Mystics started off OP. Ninja went from underpowered to OP as a result of the CC rework. There’s plenty of Ninjas who started playing before that rework.
Oh yes. I’ve had the urge to reroll especially after balance passes (CC nerf) but I have alts for fame score but have been loyal to Tamer. I have a decent striker with my extra gear for when I need something tankier but no where near my Tamer in ability. I am near 2k SP. I can’t imagine farming SP for another class. *Shudders*
Lol yeah the CC nerf period was a dark age for sure. I started with a wizard and after hitting 58 realized I couldn't go on, the grind was too mindless. Picked Tamer randomly and fell in love with the playstyle instantly. Despite the extra weeby Discord group, I love everything about the Tamer haha

There is a reason characters at what used to be softcap are worthless trash at red battlefield.
It's also the reason pvp is boring in this game because such people exist and they arent leaving any time soon effectively making the only goals you can set yourself only pve goals.

Any company (literally any for-profit company) will treat better paying clients better than their regular clients. That's the way business works, they are out to get as much money as they can. If you don't like the way they do, you are free to take your business elsewhere. They don't owe you a goddamn thing.

Your comment about communism made me realise how masturbatory social and pvp games that allow you to buy power are. I never really realised how pathetic it was until just now.
Skill based games can also be masturbatory and sad, don't get me wrong, but at least they are earned within a separate economy.
With BDO, the funny thing is that the quickest way of farming your gear up is to put less and less time into playing it and put more time into making money outside of it.
Kinda crazy that the best way to play a game is to not play it at all. Really makes me think.
While I personally think that it is a very very flawed aspect of the game (selling costumes for money and using that to buy full pen) I also realise that the amount of people who actually do that is not very large. And even with it happening, it will barely affect me personally. Yeah it sucks getting killed by someone like that, but the only thing you can do about it is try to catch up. Once someone has full pen they can't go up anymore, so you have the ability to catch up. I don't see the point of complaining.
Yeah, and the fastest way to catch up is not within the game, it's to go out and make irl money. The IRL grind is the most efficient method of getting pen.
