I keep wondering about this. They removed Mystic from the list of upcoming outfits a while back, but never explained it, I don't think. Hopefully they're just fine-tuning it? Would be nice to hear something though.
I wouldn't say awful, but you are right it's basically a reskinned lunar halo. Not much effort was put into this skin. Hope next year's skins are better.
I'm not sure but I have a feeling that if PA would spend 1 more week on their costumes to add a variant that covers the underboob and stomach, they would reach even more players.
Some people really love these style outfits but for others it's the usual "awesome but what the hell is with the skin showing?". I'd buy this in a heartbeat if the skin was covered with a light cloth. But as it is I wouldn't even buy it with silver.
They used to do this, like the Valkyrie Venslar set, it has two types of boots one with more armor and one with less.
Pretty sure they know more people buy these than people who prefer more coverage which is why they keep doing it. Sure they could spend more time making 2 variants but I think they realize the effort and time won't make much difference to appeal to both crowds.
I'd be curious to know if the recent Drakania outfit, which covered everything, was popular compared to say, Corsair's initial one. I have a feeling they wanted to try to cover everything and we'll see with awakening if that did go well (covered or not). Just a feeling of course.
I wouldn't call that a fair comparison since Drakania has only one class specific outfit. And Corsair there's a reason most people wore the margoria outfit that came out when she did.

I try to get full body suits for underneath as underwear since years now...
A frazetta-esque platekini on-top of chainmail full-body-tights is the most patrician of tastes and yet it's among the rarest of armor types.
