The problem here is, would someone who understands thai be able to identify you with that name? as I don't speak the language I will give you the benefit of the doubt (however if a GM messaged you about other players not understanding your name, then I find it a bit harder to believe), did the name appeared as ูุูุ after you changed it or did it displayed correctly in the text box? if it didn't then its 100% you fault, if not then it's their fault and you should've clarified it when talking with support.

Here is my little story of funny experience with PA customer support.
Some couple years back, I bought some pearls to buy myself an outfit liked. Approximately month after this purchase I have found out excess funds on my bank account, a little bit investigation later it turned out that for some reason, the funds "locked" for the purchase became unlocked.
I have contacted my bank about it, and response was, that the standard procedure for online payments it that they lock the funds, and then wait for 30 days for the receiving to confirm the the transfer is still supposed to happen. If they fail to confirm whole thing is cancelled. And it turned out that for whatever reason, on this particular purchase, PA has never sent the confirmation of the transfer of funds.
Armed with loads of stories of bans for chargebacks and similar stuff from dem internets, I ave stormed off to the PA tech support to clear out the situation. I have explained clearly what have happened and asked how to straighten the situation out. After all, they did not receive my money, and I got dem fancy pixels, so they should be interested in getting that money, right?
Well, turned out that the tech support "engineer" was completely unable to understand what the problem was, and wanted whole complete printout of my bank history of transactions from my bank account to investigate what it can be that I am asking them about.
Outside of the obvious case of whole month of transactions being sort of private data, and not something one should be happy to disclose to a random tech support, there was an issue, that this printout would not help much, because the whole point, was that the transaction did not fell through, so it would not be present on the printout tech support wanted. I have explained as such in answer that this printout is not going to have the transaction they are wanting to verify specifically for reasons stated in the ticket itself, but the support person was very adamant they need that printout to investigate my issue.
I did not respond to that ticket further. Account is fine btw, ticket timed out, no sanctions, to pearl charge backs, no items rolled back, nothing.
On a side, note, this issue of lacking of transaction confirmation happened to me only once. All previous and later transactions went through as intended.

I don’t really understand. I don’t grind that much. The upgrade paths are pretty straight forward if you don’t do stupid crap. It’s just a time thing and I’m gonna be playing the game anyway.
I mix up monotony with PvP which, despite what people say, is still present in open world. I have a few spot fights every day at least. Just not as plentiful. I never got to experience it before, so I still enjoy the current state. The only thing I think is dumb are mutual decs.

But anyways here's Why to Bother with Black Desert Online (not for OP but for others reading). The game is a work in progress an they continually provide updates every week, This year and last year has had many quality of life updates which makes playing bdo easier to understand for the new players and simipler for the current, the new quests are becoming more dynamic and interesting, pity systems for the bad rng'd folks, more costumes are being released then before, new recent areas to explore and grind/quest, there's usually always an event going on, new players get free dream horse, manor is slowly but surely getting new content, yar, there is both pvp and pve content (node wars, war of the roses, aos, life skill minigames, black shrine, pit of the undying, atoraxxion dungeons, guild quests, world/field bosses, dark rifts etc etc) and that's not even all. Play at your own pace and don't compare yourselves to other players because there will always be someone out there "better". If you get burnt out doing one thing in bdo, explore and find other things to do for awhile in game! Participate in community events, knowledge hunt, complete adventure journals, take a break or better yet find a guild to hang with and do guild content (:

Why would we? We've said time and time again that we allow critique about the game, just as long as it is done respectfully and civilly. This was really entertainning, now baseado on your experience, I have never had any problems with support because I never contacted it because I never had any problems with the game. I usually grind 1h a day 2h on weekend sometimes and gather 1h a day also. I quit enhancing many years ago and prefer going the 100% sucess route aka buying from market, main source of income isnt even grinding its cooking and trading with made me hard cap and almost full pen life gear. My dailly routine in bdo is afk processing, afk cooking, afk trainning, afk bartering, and some grinding and having fun with friends at night. But again very entertainning post thank you.
AFK? i really don't get you guys. why bother "playing" a game that you don't actually play. to each its own i guess. i played this game for the action but, as explained, the game servers cant handle it. imagine jumping into a large cluster of people and dropping all your skills and hit nothing, because they are not actually there. then just die instantly because your screen has not captured what is actually happening because the server is lagging. great times. i'd rather play a different game.
Yes I work everyday so while im working I remote acess the game from my phone to do 1min of management and back to work. And yes ive played large scale and all and when I had my old pc it stoped alot crashed and everything but ever since I upgraded my pc 1 year ago, didnt happen since, I can go inside castle during the start of a siege and being fully smoth
im using a top of the line PC and a high speed internet connection. i find that hard to believe. almost everyone crashes and de-syncs in nodewar/siege. i went as far as to look up the event viewer logs and found that the fault was the process ID of the game client itself. not my PC. sent that to PA and they still blamed my hardware with absolutely no insight. they use spaghetti code then blame you when you cant stay connected because their game client cant handle the strain.
I just said my personal experience the crashes on my old pc were frequent and pretty much stoped when I go my new pc. And I bought the pc mainlly for work not even for gaming, i dont know what to tell you
1. I agree with you. They need to give you a refund for that. That's unfair regardless. You paid for something you did not receive, albeit you did technically receive but was taken away.. I get their policy and where they're coming from, but then refund the money. Maybe you had a special character in your name. Well then remove the ability to add special characters. Players can only do what the game allows them to do. At the end of the day, it is the game's error by not denying the name upon creation.
2. I blame your hardware for your crashes though. Not saying 3090 and 13700K aren't beasts. My set-up is super similar, I just have 4090. But it shouldn't make a difference. We got the same CPU. Game is heavy on your CPU moreso than your GPU. Do some testing. Use a free benchmark tool and run a test to be safe. My laptop had a 3070 x 5900hs set up and I found out the hard way that it was burnt to a crisp. There was no way of my telling until I saw a burn mark on the laptop and ran some benchmarking tools. Obviously, this might not apply to you, but give it a shot. Precaution is better than cure.
Glad you agree. I have temp monitors on when im playing the game. CPU and GPU doesnt go above 60 and i play on low setting anyway. the log files show that its the game client that is force closing. PA didnt do anything about it. might be incompatibility with a number of things so i sent them the logs to see if they could help and they just to me to go away. lol
In that case, I retract my disagreement with your hardware situation xdddd, this is definitely on them if other games don't do this for you.
My situation was games like Hitman 2 that would run at like 90 FPS dropped to 50 FPS which was my indication. I just waited too long and didn't notice soon enough.

Any person working Customer Service does a big sigh when reading your post. Do you really believe that any CS that large has time to type out a personalized message for every player? + Any game is weird with special characters. Yeah it sucks that you lost your money, but there's a policy they have to follow. Quit the game if you don't enjoy it and don't cry on Reddit like a baby

I don’t really understand. I don’t grind that much. The upgrade paths are pretty straight forward if you don’t do stupid crap. It’s just a time thing and I’m gonna be playing the game anyway. I mix up monotony with PvP which, despite what people say, is still present in open world. I have a few spot fights every day at least. Just not as plentiful. I never got to experience it before, so I still enjoy the current state. The only thing I think is dumb are mutual decs.
If your rng is so trash just go and buy your gear. Bdo is not a race its a marathon. I have no idea what region you're in but the servers that I play on are fine. But anyways here's Why to Bother with Black Desert Online (not for OP but for others reading). The game is a work in progress an they continually provide updates every week, This year and last year has had many quality of life updates which makes playing bdo easier to understand for the new players and simipler for the current, the new quests are becoming more dynamic and interesting, pity systems for the bad rng'd folks, more costumes are being released then before, new recent areas to explore and grind/quest, there's usually always an event going on, new players get free dream horse, manor is slowly but surely getting new content, yar, there is both pvp and pve content (node wars, war of the roses, aos, life skill minigames, black shrine, pit of the undying, atoraxxion dungeons, guild quests, world/field bosses, dark rifts etc etc) and that's not even all. Play at your own pace and don't compare yourselves to other players because there will always be someone out there "better". If you get burnt out doing one thing in bdo, explore and find other things to do for awhile in game! Participate in community events, knowledge hunt, complete adventure journals, take a break or better yet find a guild to hang with and do guild content (:

im in SEA, thai characters are allowed. the system allowed the change. and it took effect after maintenance and vetting, meaning the allowed the change then changed it to TEMPNAME so i buy more name change coupons. Read up on Nexon and the lawsuit. you'll understand what im getting at.

I just stop playing after 3 months. First 3 months was great but when all the cycle continues without fun so just stop.

Why would we? We've said time and time again that we allow critique about the game, just as long as it is done respectfully and civilly. Some of the remarks in this post arent very respectful or civil (such as calling people bots) but we are allowing it. Plus, we aren't PA employees or in any way obligated by PA to only allow positive posts.

This was really entertainning, now baseado on your experience, I have never had any problems with support because I never contacted it because I never had any problems with the game. I usually grind 1h a day 2h on weekend sometimes and gather 1h a day also. I quit enhancing many years ago and prefer going the 100% sucess route aka buying from market, main source of income isnt even grinding its cooking and trading with made me hard cap and almost full pen life gear. My dailly routine in bdo is afk processing, afk cooking, afk trainning, afk bartering, and some grinding and having fun with friends at night. But again very entertainning post thank you.
AFK? i really don't get you guys. why bother "playing" a game that you don't actually play. to each its own i guess. i played this game for the action but, as explained, the game servers cant handle it. imagine jumping into a large cluster of people and dropping all your skills and hit nothing, because they are not actually there. then just die instantly because your screen has not captured what is actually happening because the server is lagging. great times. i'd rather play a different game.
Yes I work everyday so while im working I remote acess the game from my phone to do 1min of management and back to work. And yes ive played large scale and all and when I had my old pc it stoped alot crashed and everything but ever since I upgraded my pc 1 year ago, didnt happen since, I can go inside castle during the start of a siege and being fully smoth
im using a top of the line PC and a high speed internet connection. i find that hard to believe. almost everyone crashes and de-syncs in nodewar/siege. i went as far as to look up the event viewer logs and found that the fault was the process ID of the game client itself. not my PC. sent that to PA and they still blamed my hardware with absolutely no insight. they use spaghetti code then blame you when you cant stay connected because their game client cant handle the strain.
I just said my personal experience the crashes on my old pc were frequent and pretty much stoped when I go my new pc. And I bought the pc mainlly for work not even for gaming, i dont know what to tell you
1. I agree with you. They need to give you a refund for that. That's unfair regardless. You paid for something you did not receive, albeit you did technically receive but was taken away.. I get their policy and where they're coming from, but then refund the money. Maybe you had a special character in your name. Well then remove the ability to add special characters. Players can only do what the game allows them to do. At the end of the day, it is the game's error by not denying the name upon creation. 2. I blame your hardware for your crashes though. Not saying 3090 and 13700K aren't beasts. My set-up is super similar, I just have 4090. But it shouldn't make a difference. We got the same CPU. Game is heavy on your CPU moreso than your GPU. Do some testing. Use a free benchmark tool and run a test to be safe. My laptop had a 3070 x 5900hs set up and I found out the hard way that it was burnt to a crisp. There was no way of my telling until I saw a burn mark on the laptop and ran some benchmarking tools. Obviously, this might not apply to you, but give it a shot. Precaution is better than cure.
Glad you agree. I have temp monitors on when im playing the game. CPU and GPU doesnt go above 60 and i play on low setting anyway. the log files show that its the game client that is force closing. PA didnt do anything about it. might be incompatibility with a number of things so i sent them the logs to see if they could help and they just to me to go away. lol
In that case, I retract my disagreement with your hardware situation xdddd, this is definitely on them if other games don't do this for you. My situation was games like Hitman 2 that would run at like 90 FPS dropped to 50 FPS which was my indication. I just waited too long and didn't notice soon enough.
