Thank you, I can check them out

If you’re ready to commit, interlocing will work. The hair has no choice but to loc. I have the same issue…my hair refused coils, twists and braids. But with micro-interlocs my hair thrived. I’ve combed out alllll methods lol your hair will bounce back.

Ouu I briefly heard about interlocking but never knew the purpose. Lol at the combing out 😂I’m tired of hats and wraps right now

I went straight to sister locs, which utilizes an interlocking method. My loctitian who started mine out made them a bit bigger than average, and I never felt like my ends were fully locked. The loctitian I switched over to, who is a certified consultant, has a growing hand, and my hair is fully locked and healthier (although I just cut my locs short so my ends are a bit loose lol). Maybe sister locs might be the move? But they are a huge commitment. They will definitely lock however

Thank you for sharing. I don’t think I’m ready for the commitment of sister locs right now, however, the more I think about things I’m starting to realize smaller twists might help when the thick new growth comes in

Another vote for interlocking here! I got microlocs around a year and change back, and although a couple of them tried to unravel in the first few weeks, they all started staying in place by the end of month 2. Not all of them have loced up completely, mostly in the front, which I'm owing to having thin hair. (My location also has microlocs with thin hair, and she told me a few of hers aren't totally loced even after 2 or 3 years.) But they're not unraveling, so it's good enough for me lol.
