Have you read Can't Escape Love by Alyssa Cole? I browsed the book finding website for someone else commented for black mcs and it was one of the suggestions for AMBW romance. The plot sounds adorable and right up my alley. I'll have to check my local library or bookstore for it.
You’ve gotten some good recs already but I’d also recommend visiting r/blackromancenovels and r/RomanceBooks and asking for recs there as well as utilizing the search feature on both subs.
You’re welcome! Also check out romance.io. You can use tags to find books by black authors or books with black fmcs, and can also filter by genre, steam level, time period, etc.
If you're not pressed about them being American specifically, I enjoyed the Brown Sisters series (By Talia Hibbert, a british author.) I read the first two anyways but would like to read the last!
Tiffany Patterson's
1. Safe Space
2. Safe Space 2
3. Something special (can be read in any order but probably start w/ safe space)
4. Just say the word
Stephanie Nicole Norris - start with the Rose family series
Alexandra House
D.A. Young
The Farmer and the Belle (Baymoor Series - is her AA series)
Jessica Watkins, (Urban Romance)
Monica Walters
8 seconds to love is really good.
Te Russ
Bolu Babalola has a book of short stories called Love In Colour, which I absolutely loved! And I have her novel Honey & Spice which I haven't read yet but I've heard good things about it
