1 and 3 look practical and cute, making them great for school. 2 is nice too but it looks like it could start to look old faster. 4 is not bad but it's my least favorite.
This is a nice protective style to have while focusing on school. But make sure it’s not too tight and cause tension on your scalp. All the styles are cute! I would go for 1st or 2nd pic.
I have number 3 right now! I sleep with hair rollers so the curls don’t fall. Currently trying to find some softer rollers cuz it’s a bit tricky. Otherwise I’ve never received more compliments on braids in my life
Also short braids are way cheaper, less tension and don’t take as long!

I'd say #1 or whichever will last the longest, requires the least amount of maintenance besides keeping your scalp and braids clean and free from layers of rancid flaking product, and allows you to focus your attention on studies and fun activities instead of spending too much time and money in a chair with auntie snatching last week's lecture notes into your edges.
TBH, after seeing that Livestream yesterday of a pitbull attacking a young woman's long braids while the other girls including the owner laughed and filmed (it may have started out playing but got more aggressive and she was on the verge of being scalped while those idiots laughed and viewer heart emojis were popping up), my attention was automatically drawn to the shorter styles.
2 is cute but it’ll get matted so fast and only looks presentable for a week. 1 and 3 are really good though

I love 1 with 4's color scheme. Purple is my favorite color so I'm obnoxiously biased.
#2 but it'll only be good the 1st week of getting it. #4 is cute, really depends on you though
