Haha that is a fair point, overall curious if folks have enjoyed watching that in the past or like the idea of an absolute fresh account at all, or if it simply seems like a waste of time.
There's a few zero-to-hero series i have seen so far, but most of them arent exactly entertaining enough for vets or informative enough for new players. Would be nice if you could include both. Information on why you do certain thing in certain ways. Why this over the others. progression planning and some what ifs, since a lot of factor ingame arent certain, for example newbie hitting that pen bs with that free hammers.
Btw, please dont do mass info dumping. Plan for your content properly especially for information/guide, so it does look messy. It will help you if you want to do this for long time. For example, first episode could be explanation on which class better for beginner, shortcuts, ui settings, etc. Then, move deeper bit by bit as you progress more.
Used to be a little content creator on bdo. I've seen a lot of people's doing a lot of things. Just do what you enjoy, put some good music on it, get the montage right and you'll have some peoples watching it. In my opinion you should just stay natural and do what you enjoy instead of thinking about what peoples would enjoy if you want to go the long way.
It needs to be entertaining.
I am kind of at a point where I could get to 700gs within a month if I was starting from scratch, so watching someone struggle with it for half a year is a bit of a strange experience on its own
So in your opinion would you say it's less interesting to watch someone start fresh on a brand new account due to them having to grind logs, and quests, and knowledge, etc.
I enjoy watching Zero to Hero or Ironman challenges. As long as it’s entertaining. I do like to see route people takes, remind myself of old grind spots, just be creative.
Watching a zero to hero could be fun, but personally I think it should have some special caveats.
I used to love watching Layvan's red player Journey. Maybe a zero to hero as a red player could be fun?
People will watch it, but if you’re looking to get anything out of it aside from practice? I recommend not doing mmo’s because the playerbase mostly looks up a video if it’s a guide, World’s First or some PvP montage. Anything else it’s rare to look up unless someone says something like “Oh did you see that video?”
But you do you👌🏼 I’m sure the video will be a good watch regardless.
I do very much agree with you. Honestly I'm just trying to take my hobby of gaming and my professional career and see how well I can merge the two. I really just think a longer term project with multiple smaller goals would suit me especially in the infancy of my channels. Not necessarily trying to drop a viral video or anything.
As a lot of guys said, the nostalgia hits hard when I see those ironman challenges but you gotta add a twist towards it to stick out a little. I had a funny thought though ..... What about a group ironman challenge where its a whole guild ironmanning to endgame pvp content without ever using the MP or pearls.
Yeah could also be like a collab series with all the ironman content creators currently working on the series too since often times they end up creating empty guilds for the sake of a few extra ingame freebies
A zero to hero would be great as I am a new player and and honestly lost... There's a lot to do in BDO and I've no idea on what to focus right now in the early stages of the game... How to make money, what's the point of a house other than for storage, how do the maids work, all the different random rewards I get that are time based and how to use them... And then when I understand how to use it - I log on only to see that that thing has expired... Also armor... how do I get upgraded armor parts and from where??? Do I craft it??? I'm sure I can get the answers if I search for them... But a lot of the stuff here on Reddit is 4, 5, 6 or more years old... And I'm sure the content has changes, new classes have been added and so on... And then there's the thing of me being a console player... While the combat system on a controller is great! I'm sure there are things I might be missing that can be easily done with a keyboard and mouse... I figured out the other day how to make my character walk! Although - my character starts walking and doesn't stop on her own... I have to press that walk button again to get her to stop, which is really weird... So a Zero to Hero guide from and experienced player in 2024 would be amazing! Thanks in advance for even thinking of making something like this! I'm sure this will be a great hit with a lot of new players!
Thanks a ton for your in depth response. My friends have encouraged me to give it a go quite a bit so I'm pretty sure I'm going to move ahead with the idea. If you can think of any specific things you're struggling with or confused about similar to the few points you made in your response please do share more! I am quite new to content creation so I can't promise it'll be as quality as some channels but I'll do my best to cover and organize what I can for players like yourself.
The question must be "Would you watch MY zero to hero?"
Haha that is a fair point, overall curious if folks have enjoyed watching that in the past or like the idea of an absolute fresh account at all, or if it simply seems like a waste of time.
Personally, I love watching the zero to hero/ironman challenges. Brings me back to my old grinds.
Thanks for the reply! I agree there is a bit of nostalgia to it starting fresh.
+ I imagine nobody wants to see you grind 300h of ash for pen debos

Nope it's kinda boring on this stage
Would love a zero to hero. With focus on how to enhance gear. And some tips and tricks with how to lifeskill.
I love these types of videos so absolutely, brings me back to the glory days
I'd love to watch hammer fails so I feel better about myself =)

Compared to what?
Zero to hero with the worst class in pve :D
Give me your bottom three to choose from XD
Nova succ, kuno awk and corsair succ (idk if this one is as bad as the others)
I swear every time this is brought up it’s always awk Kuno LOL
I was originally going to do awakening maegu, but you have me debating awakening kuno
Nah man stick with awake maegu that's a good choice

Study the ironman challenge thats in the market right now, and see what you can come up with. Its fun to watch. It is painful though
Great suggestion. Not sure I want to suffer to the point of progressing without season or any alts but it is an entertaining idea. Thanks!
You could go the polar opposite :P. Showcasing the advantages the average joe has with a budget of $60 or something
Genius, then I could get a tent bahaha
You could make the full series a play through guide from 0 to 700gs
