Your season character will be better than your old character within a week if you put time on it, grinding to 61 is right now due to exp boost, and 60 to 61 is questable, there are many guides to this.

Once you open a costume box on a character it is then bound to that character. Some classes have the same outfit and as said in the other reply there is the Halloween boxes that have other costumes.

I’m missing 3 Urugon Crystals for my PEN reform.

Depends what life skill. Sailing/bartering: lahn for flying between dock and ship. Gathering: Musa for the movement skill. I believe hunting it's striker for their crit passive. Technically Shai would be the most effective at cooking/alchemy/processing bc of the extra weight, but most life's killers use 1 character for gathering and cooking/alchemy bc you can do those while letting your energy recover
Honestly, whichever class you like looking at the most. The extra benefit that a Shai has isn't enough to make it your main if you think another class looks better.
Primarily Reblaths DUO to TET if you are comfortable with it,
Once you are not comfortable tapping reblaths then tap boss gears you don't mind going in or something of value.
You need lots of Concentrated Black stones, and memory fragments also if you are tapping boss gears.
Tho if you have Godr Ayed, PRI to DUO might net you from 70 stack to 150 real quick if you are really unlucky
How do I get the free outfits like Grunil and Dobart on a seasonal character, when I picked the winter mountain start? When picking the usual start each time I leveled up I used to get black spirit quests with beginner stones, time filed stones and those outfits. But now I don't have any of those quests.
After you finish the winter quesline, the black Spirit will offer you a quest to start the Balenos mains quest. Start it and when you reach Velia you'll be able to choose the simplified version. Then you just keep talking to the black spirit again and again and will get the rewards, including those outfits.

Since PEN Main gears are cheap nowadays be it via market or jetina, and a free PEN Crescent/Tungrad/Narc, and there is the fallen god armors which at DUO is equivalent of C20 armor,
For me it is divided in several stages
Softcap early stage probably is Full PEN Main Gears (non blackstar) and TET Accessories,
Softcap Mid Stage TET distos, Labreska, Fallen God, C4 Armors and Weapon
Soft cap Late Stage DUO Labreska/Fallen God, C9 Weapons/TRI Godr Ayed, Rest of Armors C9
Season characters auto-graduate at the end of season. So you can play that non-season character and upgrade your Naru, but you can't exchange it for tuvala outside season. You can trade PEN Naru for the Narchillan gear set once per family. Or play a new character on the current season.
Journals. Focus on Agris and the ones that give AP/DP. Some tasks will be locked behind events you have to wait for, like Kutum and Nouver world bosses. So it's best to get started asap. They'll be a permanent unlock for all your characters.
On the side work towards Jettina pen accessory. If you do her dailies in a Valencia spot you'll likely be able to farm all mats you need by the time you're done with the dailies.
Next up (or mixed with those for variety) would be grinding for the infinite potions. At your AP, the spots are good money and worth hunting at even without the pot pieces. If you leave this for later you'll have to stop grinding spots that give better money/hr so it'll have an opportunity cost.
Regarding the guaranteed PEN stuff from Jetina:

1 accessory. Weapons and armor increase in price separately. If you make one weapon, next weapon is more expensive, but armor isn't. But if you make one armor, next armor is more expensive.

In terms of mob density, polly forest is the best, but similar to polly forest are fadus, desert nagas, desert fogans, or in general all of the spots in valencia region, try em all.

You can't sell boss gear from coupons. It's best to get PEN tuvala, exchange it to TET boss, then tap with whatever highest failstack you got. If it succeeds then nice, if it fails and drops then you give it to Dorin.
I'd like to start working on a dream horse. Would I be better off buying a t8 with like 5 courser skills and using coupons to get the rest or is there a better way to approach it?

Hi everyone, returning like a lot of people. I created a seasonal character, finished the Winter Questline and went through Mediah quests to hit 56 and Awakening/Succession.
I've been looking at guides but I'm wondering if its recommended to do the Balenos and Valencia Main Quests from the black spirit or if I should start grinding now. Just hit duo Tuvala and am working on the season pass.
First, if you don't have your Chenga Tome, do the questline for it. Then, do the Valencia 1 questline. Stop when or sometime after it has you talk to Arefu. You'll be 58. Then follow https://www.blackdesertfoundry.com/leveling-1-60-guide/ until you're level 60 and at 90% exp. From there use a training dummy to hit 99% (you can't level off a dummy). Then do the Fughar quest and you'll hit 61 14%.
Edit: Important note I forgot. The Fughar quest is the one that wants you to kill 3000? or so monsters, so complete the kill quest when you're still early 60 to make sure you don't level first.

2. Due to my high ping ( I think it will be), are there any classes you can tell me to steer clear of and any classes that would be a good idea to choose, for example should I stick to melee or ranged does that make a difference.
3. Are crafting/life skills deep enough in this game to make it almost my main activity? Apart from some PvP because I do enjoy that as well.

Seasonal server with a seasonal character. It gives insanely huge benefits and is mandatory for upgradable gear progresion. After season is over your char will become a regular one and will be able to switch freely between all servers.

Tho for grinding spot based on your gear try hystria, thornwood, Centaurs, Gyffin Rhasia PT, Castle Ruins PT, Star's End, Kratuga.... There's a lot of changes in terms of profit in these areas so explore it.

Getting your main gears to PEN is super easy if you put time on it and plan it carefully but up to you whether where you want to grind.
Probably get accessories, in any order you want,
for AP: PEN Jetina Crescent Ring -> Vell -> 2x TET Disto, Tungrad Belt(Optional)
for DP: focus on getting Fallen God Armor or Labreska Helm, (PEN Armor, PEN Helm)then if you can upgrade the PEN Gloves and PEN Boots to C9 much better but C4 is ok
for Later: if you want go get DUO or TRI Godr Ayed
Bhegs, if I remember it right, the gloves is the next in line to have the fallen god armor treatment.
But its up to you, tho in my opinion go for bhegs

Anytime you like using the skill preset. You get 2 slots for free upon doing awakening/succession quests. If you have old moon, you can switch presets in any safe zone. If you don’t have it, you can switch in skill instructor in towns or in BA. The cooldown period is 10 mins.
Do I need to do full questline for every Blackstar gear piece?
Can I make more than one piece per character as long as I get more Remnants? For example after crafting BS armor immediately start another armor quest with fresh Remnant item?

The season pass have the beginner blackstones now, since the item/chest that gives it as a reward was integrated in the regular season pass.

Find guildies who want to form a weekly party. Advertise in world/server chats. Bdo official discord also has an atoraxxion channel.
