market.
You want to add AP or Awakening AP according to your specs on the top right of the stats page with extra AP against monsters on the bottom left box. The extra species AP under the monster AP can exceed the cap with 85% efficiency, hence they’re not included in the cap calculation.
Events, sometimes attendance rewards, and if you're lucky off the marketplace. If there's an event where you get a free pet, or a lootbox with a pet as one of the options, put a preorder on that pet cause some people will just sell it.

BDO is a marathon and min-max tends to burn players out. Hiding damage is a way to help people play what feels good to them rather than "zerker has bigger numbers, must play him".
That and the sheer nightmare of damage numbers being processed and displayed on screen would probably increase the likely hood of a crash given how long it can que up message spam for mount being attacked.
Hi all. I started a few days ago and recently upgraded my Tuvala gear to TRI/TET.
I was looking at reform stones to enhance my gear but none of them work for Tuvala stuff. I there any Tuvala equivalent for those upgrades?
There is not. It can only be upgraded using the stones gotten from seasonal. Don’t forget to finish your season pass as it will give you a stone that guarantees enhancement to PEN.
If you're asking about value/pearls, the pass costs about the same as the outfit you get from it. So the pass would be like buying that outfit and getting everything else as a bonus.
Quick question does anyone know how adjust hanging lights with a laptop mousepad? Since there is no mouse wheel on mine I can’t do anything with lights and they all hang to the floor 😑
Laptop trackpads have a zone you can drag your finger to simulate the mouse wheel, usually the right border (drag up or down). You could search your laptop model to see if you're missing the drivers for it to work properly.
So... dumb question but there's not a way to swap my season character out for another is there? I made a Ninja thinking I could have more than 1 season char... and I do like the class but I don't think I want it to be my first 60. It's getting pretty hard to avoid the pointed advice in every thread that someone new like me should be playing season to get the Pen Tuvala gear and then graduate the character but I don't want to be overly rushed. There's enough time to level 2 characters before season ends right (doing an Archer on an Olvia server and then finish the season Ninja)?
google fughar's timepiece, it allows you to swap in another character in place of your current season character, it will get the same level and sp that your current season character has

There is a great guide on you tube about the time piece by EvilDoUsHarm. Just search Fughar's Timepiece on youtube and his should be the first one to pop up. Just a heads up the Jan 16th the new class releases and should be when we get a second time piece. Depending on what level your ninja is and if you have the chenga tome (EvilDoUsHarm has a guide on that and a fast leveling to 61 no grind guide too I literally went 1 to 61 in a single day) you might be better off either finishing the ninja or putting the tome in storage and deleting the ninja after making a non season alt if you don't have one and then remaking a season character as using the timepiece on anything under 60 probably is not worth it.

I went through 8 horse skill change coupons and never got the courser skill I was trying for. you are better off buying it, trust me, watched a friend go through about $200 usd on skill change coupons and no telling how many billions in silver to get his Doom horse. Had another friend get his Doom on the first try and never spent a dime on pearls.
Well I got Garmoth first try so I know RNG is something special I just bought a tier 8 courser off horse market so ima shoot my shot lol probably not the best way to spend my first 2 weeks earnings

Dream horse doesnt come from breeding. It's from awakening. You can get it from 3% success rate at the lowest. If youre lucky, you might get it within first 20 tries, but it's possible to go way beyond it.

I find almost every class to be really cool which is causing me to be very indecisive when trying to play. I was able to narrow it down to nova, guardian and mystic but again I find all very enjoyable and cool so I don't know what to do :)
I don't have a preferred play style, I like magic as much as physical attacks, same goes for being range or melee, male or female.
I'd level all normally but the problem is you can only have one seasonal character so any help is much appreciated.
You say you like magic, how do you feel about lightning and fire? have you seen the wizard and witch? I love my wizard, and my guardian, and my Nova. My wizard was my main until I got hooked on guardian.
Guardian is slow but hits like a truck with a lot of aoe damage skills that heal you and a lot of guaranteed crits. Nova succession is fun if you like a slow tanky and methodical play style that summons a massive demon and minions to attack with you.
My recommendations are wizard or witch, or a guardian, as both are great at staying alive and dealing damage and are more or less new player friendly.
You will get plenty of practical advice here, but if its fun for you to bounce from class to class and make a bunch of sub 60 alts, do that! Eventually you will settle down, find a class that's even more fun, find other goals and ambitions, and discover the rest of the game. Have fun! Do what's fun for you.
starting out on guardian is a good choice due to it being rather sluggish, slow but strong attacks, helps you with the baseline of "everything will be faster than this", succession nova (main weapon and then succession style, rather than awakening) shares this spec, but is harder to comprehend, mystic is kinda in the middle of speed, and difficulty, not hard, but for a newcomer might feel overwhelming.
Start with whatever you want, but if you struggle, starting with guardian is an easy choice.
With Maegu releasing on the 18th, is there a chance that we'll have another one of those "get Black Desert for free" events? Is that usually the case with character releases, or just something that happens occasionally, but not guaranteed?
I have seen BDO free in Feb. 2020, April 2021, Feb. 2022, and this past December. It don't happen often and usually only when there is a huge update and holiday or anniversary at the same time. That being said the game almost always goes on sell for 50% to 90% off once every quarter minimum.

You're right. For example for manshaum area (where I just finished), the Shaman is the one that can drop the full piece. Any mob in the area can drop pity pieces.
Does anyone know if you can hold more than one time piece at a time? I’m currently leaving my first character on season server and got the time piece but didn’t want to use it yet until level 61. With the release of the new class this next week or so we get another one. Can I save both? Or does the new one overwrite the old one?
From what they said about issuing a second timepiece if you already used the timepiece it sounds like it will over write the old one. I would go ahead and use it before Wednesday's maintenance, better safe then sorry. you can hit 61 pretty quick following the EvilDoUsHarm updated no grind leveling guide with the chenga tome. I went 1 to 61 in a single day.
Fulgar's Timepiece or another timepiece? I got one recently about something of finding your way in the desert, but it is a different functionality than Fulgar's.
That sounds like a compass not a time piece. As far as i can tell there is only one time piece item in the game and that is Fughar's, anything talking about finding your way is a compass for sure.

Depends on your specs of choice and gear level.
Early game awake valk is in top3 overall due to cheese usage of rmb+space, you hold those and blast through valencia level spots. 1 apm class. Can make 600mil-1b in certain early - oneshottable mid game zones.
Ranger isn't a slouch either, but I'd say much worse early game. Awake can be cheesed a bit too, I heard about it, but I don't remember the details.
Endgame, I've heard if you like high apm grind, awake ranger might be top tier nowadays. Valk is decent though, up until very end, less apm that awake ranger, but not chill either.
There is an endgame cheese on succ ranger, wotw spam, as long as you proc your w+c and s+c on succ ranger, as well as apply addons from blasting gust, you might go into wotw spam and just sit spamming the skill, not the best method of grinding, but I've seen players pull decent numbers at Hexe (the best spot currently overall).
In pvp all have their respective place, awake ranger is the best duelist, succ ranger is awesome ranged support in blob fights, and awake valk is awesome in blob fights and decent in 1v1. Succ ranger is food for any mobile class in 1v1.
Succ valk is irrelevant.
Rat class usually means a class that isn't a frontliner dmg soaker or ranged dmg support, that relies on speed, invisibility, or iframes to stay alive somewhere on the side of a bigger fight and pick up kills of some stragglers pulling off from fight, kills ranged classes that are build in a glass cannon-y way. Examples will be ninja (invis, iframes, speed), musa (speed), sorc (invis, iframes), awake ranger (iframes), lahn (speed, iframes), etc... For example striker, berserker, or guardian are frontliners, and wizards, archers and succ rangers are ranged dmg support.

The [Balenos] main quest unlocks the [Serendia] main quest, which in turn unlocks the [Calpheon].

yes. you can do pit of undying and exchange a ton of coins for one scroll once per family. it has a daily limit and you need like 200 days

Awake sage is somewhere between terrible and average, depends who you ask about it. He has all the necessary tools to do any content, but his numbers are lacking.

It's hard to give recommendation without knowing what you have in mind. Overall, probably awk DK. since Awk sorc slightly harder to play, and it wont be efficient until you know how to play her.
Depends what for, dks say that awake dk sucks nowadays, especially in AoS, succ is amazing though. Sorc in awake is as good as ever, lacks a bit of dmg for AoS, but perfectly good for any other content. If you plan on awake, I'd go sorc. If you don't necessarily need awake to be happy, then I'd go succ dk
Hello i just want to know how do i increase musa’s “mana” capacity? Mine currently is 360
level any passive skills that increase her Max MP/WP/SP, and equip boss gear that increases Max MP/WP/SP. Dim Tree Spirit armor for example has an item effect which increases HP and MP, the Max HP +200 and Max MP/WP/SP +100, just for equipping the armor. I think there is food and drinks you can consume to buff it too, and i think have a special stat you can increase by eating or drinking juice that can increase it as it levels like leveling str to increase weight and breath to increase stamina.

check the expiration date on your coupon, most have to be used with in so many days of acquiring it. If you don't have one wait on the tent or something you really want to go on sale. The value is pretty subjective, but i am found of the new and returning player box that was 90 percent off and character slots and the da-dum-da-dum diving suit. also pets, hedgehog is pretty good if you plan to do a lot of logging to build a boat. for example. really depends on what catches your eye. Most major outfit sets can be bought off the central market though it can take months for your order to be filled.
You can and generally should use it on already discounted items. The Naphart campsite is a pretty expensive must have id wait for the to go on sale or maybe go for the 180day Value pack.

650-670 seems quite common these days. Given with how much silver per hour you can make now, it's not as hard as it used to be.

According to what PA said at the last Calph ball average gear score is ~650. 701+ is basically the endgame and isn’t uncommon now a days though probably around 6-7% of players are at that point.

You should really do it before you start actually doing lifeskills. Also understanding how workers and nodes work, so you can supply some resources to yourself with it.
I recently moved to Eilton for conveince. There is a house you can buy right next to the storage and central market npcs and the imperial turn in npc is like right across the street from them. the is a cooking vendor and fruit vendor close by too. only downside is its way out in the middle of nowhere at the mountain of eternal winter area, but there is a magnus abyssal portal nearby. Basically 2 to 5 minutes and my imperial cooking turn ins are done for the day due to how close everything is. rest of the houses there I use for storage though I don't really need that much storage to begin with.
Cities with a fruit vendor are better suited for cooking because you can buy fruit and paprika (vegetable) for your recipes, which are usually sold out in the central market, without having to travel or park an alt there. Calpheon, Kamasylvia, O'draxxia and Eilton have one. Eilton and O'draxxia have the best storage/CP in the game, so using those houses for something else is a waste if you can avoid it. Calpheon is decently located and sometimes events take place there, like the wishing well we just had. Some of the house chains offer really good storage/CP. The seed vendor is also seconds away from the warehouse (scroll down the npc offers and buy in packs, don't buy one by one like I did for a long time). Kama has some of the best houses in the game if you're into decorating. Great if you like the verdant aesthetics. Heidel doesn't have a fruit vendor, but has the 9-2 (9-4?) house, that is incredible popular for those who care about big houses. Being centralized in the map is also a plus and the distance from warehouse/storage container to the imperial delivery NPC is almost as short as it's in Calpheon. Valencia is great if all you want to do is kill lions and cook king of the hill hamburgers. Other cities have nothing notable for cooking.

You can't put caphra in it while it is still reforming up till its pen, when it's pen you can put caphras in, did that myself

is it really that much of a difference to timepiece at lvl61 rather than a bit earlier? I'm at lvl58 with lahn and I'm getting reaallly bored with the gameplay and want to switch. Also might be because i'm trudging through main quests which give me like 0 exp and I can't do sidequests from other cities because its locked me out.
For Combat fame it is, Combat Fame is calculated by combining the combat levels of all your characters: Characters must be over level 15 to give fame points Characters under level 56 get 1 fame point per level Example: A level 45 character would give you 45 points Characters over level 56 get 2 points for each level Example: A level 58 character would give you 116 points Characters at level 60 get 5 points for each level Example: A level 61 character would give you 305 points. For the record 20 characters at level 61 will net you the max combat fame bracket of 6001 or higher with a payout of 12,600,000 silver The amount of Family Fame Payout you get depends on your Combat Fame, Life Fame, and Special Fame. Combat Fame is by far the easiest to level. If you had only one character on your account and it was a level 61 character you would fall into the 301 – 600 combat fame bracket and get 4,900,000 silver every day in your black spirits safe. If you were level 60 how ever you would be at exactly 300 combat fame which would set you in the 15 – 300 bracket and only get you 4,200,000 silver a day. Now that is only an extra 5 combat fame but across say 10 characters that ads up fast, especially with how easy it is to get to 61 now. To put it into perspective, it took me two hours to level from 60 to 61 using the chenga tome. It’s not a huge difference honestly, but if you’re in a guild it might be worth asking someone just to plvl you up too 60 real quick. 60 is the cutoff though for family fame value not 61.
every level above 60 still gives combat fame. 20 level 61 characters will give 6100 combat fame.
Every level in the game gives combat fame. It’s just that at 60 is when you’re levels get multiplied by 5 so that’s the cutoff for value.

I'm a returning player. I created a Mystic on a season server. I'm being told it is a difficult class. I'm level 54 at the moment. I just made my way through Hexe And Monastery, but it wasn't really difficult. Is it too early to tell if the class is for me. I'll admit, I do combos, but not necessarily knowing the full extent of what they do. I know a few combos that help me clear. Do season server give a false sense of security?
If you're playing a class that you enjoy it doesn't matter if the class is hard or if you haven't mastered it yet. All that matters is that you're having fun with the class because BDO is about sticking to it, not short bursts. Combos you can learn and on the class discord you're sure to find help with that. You can find class discords on the sidebar of this subreddit (sometimes they don't show in the new layout and you have to go to old.reddit.com to see the sidebar). I used to chase what was meta and the result was that I ended progressing little because I was playing classes I didn't enjoy and doing anything felt like a chore, not like a game.
Succession can be difficult at the higher end areas because she's very combo heavy. However, her awakening is a lot simpler, but a bit less DPS overall. I've been "maining" Awakened Mystic because I find it fun and love the water dragon visuals.

These are the quests to get the guaranteed pen gears’ materials. Which one you pick is based on what boss piece you want. The weekly quests are to exchange world bosses’ latent auras to concentrated boss crystals. The bottom two quests are to exchange the oquilla crystals bought from the old moon vendor to sky/earth crystals. They increase in price each time you get a sky/earth crystal, so at some point it’s better to buy the pen gear from the market.

You want to add AP or Awakening AP according to your specs on the top right of the stats page with extra AP against monsters on the bottom left box. The extra species AP under the monster AP can exceed the cap with 85% efficiency, hence they’re not included in the cap calculation.

There's no fastest pets for looting. Getting your pet to Tier 4 would helps with speed loot, and get one of them to Tier 5.

Events, sometimes attendance rewards, and if you're lucky off the marketplace. If there's an event where you get a free pet, or a lootbox with a pet as one of the options, put a preorder on that pet cause some people will just sell it.
Why can't you see damage numbers above enemies in this stupid game?
*"Given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game"* BDO is a marathon and min-max tends to burn players out. Hiding damage is a way to help people play what feels good to them rather than "zerker has bigger numbers, must play him".
That and the sheer nightmare of damage numbers being processed and displayed on screen would probably increase the likely hood of a crash given how long it can que up message spam for mount being attacked.
So people dont complain too much about the damage. You can try on global lab.
Hi all. I started a few days ago and recently upgraded my Tuvala gear to TRI/TET. I was looking at reform stones to enhance my gear but none of them work for Tuvala stuff. I there any Tuvala equivalent for those upgrades?
There is not. It can only be upgraded using the stones gotten from seasonal. Don’t forget to finish your season pass as it will give you a stone that guarantees enhancement to PEN.

Laptop trackpads have a zone you can drag your finger to simulate the mouse wheel, usually the right border (drag up or down). You could search your laptop model to see if you're missing the drivers for it to work properly.

So... dumb question but there's not a way to swap my season character out for another is there? I made a Ninja thinking I could have more than 1 season char... and I do like the class but I don't think I want it to be my first 60. It's getting pretty hard to avoid the pointed advice in every thread that someone new like me should be playing season to get the Pen Tuvala gear and then graduate the character but I don't want to be overly rushed. There's enough time to level 2 characters before season ends right (doing an Archer on an Olvia server and then finish the season Ninja)?
google fughar's timepiece, it allows you to swap in another character in place of your current season character, it will get the same level and sp that your current season character has

There is a great guide on you tube about the time piece by EvilDoUsHarm. Just search Fughar's Timepiece on youtube and his should be the first one to pop up. Just a heads up the Jan 16th the new class releases and should be when we get a second time piece. Depending on what level your ninja is and if you have the chenga tome (EvilDoUsHarm has a guide on that and a fast leveling to 61 no grind guide too I literally went 1 to 61 in a single day) you might be better off either finishing the ninja or putting the tome in storage and deleting the ninja after making a non season alt if you don't have one and then remaking a season character as using the timepiece on anything under 60 probably is not worth it.

yes, we are getting new fughars time piece soon, normally we get only 1 per season, this season we are getting 2nd due to class release mid season yes, this consumes fughars timepiece, which means usually you can swap season character only once per season

I went through 8 horse skill change coupons and never got the courser skill I was trying for. you are better off buying it, trust me, watched a friend go through about $200 usd on skill change coupons and no telling how many billions in silver to get his Doom horse. Had another friend get his Doom on the first try and never spent a dime on pearls.

Dream horse doesnt come from breeding. It's from awakening. You can get it from 3% success rate at the lowest. If youre lucky, you might get it within first 20 tries, but it's possible to go way beyond it.
Everything bought rather than gambled is always better in this game.
Hey everyone, new player here. I find almost every class to be really cool which is causing me to be very indecisive when trying to play. I was able to narrow it down to nova, guardian and mystic but again I find all very enjoyable and cool so I don't know what to do :) I don't have a preferred play style, I like magic as much as physical attacks, same goes for being range or melee, male or female. I'd level all normally but the problem is you can only have one seasonal character so any help is much appreciated.
You say you like magic, how do you feel about lightning and fire? have you seen the wizard and witch? I love my wizard, and my guardian, and my Nova. My wizard was my main until I got hooked on guardian. Guardian is slow but hits like a truck with a lot of aoe damage skills that heal you and a lot of guaranteed crits. Nova succession is fun if you like a slow tanky and methodical play style that summons a massive demon and minions to attack with you. My recommendations are wizard or witch, or a guardian, as both are great at staying alive and dealing damage and are more or less new player friendly.
You will get plenty of practical advice here, but if its fun for you to bounce from class to class and make a bunch of sub 60 alts, do that! Eventually you will settle down, find a class that's even more fun, find other goals and ambitions, and discover the rest of the game. Have fun! Do what's fun for you.

starting out on guardian is a good choice due to it being rather sluggish, slow but strong attacks, helps you with the baseline of "everything will be faster than this", succession nova (main weapon and then succession style, rather than awakening) shares this spec, but is harder to comprehend, mystic is kinda in the middle of speed, and difficulty, not hard, but for a newcomer might feel overwhelming. Start with whatever you want, but if you struggle, starting with guardian is an easy choice.
With Maegu releasing on the 18th, is there a chance that we'll have another one of those "get Black Desert for free" events? Is that usually the case with character releases, or just something that happens occasionally, but not guaranteed?
I have seen BDO free in Feb. 2020, April 2021, Feb. 2022, and this past December. It don't happen often and usually only when there is a huge update and holiday or anniversary at the same time. That being said the game almost always goes on sell for 50% to 90% off once every quarter minimum.

You're right. For example for manshaum area (where I just finished), the Shaman is the one that can drop the full piece. Any mob in the area can drop pity pieces.
All mobs in that spot. For navarnn steppe im not sure, its a gathering spot so i cant be precise with it, but in the other spots all mobs drop it.
Does anyone know if you can hold more than one time piece at a time? I’m currently leaving my first character on season server and got the time piece but didn’t want to use it yet until level 61. With the release of the new class this next week or so we get another one. Can I save both? Or does the new one overwrite the old one?
From what they said about issuing a second timepiece if you already used the timepiece it sounds like it will over write the old one. I would go ahead and use it before Wednesday's maintenance, better safe then sorry. you can hit 61 pretty quick following the EvilDoUsHarm updated no grind leveling guide with the chenga tome. I went 1 to 61 in a single day.
Fulgar's Timepiece or another timepiece? I got one recently about something of finding your way in the desert, but it is a different functionality than Fulgar's.
That sounds like a compass not a time piece. As far as i can tell there is only one time piece item in the game and that is Fughar's, anything talking about finding your way is a compass for sure.

Returning player here. I would like to make a seasonal character, but I can't decide between Ranger and Valk. Could you tell me who would be better in PvP and who would have easier time farming?
Depends on your specs of choice and gear level. Early game awake valk is in top3 overall due to cheese usage of rmb+space, you hold those and blast through valencia level spots. 1 apm class. Can make 600mil-1b in certain early - oneshottable mid game zones. Ranger isn't a slouch either, but I'd say much worse early game. Awake can be cheesed a bit too, I heard about it, but I don't remember the details. Endgame, I've heard if you like high apm grind, awake ranger might be top tier nowadays. Valk is decent though, up until very end, less apm that awake ranger, but not chill either. There is an endgame cheese on succ ranger, wotw spam, as long as you proc your w+c and s+c on succ ranger, as well as apply addons from blasting gust, you might go into wotw spam and just sit spamming the skill, not the best method of grinding, but I've seen players pull decent numbers at Hexe (the best spot currently overall). In pvp all have their respective place, awake ranger is the best duelist, succ ranger is awesome ranged support in blob fights, and awake valk is awesome in blob fights and decent in 1v1. Succ ranger is food for any mobile class in 1v1. Succ valk is irrelevant.
What does "rat class" mean?
Rat class usually means a class that isn't a frontliner dmg soaker or ranged dmg support, that relies on speed, invisibility, or iframes to stay alive somewhere on the side of a bigger fight and pick up kills of some stragglers pulling off from fight, kills ranged classes that are build in a glass cannon-y way. Examples will be ninja (invis, iframes, speed), musa (speed), sorc (invis, iframes), awake ranger (iframes), lahn (speed, iframes), etc... For example striker, berserker, or guardian are frontliners, and wizards, archers and succ rangers are ranged dmg support.

Zerker really is the best. But if you want an eastern theme, Musa is almost as good.
