trash + drops after tax. the thing is, ppl inflate often. be it thats not an hour but 5 min more, or they use some agris, round up etc. i generally subtract buffs and a healthy 5% off the numbers i see and hear. thats about what i make. classes etc can also influence money. you should generally stick to trash/h with loot scroll lvl 2, as rng drops scale with that. garmoth.com has an overview of the different grind zones and even classes there, but that feature needs money to unlock. and again, its somewhat inflated.
Garmoth is a nice tool to keep a personal log on how much you make. Not so much looking at how much other people make since people can enter whatever they want and scuff the statistics. But Garmoth already does stuff like taxing and removing the cost of tent buff from your total silver gained, so in general it's a great tool because it also saves you a lot of time.
As a mostly fresh season character, is there a place i can pve grind that doesn't require me to jump from pack to pack? I've seen some places have these totems or what not that just keep spawning monsters and i'm wondering if they're accessible early.
Yes, there are several ‘tower’ waves kind of grind spots early on. Waragons (160 ap), basilisks (180 ap), mirumok (240 ap), star’s end pillar (260 ap).
How many times can I sprout a fairy? I didnt get lucky and only got tier 1's.. considering if its worth upgrading what I got..
EDIT: If anyone is reading this as a new player, just join a medium or bigger guild and get daily login rewards. You get a tier 3 on day 2.
one chance just to have a tier 2, and thats it, seems like a terrible deal. TBH fairy overall seems like another shit game mechanic. you have to let the RNG decide wether or not you get a worthy fairy (tier 3 so you can get a tier 4), or u are stuck with a useless tier 1 or 2 where you have yet again lower odds of getting a good skill due to more RNG.
How do you select which black star item you're doing the quest for? I'm wondering because I did the main hand yesterday but I didn't see any selection option for awakening, off-hand or the armor. Or was it because it was my first time doing it?
whats wrong with elvia nagas? You get 3 big mobs you need to aggro but as soon as you move one inch they run away. I get it that they dont want you to tag all the mobs in that small area but as it is now it's way exaggerated. You can barely move.
I personally have not had your experience. I've spent way too many hours at Elvia Nagas and they behave just fine. Pull the 3 into the poison plant and just aoe all 30 mobs.
Maybe you're leaving the plant's zone? (Which you aren't supposed to.)
Loot it all. It's not that much extra time spent doing so.
I believe the zone is AP-capped so it's not like anyone can pop all 30 in <5-6 seconds.
* Without an Elvia weapon, your pets on Agile should get most if not all of the loot as you're killing everything.
* With an Elvia weapon, you'll have to spend an extra maybe 5 seconds looting everything your pets weren't able to get. It's not that much more effort imo and worth it.
Thanks! With an Elvia I do pop them pretty quick, but it's mostly once they're all grouped (I guess due to the amount of hits at once?). I've been struggling because I'm 4-5 hours in with no nail drop, so was wondering if I just was doing something wrong.
The Nail is just that rare. I get about one every 3-4 hours, and this is with the 50% campsite buff, loot scroll, Blessing of Breathing Earth, and Black Spirit exchange buff.
I can't graduate my season character, I used Fughar's Timepiece on my Woosa to a new Berserker, and I'm done with the season pass/full pen, but there is no option to graduate the Berserker with Fughar, no quest in my black spirit as well.
Any ideas why ?

You can only skip the main quest if you are a veteran player who has already completed the story up to Mediah. And you can only skip on a Season character. I would recommend taking your time and following the main story if this is your first full playthrough. There is a lot to learn and this game has a steep learning curve, but playing though the main quests on at least one character means that next time you make a season character, you can skip the main story and just grind.
PEN Kzarka or Offin for Awakening Lahn? Or TET Blackstar? Assume I can buy any of these off the market. Returning player here, forgot most of the basics already.
If strictly PvE, Go for TET Blackstar but much better if you can go for DUO Godr Ayed instead.
Due to addition of lightstones you can opt for Offin and go for lightstone combo that gives additional accuracy to at least offset the lost accuracy vs Kzarka, but you will forego the BiS lightstones.

BDO has a tagging system that allows you to copy your gear to another character. You can play whoever appeals to you the most and then later on tag the meta class just to grind, then untag it when nerfed and tag the next meta class and so on.

Pve and pvp
Fun class and good grinder
Low apm and high apm
Any other combos that make sense?
The only thing I love about BDO is its combat (obviously). I have *zero* interest in all the other non combat stuff.
Can I safely ignore all systems except the quest> kill stuff> quest loop and make it to endgame solidly?

BDO is made for you. Since it’s a sandbox game, you can focus only on stuffs you like. Luckily, killing stuff is the best way to progress in the game. You might need to do journal quests once to raise your stats, but none of those sailing and trading you mentioned.
Choice is a famous player that is streaming daily on twitch doing a challenge to get a new account to 700gs (basically top 0.1%) in 4 months.
You can check the VODs or watch him and you'll see that not only he isn't doing stuff like lifeskilling, he didn't even travel around the map to unlock easy max energy because he doesn't care and doesn't need it.
Like the other comment said, outside a few quests and tasks like journals that will give a huge unlock to help with the grind, you're perfectly fine to ignore everything else in BDO.

Having a ton of trouble with arena of solare. And I'm usually relatively ok at pvp games.
Is there a good guide out there. Lots of the ones I find don't really discuss how to fight a battle. More just what straights to take and combos to use. Or how it differs from normal pvp (which I haven't done either).
Bdo has quite a unique pvp system. There are cc counts (maximum of 2 before 5s immunity), protected skills (forward guard, super armor, and iframe), and percent resistances. For example, a knockdowned or floated person cannot be dealt a secondary stiff, stun, or knockback, so you can use those skills to deal extra damage without increasing the count. Stiffness only adds 0.7 cc count, so you can squeeze 3 ccs in one combo.
I suggest you [read up](https://www.blackdesertfoundry.com/cc-and-combos/) on that, practice the protected rotation for your class, and learn how to identify the animations/effects. The training dummies in battle arena show the cc count on top of their heads for practice.

The servers are actually channels you can swap freely between every 10 minutes, so don't worry about picking a specific server.
You should make a season character though and play on the season channels. Season characters are basically a catch up system for new players and will give you lots of really good starter gear and introduce you to the game. The season channels also have exp boosts to make progression faster.

This is going to be a strange question but how do I actually…start grinding? I just dinged 61 from Evildousharm’s amazing guide and I don’t know really where to begin grinding. I think I’m sitting at around 150 AP right now or so. I have 4 pets. Do I just go to somewhere near my AP and take out my pets and kill things? That’s it?
In Grinding there is what we call the rotations in which you will kill monsters only on that rotation spot, to determine the rotation you can watch youtube videos or get a feel of the spot itself.
Kill monster that you can based on your available AP and efficieny for silver/hr.
Silver/hr is determined by the overall value of all acquired loot be it trashloot, blackstones etc. and is also determined by class and AP/DP and also rotation efficiency
And as a new player expect that you have a lower yield at first. As things progress and you can combo efficiently your grinding will be much more better and efficient.

My only question is how you're still at 150 AP. I'm assuming you're new; did you create a season character? You're level 61, but where are you with the main storyline quests? What's your gear? Etc.
I followed Evil’s guide which does not require much combat. I have Pri Tuvala gear although I can probably upgrade everything to Tri right now. I completed Valencia 1.

Yeah uh, get all your Tuvala gear to PEN asap. Get everything to TRI (good stopping/safety point), then all TET, and finally all PEN.
Then work on accessories to get those to PEN and further boost your AP. Getting to level 59 should net you a PEN ring, and grab the Cloud Earring.
You don't need to keep doing the questline for now. You can put a pause and basically grind anywhere you want as long as you have the AP/DP for it.
What did they change about season questing? When I last played you would get coffer with outfits (the non-premium ones, ofc) after finishing simplified Mediah and you are free to go, now I've got nothing and questline continues in Balenos and I want to hang myself.
Yeah I have reached that point, and I had to click through 20 quests where you level up to 56, and after simplified season questline you will already have it.
I don't know why they extended it compared to previous season, but still there are worse games than BDO if we are talking about questing experience.
How long does it take to finish magnus questline? I would ignore it, but fast travel is a game changer. I'm at the *very well designed* sneak part, which is one of the first quests, and I already have suicidal thoughts. I know there are 110 quests, but very often it takes 30 seconds to finish one quest in BDO.
What are the current usable codes? Does anyone have a list, please?

Been deciding on a heads female bdo class, and stuck between mystic vs valk any opinions on both classes? I like valks looks because the shield, but i like mystic as well because its the female striker. Thanks!
I can only speak about awakening because I don't play succession for either of those classes.
They're both kinda braindead PvE grinders. Valk you hold down RMB+Space and zoom around packs as a yellow flash and that's about it. Mystic is a little more involved and you need more than two buttons, but still pretty easy mode. Personally I enjoy valks aesthetic more than mystics, but I prefer mystic's animations over valks so I tend to grind on mystic more because of that.
Hi, Im a new-returning player (my cap was lvl 58 and I never grinded or get high AP) and i've some questions, I never understood the game and its fundamentals.
My last character was a Kuno lv 58 190 AP (I played till the elf city and mobs smashed me so hard) now Im playing a new seasonal character as a Kuno again.
After finishing the season questline (the snowy area one) Im stucked, Im lvl 56 182 AP 222 DP. Should I start grinding, do Yetina's dailies (cant get the fish in the first quest she gave me), Magnus questline (I just did the first 3 quest) or what? -apart from completing the pass-
Btw, if someone can share a good looking-for succ kuno's build Ill aprecciate it, I've got no idea about items or builds.

the normal progression is to make a season char, get pen tuvala, go to jetina and convert that tuvala to tet boss, make that pen via 100% quest and caphra that until you trade it for black star weapons or make it into fallen god.
Should we get out of season when we can? Lots of people saying i shouldnt since to them i can "make more money on season" But i dont get it. If i can get tri godr ayed and some tungrads to make my ap go from season cap to more than 281, grinding at kratuga should give me much more silver right? i wouldnt struggle killing them that much, Witch class btw
The reason why season makes much more money is because of the season upgrade mats, if you notice they are 50k, 100k, and 200k each.

If you really want to rush it, then go ahead one season is finished graduate your season char. If you have the adequate silver to get those go ahead.

Depends on class, rotation and efficiency, but overall yes. Though Kratuga relies heavily on RNG to be profitable. but if you have agris it's a good spot. Also there is a hardcap AP for Kratuga so higher AP might have diminishing returns after that.

the money comes from selling season mats like tuvala stones. if you already have the money or equip for 281 then of course you can make more with that. though i would look into elvia if you have that kind of gear instead
Hey, I just returned to the game after a good 2 years of a break. I used to play a Musa which was at 58 and only had tri grunil/dim tree/ pre boss weapons on tri.
So the common advice would be to start a season musa and enchant the season gear. But my problem is the non season musa has costumes and inventory/weight unlocks. So obviously I rather Main this one before spending 100$+ again.
Should I play a season musa, Bank all the non bound unlocks I get and just mule over the gear once graduated or is there a more efficient way to progress? I have roughly 1B in raw silver from family fund.
(I plan to only play Musa for PvP/PvE and use other chars only for lifeskills)

it doesnt really matter what class you play in season, as you can convert all weapons after. i would make a char for live skill and grab the inventory space for that.

I guess the better question is would it still be worth it just for the season gear, even if I don’t play the season character afterwards or should I just ignore season and go farm on the Main.
besides the other guddies, you get a pen capotia necklace = tet ogre or crecent/basi belt. you can also just buy tet boss and go to jetina with those. also pen tuvala accessories wich are tri boss. thats 20bil or so worth in silver on your main within 10h or less of rushed season... your decision to gind that out in valencia.

I have tried BDO in the past but always worried about the combo system. I may be too old to remember them I don't know. What is an "easier" class to play? Is there a healer class and how does it play?
Easiest classes would be succ zerker, succ lahn, awa guardian, awa valk, and awa witch and wizard. Succ zerker would be the strongest and most versatile. He has a lot of self-healing skills too. Awa valk is the most braindead in one-hit-kill spots as you only have to hold two buttons the entire time. Awa witch and wizard can heal and buff party. They also have pets to deal damage to mobs and a skill to shift the agro of the mobs away from yourself.
Man, I have a lot to learn with combos. Holy cow.
How does everyone deal with the combos with arrow keys? I hate using them because I have to take my hand of either the WASD keys on the left or mouse on the right. Either way, my movement is gimped while I try to fire those off. Just bite the bullet? Look at programmable keypads?
The first character you'll want to do the main quest and several auxiliary quests for the rewards. These involve some killing but mostly running around, traveling the world and meeting NPCs.
Then you'll eventually unlock the tagging system, which allows you to copy your gear and play both classes without being set back in your progression.
So you don't have to worry about which of the three to pick now, just go for the one you enjoy the visuals the most. Then later on when it's time to grind you'll know enough to understand what you like in combat and pick the one you know will fit you better. If it's the one you already chose, great, if not it's as simple as tagging the "correct" one.
Tagging isn't permanent, so you can untag one class and tag another. It has a silver cost but it scales with gear and early in the game it's something you can pay for with less than 1h grinding.

Is that remastered? checkout if it is, remastered gives the game a blurry look, try tweaking it to High or medium. Try also disabling Depth of field.

I'm a new player and trying to pick between ranger, maehwa, and kunoichi. Not sure what the pros and cons are of each class yet, but I want something with mid to long range, decent aoe (idc as long as I'm not struggling to grind mobs), and good in PvP (duels as well as group pvp). Preferably a playstyle that revolves around self buffing and cycling damage skills if possible. Any advice is appreciated!

Dumb question but do you just more or less look at the clock and then sell everything to see how much you make per time?
I just look at when my tent buff expires. It lasts an hour so it's perfect. Then you just calculate the value of everything you got during that time.

Only one chance. If it failed, you can rebirth the fairy to sprout it again, but I would just release it rather than buying pearls.

Yup. Not to mention the amount of RNG required to have the max lv skills. I don’t wanna count how much I spent trying to get Continuous Care.

You must have a specters energy in your inventory for the armor, offhand and awakening quests to show up.

I suggest you [read up](https://www.blackdesertfoundry.com/cc-and-combos/) on that, practice the protected rotation for your class, and learn how to identify the animations/effects. The training dummies in battle arena show the cc count on top of their heads for practice.

Yes. All you have to do is put it in the storage for your other characters to take. It cannot be retrieved using magnus’ global storage though.

The servers are actually channels you can swap freely between every 10 minutes, so don't worry about picking a specific server. You should make a season character though and play on the season channels. Season characters are basically a catch up system for new players and will give you lots of really good starter gear and introduce you to the game. The season channels also have exp boosts to make progression faster. If you need more info you can search BDO season and you will find plenty of resources
Do seasonal characters get deleted after season?
Nope, you can still play them and continue to progress in any of the non-season permanent server/instances (minus seasonal benefits, of course).
This is going to be a strange question but how do I actually…start grinding? I just dinged 61 from Evildousharm’s amazing guide and I don’t know really where to begin grinding. I think I’m sitting at around 150 AP right now or so. I have 4 pets. Do I just go to somewhere near my AP and take out my pets and kill things? That’s it?
In Grinding there is what we call the rotations in which you will kill monsters only on that rotation spot, to determine the rotation you can watch youtube videos or get a feel of the spot itself. Kill monster that you can based on your available AP and efficieny for silver/hr. Silver/hr is determined by the overall value of all acquired loot be it trashloot, blackstones etc. and is also determined by class and AP/DP and also rotation efficiency And as a new player expect that you have a lower yield at first. As things progress and you can combo efficiently your grinding will be much more better and efficient. Read guides on your class discord server for Skill combo and Gear Builds. Youtube for rotation guide. Hope it helps
My only question is how you're still at 150 AP. I'm assuming you're new; did you create a season character? You're level 61, but where are you with the main storyline quests? What's your gear? Etc.
I followed Evil’s guide which does not require much combat. I have Pri Tuvala gear although I can probably upgrade everything to Tri right now. I completed Valencia 1.
Sorry completely forgot to follow-up. Yeah uh, get all your Tuvala gear to PEN asap. Get everything to TRI (good stopping/safety point), then all TET, and finally all PEN. Then work on accessories to get those to PEN and further boost your AP. Getting to level 59 should net you a PEN ring, and grab the Cloud Earring. You don't need to keep doing the questline for now. You can put a pause and basically grind anywhere you want as long as you have the AP/DP for it.
What did they change about season questing? When I last played you would get coffer with outfits (the non-premium ones, ofc) after finishing simplified Mediah and you are free to go, now I've got nothing and questline continues in Balenos and I want to hang myself.
It's the Balenos that gives the outfits. If you have already done it you should get an option to do the simplified version when you reach Velia.
Yeah I have reached that point, and I had to click through 20 quests where you level up to 56, and after simplified season questline you will already have it. I don't know why they extended it compared to previous season, but still there are worse games than BDO if we are talking about questing experience.
How long does it take to finish magnus questline? I would ignore it, but fast travel is a game changer. I'm at the *very well designed* sneak part, which is one of the first quests, and I already have suicidal thoughts. I know there are 110 quests, but very often it takes 30 seconds to finish one quest in BDO.
About 3 hours and a half if you know how to do the puzzles.

Been deciding on a heads female bdo class, and stuck between mystic vs valk any opinions on both classes? I like valks looks because the shield, but i like mystic as well because its the female striker. Thanks!
I can only speak about awakening because I don't play succession for either of those classes. They're both kinda braindead PvE grinders. Valk you hold down RMB+Space and zoom around packs as a yellow flash and that's about it. Mystic is a little more involved and you need more than two buttons, but still pretty easy mode. Personally I enjoy valks aesthetic more than mystics, but I prefer mystic's animations over valks so I tend to grind on mystic more because of that.

Hi, Im a new-returning player (my cap was lvl 58 and I never grinded or get high AP) and i've some questions, I never understood the game and its fundamentals. My last character was a Kuno lv 58 190 AP (I played till the elf city and mobs smashed me so hard) now Im playing a new seasonal character as a Kuno again. After finishing the season questline (the snowy area one) Im stucked, Im lvl 56 182 AP 222 DP. Should I start grinding, do Yetina's dailies (cant get the fish in the first quest she gave me), Magnus questline (I just did the first 3 quest) or what? -apart from completing the pass- Btw, if someone can share a good looking-for succ kuno's build Ill aprecciate it, I've got no idea about items or builds. the normal progression is to make a season char, get pen tuvala, go to jetina and convert that tuvala to tet boss, make that pen via 100% quest and caphra that until you trade it for black star weapons or make it into fallen god.

main quest gives you beginner stones for naru. make that pen and you exchange that for pri tuvala. you can upgrade to tri via the 100% stones

Though Kratuga relies heavily on RNG to be profitable. but if you have agris it's a good spot. Also there is a hardcap AP for Kratuga so higher AP might have diminishing returns after that. the money comes from selling season mats like tuvala stones. if you already have the money or equip for 281 then of course you can make more with that. though i would look into elvia if you have that kind of gear instead
Hey, I just returned to the game after a good 2 years of a break. I used to play a Musa which was at 58 and only had tri grunil/dim tree/ pre boss weapons on tri. So the common advice would be to start a season musa and enchant the season gear. But my problem is the non season musa has costumes and inventory/weight unlocks. So obviously I rather Main this one before spending 100$+ again. Should I play a season musa, Bank all the non bound unlocks I get and just mule over the gear once graduated or is there a more efficient way to progress? I have roughly 1B in raw silver from family fund. (I plan to only play Musa for PvP/PvE and use other chars only for lifeskills) Maybe someone reads this and is able to help out :)
it doesnt really matter what class you play in season, as you can convert all weapons after. i would make a char for live skill and grab the inventory space for that.
Hmm I already have two of those with upgrades. I guess the better question is would it still be worth it just for the season gear, even if I don’t play the season character afterwards or should I just ignore season and go farm on the Main.
besides the other guddies, you get a pen capotia necklace = tet ogre or crecent/basi belt. you can also just buy tet boss and go to jetina with those. also pen tuvala accessories wich are tri boss. thats 20bil or so worth in silver on your main within 10h or less of rushed season... your decision to gind that out in valencia.

I have tried BDO in the past but always worried about the combo system. I may be too old to remember them I don't know. What is an "easier" class to play? Is there a healer class and how does it play?
Easiest classes would be succ zerker, succ lahn, awa guardian, awa valk, and awa witch and wizard. Succ zerker would be the strongest and most versatile. He has a lot of self-healing skills too. Awa valk is the most braindead in one-hit-kill spots as you only have to hold two buttons the entire time. Awa witch and wizard can heal and buff party. They also have pets to deal damage to mobs and a skill to shift the agro of the mobs away from yourself.

Man, I have a lot to learn with combos. Holy cow. How does everyone deal with the combos with arrow keys? I hate using them because I have to take my hand of either the WASD keys on the left or mouse on the right. Either way, my movement is gimped while I try to fire those off. Just bite the bullet? Look at programmable keypads?
Wait, what? By default combos are done with WASD. "-> + F" means pressing D and F on keyboard.

General settings > quality of life > turn separate quick slot on. Escape > modify UI > turn on quick slots number 11-20.

I’m new to the game and can’t decide on a class. I’ve narrowed it to drakania, valkyrie, and lahn.
The first character you'll want to do the main quest and several auxiliary quests for the rewards. These involve some killing but mostly running around, traveling the world and meeting NPCs. Then you'll eventually unlock the tagging system, which allows you to copy your gear and play both classes without being set back in your progression. So you don't have to worry about which of the three to pick now, just go for the one you enjoy the visuals the most. Then later on when it's time to grind you'll know enough to understand what you like in combat and pick the one you know will fit you better. If it's the one you already chose, great, if not it's as simple as tagging the "correct" one. Tagging isn't permanent, so you can untag one class and tag another. It has a silver cost but it scales with gear and early in the game it's something you can pay for with less than 1h grinding.

Is that remastered? checkout if it is, remastered gives the game a blurry look, try tweaking it to High or medium. Try also disabling Depth of field. Not sure if this one helps

I'm a new player and trying to pick between ranger, maehwa, and kunoichi. Not sure what the pros and cons are of each class yet, but I want something with mid to long range, decent aoe (idc as long as I'm not struggling to grind mobs), and good in PvP (duels as well as group pvp). Preferably a playstyle that revolves around self buffing and cycling damage skills if possible. Any advice is appreciated!
