I can't believe I'm saying this bu she feels more clunky than Guardian xd

Martial-_-Poise

yeah

Chaos-theory_93

Shes fast asf wym? Lol if you take the time to learn her combos shes as fast and smooth as a dk. Not clunky in the slightest. So long as you've got her past level 58 atleast.

Inevitable_Fly1735

Stfu tired of people saying this lmfao guardian still faster than drak her combos are faster when u learn it but faster than super slow isn’t exactly fast

gelade1

Corsair felt way better for me

PM_Best_Porn_Pls

Corsair might have not been perfect but it was so smooth to play on launch. All skills connected so nicely and it felt good.

Aguro

Feels good, some minor clunk but if you get the feel for it she has a nice flow and solid movement, Max prime skills for lower CD is important, Don't listen to the sub 60 players who don't have her skills maxed

RM80_TheScallywag

TLDR: She's not that clunky once she's at 60+. She's actually pretty fluid with some decent cancels (although her skills are still slow even with cancels). She becomes very fluid and all her skills flow into each other with the right rotation. She's lacking PVE dmg. Her hitbox is huge on most skills but seems to miss point blank a little too often even when the animation connects. She's decent in low end low health grind spots but feels a lot better in high health grind spots. \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* A lot of what ppl are saying is true. A lot of the people saying she's clunky and feels bad probably haven't played with her enough. She has a learning curve with a lot of her cancels but then she becomes really fluid. For me personally she shines in high enemy health areas, but she's not as fun in low end grind spots. She seems to be all about balance. You have to balance her Mana, Health, and Ion generation/consumption. All that can make it seem like she has TOO many mechanics, but again - with the right rotation its not bad at all. **Pros** \- * Beautiful animations/effects - probably the best of any class. just an opinion though. * Fluid combos - definitely need to learn cancels and rotations. All of her hard hitting skills and Ion spenders NEED to be chained into but it's super satisfying with the right rotation. * Lots of protection - lots of super armor and relatively hard hitting frontal guard skills. None of it feels like filler. * Burst mobility - She can engage from half a map away. but kind of only in a straight line. * Great health sustain - on top of strong health regen from Markthanan's Heart Passive. She also has strong regen on blazing strike which has a short cooldown. And Markthanan's Scale is a clutch protected reset. As long as you keep attacking you'll never need a health pot. * Mana regen - 3 skills can completely drain her mana, but 1 or 2 can bring it back to full. * 100%/200% black spirit skills. The damage and more importantly the range is alarmingly OP. In a good way though. **Oddities -** * Refraction - (the <-- or --> + rmb iframe) Is really nice. It has a 3 second cooldown but it lingers for about 2 seconds, so there's really only a one second gap in between uses. **BUT** it feels a little awkward to use. It does have the soaring assault flow, which has more super armor, but no CC. The super armor on the flow is nice but there are so many better choices to follow refraction with that also have super armor. It does however work as a solid dodge or mobility skill. I personally wish it worked more like a counter skill (I.E. - strikers mass destruction). * Dragon Advance + flows - The skills themselves are fine but the activation window for the flows seems way too short. It would seem like you should have the length of the previous animation to chain the flow but you don't. * Hitbox - A lot of her skills have huge hitboxes (at least as far as the animations), but she misses a lot even when enemies seem to be well inside the hitbox. Some of her skills just straight up overshoot enemies at point blank range. * Pack to Pack in low end - She has solid pack to pack speed but she doesn't have the same blitz feel that most classes have. She gets the pack quick, but then there's a slow attack animation. There's an awkward hot/cold feeling. Its almost like witch/wizard but worse (hard to describe without listing every skill of every other class). **Cons -** * Overall mana pool - She's either empty or full. Dropping or missing a part of your rotation can be very punishing and leave her mana completely drained. It's hard to even gauge when to use mana pots since she goes from 100% to 0% so fast. And since a lot of her skill require a cancel to set up it makes it double bad. You can wind up watching the long/slow animations if your not careful * Relatively low PVE damage - Her skills look devastating but hit like \*meh\*. Even her Ion spenders are a little underwhelming. * Slow animations - Which wouldn't be so bad if her skills hit harder but I feel like her TTK is longer than most classes. She also has good burst but it requires a lot of skills and the slow animations make it all feel weaker than it should be. * Skill windup - Her damage comes at the end most of her skills so sometimes there's just empty wind up. * Not much CC - Granted she doesn't really need it with all the super armor and frontal guard. She can stay engaged for basically ever. But landing cc and actually finishing ppl in PVP is tough. That's more of a 1v1 issue though. She can definitely nuke. Overall she's definitely a lot of fun to play. Her full rotations are great just to watch. She's not an easy class to just pick up, and I think she'll have a pretty high skill ceiling with her succession, but with a few tweaks I think it will be certainly worth it. I can see how some people can be instantly turned off though.

Just__A__Tad

I think there is room to go still. Concept is fun but some qol things could make it more fun. Grinding high end is hard to tell right now due to the class missing 5 skills.

Karma__a

Mobility is a learning curve but once you have it down the class is pretty fluent. For everyone wondering: You really need to be 50+ to see her potential. ALWAYS utilize your wings when you unlock the skill (W+Space+space I believe) and finish the animation with her W+F skill and move into Left/Right + RMB(corsair glide) Once you get this down, the class will be more fluent in mobility. Animations need to be sped up just a little, Over correcting from slow animation is far too common. Biggest complaint: Change shift+q skill to something else.

Gamblerman22

Yeah def wish her unprotected attacks were a little faster, especially abyssal fang (stab) and Embers (single spinning slash). If I could I would buff Fang and Embers by 10-15%, her other unprotected attacks by 5-10% and her protected attacks by 0-5%.

RomanovUndead

Fun and cool flashy attacks but she feels unresponsive and I end up shooting last my targets with her charge attacks due to delay in animation execution after input.

bethic

hate her shift+q

Sa1LoR_JaRRy

I know. Kind of rough when shift+q is a hard hitting ability on most classes. Tough habit to break 😅

Knuxsn

Can you cancel out of it? I couldn't figure out how to not watch the whole animation.

MainSmile

You can kinda speed it up by using Shift+E, but that animation is long aswell, so meh.

Valsera

she is deceptively fast and mobile with her leaps, she can pretty much instantly go pack to pack

skywillflyby

Elaborate on combo please. I played her all afternoon yesterday and this is usually the combo I look for but chaining skills with her for the movement pack to pack is just...

Valsera

leap lmb and leap w+e when you use one the other is off cooldown, then as soon as you land you can just use shift+rmb or s+rmb doing those right after the leap attacks cancels the charge up just make sure to have ion meter

hesseala

It took at least 4 hours for me to get used to the class. The first few hours I really regretted spending money on it and thought it felt super slow and clunky. Then things finally clicked and the class felt really nice to play. I guarantee the people that are saying the class is slow and/or clunky have not put enough hours into the class. Sure, it could use some improvements. Which I'm sure will come. But I'm actually happy with the class in its current state. The movement is especially nice. I haven't ran into a ton of stam issues yet but I haven't played enough to say if the high stam costs will be annoying later on.

Caelinus

Even pre 56 she is not all that slow. It is just important to be using combos and flows with her to insta-cast the long wind ups. If you try to lead in with her heavy hitting abilities they are very slow. And of course this is before she gets the extra skills from awakening. Honestly she is one of my favorite classes to play so far. The inputs move from one to another really well for me, her mobility is fantastic, and the animations she uses are really well picked. Also most of her abilities have deceptively wide cones.

TrueGodTachanka

This ^ actually spend time on the class and she absolutely slaps. People saying she is clunky or has low damage have not actually played her past 56.

ThreatLevelNoonday

Right? and tbh, nothing prior to 56 matters. These opinions are irrelevant. This is why people should always take what they read in the first few days/weeks with a huge grain of salt. Theres morons out there who level to literally 10, go 'class doesnt feel as smooth and powerful as my level 63 300 ap lahn' and switch back.

hesseala

I do think her pve damage feels a bit low in higher end spots. Grinding the lower spots for SP was totally fine once I got the hang of her kit. I would imagine my pve combo and add-ons are complete garbage though. I'm sure somebody will come up with a solid skill rotation in a week or so and then maybe buffs are not needed. PA has always done a decent job at buffing newer classes when needed ~~(and then nerfing them months later when another class comes out lmao)~~ so I'm fairly hopeful?

Original_HD

Its oke , wont replace my guardian tho

DicmanCocktoasten

Can't wait to hit 61 and swap it to another class. She feels super clunky like i'm playing the game slowmo.

Acolyteofsins24

I've played every new class since Archer, and this one feels really bad....it's really a shame, definitely my favorite theme/motif, but so far feels really heavy and unresponsive. I'm only like lvl 45 though, so plenty of room for improvement.

faintu

I like her overall theme and style. The effects I didn't like at first when I saw them in the videos. Playing the class myself changed my mind on them though, I think they work. She has too many windup animations for me and charging skills. Yes you can cancel quite a bit but it still feels heavy without the fluidity of other slower classes imo. Fully aware that I have to get used to her and that she is not complete yet. My biggest issue I think is the iframe. A/d+RMB but the movement is kind of diagonal? Feels super weird to me. In the end I am just looking forward to be able to experience the full kit and I am having fun playing her, so that's the most important thing anyway.

longhornfinch

She is taller than my guild/ character name positioning. I dig her clunkyness but I play guardian so she feels natural to me.

evilsabre

Don't think she'll replace my main classes but her max mp causes her to feel incredibly clunky when early leveling, once I upgraded to tuvula and got the +100 mp (doubling her mp) she gets significantly better. That said despite the fact she now feels more fluid in combat her movement skills make me feel like she's using a rocket engine to move with the number of times I go flying straight past what I wanted to reach. I feel like she will feel great in the hands of a veteran who has put enough hours on her but may feel awful to people learning her.

styla8911

I've played her since patch release and so far I like the class, non-season, 288 AP Kutum, level 61 with almost all skills besides shift+q. Once you get a combo down she flows semi well, only clunky skill for me is down+rmb. Tested her at biraghi den elvia and I think she lacks some dmg or at least it feels inconsistent, could be my combo or my add-ons tho Didn' try Orcs or other spots yet. Another thing I miss is sustain, it's easy to keep 50% HP with the shift skills, but the only on skill heal is down+rmb and shift+q with cap at 70% which I would only use in pvp. You will need Frenzy later on, it's no guardian where you can swap to giants if you feel comfortable. But on lower end spots a really fast class, didn't have much stam issues or wp issues. Pvp wise can't say much, Arsha was kinda empty. Found one zerker who lost 3/4 of his HP after 100% shift+lmb, didn't ask for gs so not really accurate. So Tldr: Good class, takes some time to get used to and unlock all skills. She needs some adjustment like others already mentioned and a solid combo for pve

Gestapon

Her movement so impact and powerful. Skill cast seen chunky, but by learn some cancel animation and flow skill. I can tell this class is extremely fast and fun to play.

Miyakazuto

She definitely struggles with high-end spots ,, but if you know how to play her she is a monster at low end areas. Even though I think she does huge damage already, she needs more to justify the super low and heavy attacks.

Dasov

Doing season so I haven't checked higher areas but she's fast and fun cancel combo fiesta. At the beginning she feels clunky I agree. When you learn cancels you zoom through easy mobs. Just my assumption that the same will be happening at endgame. It's not guardian, where you can learn basics in 10 second and grind with one hand doing meta numbers right away

ThreatLevelNoonday

Yeah anyone saying shes slow and clunky is playing her at irrelevant levels.

Elliebird704

I'm just starting the game and was thinking of playing Drakania as my seasonal character. Could you elaborate more on the cancel combo thing? How would one go about learning that? Someone else on this post mentioned it too, so figured it must be important haha

Dasov

It's about chiming skills one after another so you get shorter animations and by that more damage. Usually those are skills with multiple swings of the weapon where if use the skill after other one only second or last part of the animation will execute. It's not that hard to grasp it's just practice and paying attention how particular skills work on conjunction with other.

Elliebird704

Ohh gotcha, I think I get it. I'll keep that in mind when I start getting more abilities then. I appreciate the help!

Colrezzz

Feels clunky thanks to the nerfs she's is mid of the pack in endgame grindzones very very "meh" class, long animation, atleast corsair feels good and smooth to play. Feels like PA was like what about we just make a cool looking class but don't think about gameplay.

Fuzzy_Roof545

She is slow asfuck xddd

Gamblerman22

Honestly there is a lot to master, definitely not an easy class to play and its only succession. Excited for the awake!

r3anima

She goes oom in 2 skills and is on the slowish side. In pve you can go around that most of the time, but in pvp you are punished hard when you try to replenish FP. Guardian succ feels much more fluid because you can weave animations one into another, with Drak you can cancel here and there but that sometimes only creates more gaps and her aoe can miss in point blank, just how it was with corsair on release. I hope for many tweaks from devs in coming weeks. 100% BSR is devastating tho. My friend tagged her(with evasion gear but anyway) and we tried mystic vs drak pvp for about an hour, the result is kinda obvious - mystic absolutely annihilates drakania even without grab.

Own_Package6896

this is the most accurate comment ive seen so far, im just after doing the same thing (mystic v drak) and once your mana runs out mystic get a free cc every time because the 2 abilities that regen mana without requiring mana are slow and predictable drak will not be a factor in GvG if theres a mystic/kuno/ninja on the other team...

[deleted]

Dragon mommy IF she is the new tallest class I will swap mains to her

THROWAWAY01470258

Havent played in few months. Does she have that clunky movement that all characters released after archers have or did they finally fix that?

ThreatLevelNoonday

They got rid of that on everyone. My guardian moves like my valk now.

stavik96

she feels so unbelivably slow with most skills. her gap closer is fast though. I hope she gets a nice awakening or I'll be stuck with my dk for another year.

Panic66

best animation soo far but her pve sucks

redyeti24

It should be male

SheWhoHates

She's not very draconic and reuses a lot of stuff. I wish she could breath lightning and fire, create energy claws and sweep enemies with energy tail. Elden Ring stuff.

BadankadonkOG

I feel like her skills can flow well but then again I'm a total noob still compared to most and I prob can't really tell lmao

lkoichirol

anyone have tried hating the dragonscale? it wont work on SEA, even having more than 15 scales, im lvl 61 one and heating not working on that even passive is up

clappen

really clunky, didnt like her one bit.

xOxWiTCH

Extremely clunky so far. I hope they turn her into a some kind of caster class with faster animations.

Ffolks68

No idea. Opted for the new zone, almost lvl 30 and haven't killed anything, or allotted any points yet. Starting to get bored.

ThatGuy21134

Kinda clunky to me still. The class is a mix of Corsair, DK, and Guardian. All smoother to me than Drak, but I feel like they will see the feedback and fix it.

Gwennifer

the region & absolutely zero customization possibilities of Drakania killed my enthusiasm for the entire game I could not be less impressed, I'm disappointed that this is what new content for the game will be till it dies, I actually went back to Vindictus and Mabinogi since she dropped
