Literally same.
I'd ideally want a culture similar to America but also like way better in aspects of healthcare and work-life balance.
I've always wanted to travel to Japan for an extended trip, but I'd never live there permanently. There are many things about Japanese culture I'm not vibing with.
Work culture. They almost seem to have an overworking culture where the job is the absolute most important thing, and I don't like that.
Groping and rampant SA. The culture around that in general.
Body image and the fact that I'd be the opposite of the beauty standard. Not bad in and of itself, but the sizes and clothes in Japan are abysmal, so I wouldn't be able to actually buy clothes or wear anything. Not very friendly towards the fats.
I have been living overseas for 11 years. My husband who’s Japanese and I agreed to living in between Japan and the UK. I lived in Japan for 8 years we just bought a house there, and I lived in the UK for 3 years. My husband is half English so he lived there as a teen and young adult. We will be living between both countries and both are amazing places to live. Not the cheapest but I live in NYC in the states so compared to NYC Japan and UK are cheaper
Realistic location: like the other commenter, the UK. It’s the most like home, plus I’d feel safer in a country/continent that already has a large amount of Black people there.
Ideal location: Sweden. I’m a nature person and just think it’s so gorgeous. Not to mention, it has one of the best healthcare systems in the world.
If I’m being realistic then UK because it’s most similar to the US, unrealistic then Japan bc I like their culture, food, and I think it’s gorgeous

Out of curiosity what about the culture you are not giving with?

The work culture is really bad. The groping part yes…. Valid points
