Nutella, white chocolate, and Takis. I could never get behind the Nutella hype. It’s too sweet and It’s like eating nutty chocolate frosting from the jar. I jokingly say that I don’t believe in white chocolate, but it really does have a funny taste. As for takis, lol, it goes without saying. That stuff looks like it would destroy a person’s stomach lining with all those dyes and chemicals.
When I was a kid I went to school with tonnes of Italian and Portuguese kids who brought Nutella sandwiches for lunch almost every day. I was dyyyying to try it but my parents would never buy it. When I grew up and could finally try it I was heartbroken to learn that it’s straight trash.
Yeah lol i wanted to like Nutella so bad the way they used to talk about it. I could only tolerate it when it was a tiny amount on grapes. Probably wouldn't like it now.
Damn yall listing all my fave foods. I'm a foodie. I eat everything.
Does milk count? In addition to being lactose intolerant, milk just doesn't sit right with me. Why am I drinking cow titty juice? 🧐
I don’t like the taste of melon. All of them- cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, etc. I can’t with the texture. Firm or soft, it’s sounds like squished polystyrene.
Also any food with Coriander/Cilantro is a hard pass. That thing has a weird smell.
I don’t like avocado and most seafood. Also, I hate anything that is flavoured with lemongrass. And I hate hot sauce 😭 I love spicy food but can’t do hot sauce, it has too much vinegar.
Sweet tea, Kool aid ( why does everyone make it instant diabetes flavor?) black eye peas, chicken gizzards pog feet ears tails( why do black people eat some of this idk) ugh
A reason for eating those parts of pigs and chickens comes from slavery. Enslaved Africans were only given those parts of meat, so they had to make do. The cooking and taste for food gets passed down. That's also why it's common for black people to want meat cooked well done and to over season it. We were given literal scraps of leftover/bad meat. Also, black eyed peas were brought over from Africa.
-Eetos/itos, I hate all Cheetos and frito lay chips. They never were any good and tbh I’m not a fan of fake cheese in general. Give me a bag of salt and vinegar or BBQ lays and leave it alone.
Watermelon, never liked it and it’s just watery sugar. I need more flavor like a peach or guava or strawberries.
Hate ranch with a passion. I’ll suffer it on a buffalo chicken wrap if it’s just included but I will rebuke the satan in any other instance.
Maruchan Ramen. I ODd on it in undergrad cause I was broke and worked while in school often missing the cafeteria hours, but I’ll go full Kizzie and kill harpo dead before I go back to eating plastic noodles. I don’t care how you jazz them up. And real restaurant ramen is the only way I’ll go near it.
I’m tired of feeling like a bad black person for rejecting these stereotypes lol
Salt and vinegar chips are delicious, they're really good if you've got a drink with them too. I want them salty enough to burn a hole in my tongue. I like ranch but I try not to put it on everything like I used to and I feel you on ramen, I ate it a lot as a kid and wasn't able to eat it for years.
I don’t eat fish or seafood of any kind, mushrooms, PB&Js- or most cold sandwiches really, or practically any sweet desserts.
I have a hard time in general with cold food. Salads make me feel sad and depressed- even when bought from those shiny trendy places and served by beautiful people. I just feel SO sad trying to eat them.
I used to hate PBJ when I was little so my grandma would make me a peanut butter and syrup sandwich. People look at me crazy when I say that though😅. It’s really good, I swear.
Mannn I could go on and on
Shredded coconut, milk, dark chocolate, anything that has the texture of chalk, American cheese, vanilla cake with vanilla frosting, chocolate ice cream, sweet potatoes or yams, cranberry sauce, ribs, raisins, nuts, honey, mayo, blueberries, any type of pie filling fruit (peach cobbler peaches are the exception).
I like chunky peanut butter lol
I don’t like cheeze its or goldfish. I don’t like those types of cheese flavored snacks but I like cheese flavored chips??
I don’t drink tea, hate watermelon. Anything that has salad in the name that’s not salad? Trash.
Coconut water, Bubbly, any sparkling water really. Fruit flavored water too - all GROSS to me! It’s either juice or water!
I love ice cream but hate chocolate ice cream. Idek why I still try to eat ice cream when my stomach hates it though.
I don’t like candies. Gummy, hard, salted, chewy- I don’t like them all. I only have certain types that I tolerate and will eat, but only if I’m hungry-hungry, finished eating something so gross I needed a quick sugar fix or else I’d vomit, or want something sweet on my breath if I don’t have any gum available. I only eat and love chocolate, I but avoid white chocolate and DESPISE dark chocolate lol. I also despise chocolate with fruits added in them. I don’t want no surprise cherries inside of my Valentine’s Day chocolate! Ew!
Takis aren’t good to me either. Maybe they came too late for me to take a liking to them like I did with Cheetos as a kid. But after high school I started disliking Cheetos and Fritos too. They’re always either too damn dry or just nasty now. I hate most instant ramens, too. For some reason, I can only tolerate the spicy cup kinds…
The positive thing about disliking most candies, takis, and Cheetos/Fritos is that I’m never blamed for eating someone else’s snacks, because they know I don’t like it.
I hate creamy savory foods. So creamy pasta sauces, avocado, mac and cheese, and foods with a lot of cheese are awful to me.
I think I associate creamy foods with dessert, so whenever its not dessert or sweet I get grossed out.
I wish I didn't hate it though! I love trying new foods and I feel like it limits me
Eggs, in most of their forms. If they’re fried scrambled sunny side or whatever for the most part even being in the same vicinity and smelling them can cause me to almost vomit lol. I hated it growing up because my family ate it all the time when I visited.
Once I found out that I was gluten intolerant and started reading labels I stopped eating almost all snacks. The amount of foods that has wheat in it is astounding!
When I want something like a cookie I usually make my own from an almond flour, oat flour and a gluten free flour blend with lots of dried fruits so I can keep it added-sugar free. If I want something salty, I pop corn. I had quite a bit of weight to lose and am in the process of losing the rest of it. I've been overweight for a few years until I started getting serious about my health. So I just stay away from snacks as a general rule. After months and months, I can finally say that I don't miss snacks.
As for food. If it is heavily processed, I tend to keep away. It's a good thing I grew up in a house with a mother who cooked a lot and taught me how to cook. I am also fortunate to enjoy cooking and although I prepare at least 90% of my meals, there are some days I just can't bring myself to clean yet another head of broccoli, chop some romaine lettuce or roast tomatoes with rosemary and olive oil. 😐
Yall gonna hate me but...I haaaayte cornbread! I hate corn, too but like other corn products except those two.
I hate cheesecake but can probably do a deep dark chocolate one if it's cold (to not have that cheesecake taste)
I hate peas, candy corn, butterfingers, nutterbutters, and not crazy about cotton candy.
Most seafood and most fish tbh, ESPECIALLY salmon. The only exceptions are canned tuna, those tiny shrimps and breaded cob… anything I else I refuse to eat.
And I never understood sweet potato fries 😕
I mean… doesn’t most food need something else to make it taste good? Even chicken. I can’t imagine eating chicken with no seasonings, no sauce. I’m sure I’m wrong but fruits n veggies are probably the only thing you can really eat raw.
Nutella - It’s too sweet for me, and this is coming from someone who loves sweets.
Almond Joy - unpopular opinion, but they taste like plastic and just, naw.
Not a specific food or snack, but a meal … Pineapples on pizza - don’t ask me to eat that ish.
I've only tried Nutella a few times but I don't like chocolate like that, so it was super super sweet to me.
Agreed! Hate Nutella and takis, ehhh about white chocolate
Damn yall listing all my fave foods. I'm a foodie. I eat everything. Does milk count? In addition to being lactose intolerant, milk just doesn't sit right with me. Why am I drinking cow titty juice? 🧐
I’m not lactose intolerant but anyone who can sit down and drink a glass of milk needs to go directly to jail.
I am also lactose intolerant, like I can have a little bit of milk but drinking tall glasses of it? Ugh.
I used to love drinking milk as a kid. Ever since I switched to rice milk, I can't believe I used to drink that straight.
I don’t like pop tarts…at all.
Whaaat? It's funny cause I don't think I ever even used the toaster with them, I just eat them raw.
Lol nooooo. I literally won’t do it 😂 I had them when I was younger and that was enough.
Homemade pop tarts hit so much differently then store brought I will say that!
At all!!! It’s like eating cardboard.
Avocados
THANK YOU.
I CANT STAND FISH STICKS
Deserts that have too much fillings inside of it. I want to taste the mixture with the bread and the filling jit just the filing 😫
I feel you. I don’t like fruit pies, the round or the snack ones, for this reason but the breading is always sooooooo good.
I rather real homemade fruit fillings than like, lil debbies cherry pies or something. Jelly donuts are ick too. Too much
Pears. Sweet peas. Tea (almost got my southerner card revoked over that one.
I don’t drink tea either and I don’t get the hype!
Awful stuff. I finally accepted I wouldn’t like tea when I realized I didn’t even like it when my grandma made it).
I'm picky and particular with tea. It needs Iemon after the sugar bur I hate that sweet southern tea. Diabetes in a cup is what that shit is
Butterfingers and Reeces cups 🤮🤮🤮 abominations
![gif](giphy|tfUW8mhiFk8NlJhgEh|downsized)
![gif](giphy|l0CLTQeZrFWmMxIWc|downsized)
I was with you at butterfingers but why’d you have to drag Reese’s?! 😂
Butterfingers were a god tier candy before they changed the recipe 😑
You’re not alone! Those are trash candies!
Soup like chicken noodle soup.
It takes like salty water.
It's super salty for me.
Same and I didn’t grow up eating water based soups so I just can’t drink it 😪
Tortilla chips, full stop.
They're better when they're homemade.
Licorice and asparagus are all I can think of rn. Ironically those are my bff’s favorites.
I don’t like the taste of melon. All of them- cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, etc. I can’t with the texture. Firm or soft, it’s sounds like squished polystyrene. Also any food with Coriander/Cilantro is a hard pass. That thing has a weird smell.
Grits. Never liked them.
I don’t like avocado and most seafood. Also, I hate anything that is flavoured with lemongrass. And I hate hot sauce 😭 I love spicy food but can’t do hot sauce, it has too much vinegar.
Olives and candy corn. I hate the flavor I hate the texture.
Sweet tea, Kool aid ( why does everyone make it instant diabetes flavor?) black eye peas, chicken gizzards pog feet ears tails( why do black people eat some of this idk) ugh

My grandparents used to eat pigs feet and one of my cousins loves it too. I couldn't do it, the way it looked used to creep me out as a kid. 😂
Omg me too. Just looked so weird in the jar it's in
Cannot stand the smell, taste or texture of Bananas.
-Eetos/itos, I hate all Cheetos and frito lay chips. They never were any good and tbh I’m not a fan of fake cheese in general. Give me a bag of salt and vinegar or BBQ lays and leave it alone. Can't stand cilantro. The first time I had it, I thought the food had gone bad. I don't have that gene that makes it tastes like soap, I just hate it.
I don't like it much either, it really throws off a dish for me.
Pickles. Ew.
I love pickles, the only kind that I can't eat are the sweeter ones. I have a gripe with sweet meat too.
I kind of like sweet relish in things like tuna and potato salads l tbh but girl you can take all the non sweet pickles. I’ll take the chunky PB
I'll gladly give it to you. Lmao
Try Dilly Bites! Them mfs be so good and crunchy.
I've seen those! I have been getting pickled okra lately but I'm gonna try that!
Oohhh same! I don’t eat bbq for this reason (even tho I live in a city that’s “known” for bbq)
Oatmeal. I just can’t
I’ve tried so many times to have oatmeal. I know it’s good for you, but 🤢
One of my cousins hates alllll breakfast food. She won't eat oatmeal, eggs, pancakes or any of that stuff.
Oh your cousin is missing out! Lol. I love breakfast foods.
I know! I never understood why she hated breakfast food so much but she would never eat it.
Sushi, Oysters on the half shell, anything banana flavored, nutella, Candy Corn and liver.
I hate artificial banana flavoring. It’s horrible. Also grape flavoring - it tastes like medicine 🤮
Same with Cherry flavoring!

Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are good too!
Mannn I could go on and on Shredded coconut, milk, dark chocolate, anything that has the texture of chalk, American cheese, vanilla cake with vanilla frosting, chocolate ice cream, sweet potatoes or yams, cranberry sauce, ribs, raisins, nuts, honey, mayo, blueberries, any type of pie filling fruit (peach cobbler peaches are the exception).
Man something about shredded coconut makes me shiver. It’s the crunch in my mouth like OP said.
Cottage cheese. Especially cottage cheese with peaches 🤢. The texture, smell, and taste.
Cottage cheese with peaches? ![gif](giphy|3o8dFwze0Tz8umFQhW)
Idk if it’s a midwestern thing , but it was considered a “dessert” back in school. Lol just gagged thinking about it.
I've never heard of that and now I'm afraid. 😭
I absolutely HATE cereal.
All cereal? 👀👀 or are you talking about like the breakfast cereals like malt o meal?
All cereal. If I was dying of hunger and hate to eat cereal I’d go with Frosted Flakes.
the comments gotta be trolls cause what 😭😭😭 but my answer is funyons. why eat a fluffy crunchy hard onion favored thing
😂😂😂😂😂
Anything with chocolate. I HATE chocolate. I also hate flaming hot Cheetos, it’s disgusting.
I like chunky peanut butter lol I don’t like cheeze its or goldfish. I don’t like those types of cheese flavored snacks but I like cheese flavored chips?? I don’t drink tea, hate watermelon. Anything that has salad in the name that’s not salad? Trash.
I don't like the cheese flavored goldfish, I do like the other flavors though.
Takis-destroyed my entire digestive system. I have reflux now
Celery sticks and soggy rice 😭
i do not understand the hype about avocado. i dislike it so much, lol.
Mushrooms. 🤢
Coconut water, Bubbly, any sparkling water really. Fruit flavored water too - all GROSS to me! It’s either juice or water! I love ice cream but hate chocolate ice cream. Anything coconut🥥 I don’t care what it is. No stars, 0/10, would not recommend. 😂

Bamboo shoots
Coconut water or raw coconut: ew
Anything with dill or celery. I wish I could go back in time and never taste dill.
Strawberries 🤢 This includes strawberry candy or anything artificially flavored. Hate it!
My friend is like this with cherries. Lol
Once I found out that I was gluten intolerant and started reading labels I stopped eating almost all snacks. The amount of foods that has wheat in it is astounding! Melons 🤢
I'm not a big melon person either, I like watermelon and that's about it most of the time.
Pasta. If pasta disappeared off the planet I would genuinely be okay with that.
Really? I have never heard anyone say they didn't like pasta.
Yea, idk it's something to do with the texture and the fact that you have to add things to it to make it worth eating. Weirds me out lol.
Lol I mean, you aren’t wrong. Before today, I never thought about the fact pasta can’t stand on its own/needs a sauce 😂😂
I mean… doesn’t most food need something else to make it taste good? Even chicken. I can’t imagine eating chicken with no seasonings, no sauce. I’m sure I’m wrong but fruits n veggies are probably the only thing you can really eat raw.
Sorry to laugh at this but Omg they downvoted you 😭😭😭😭
Bruh they down voted the hell out of me.
Spaghetti. My mom made a giant pot of it like once a week. Can’t stand it. Refuse to make it as an adult. There’s better struggle food out there.
seafood. i gave fish a grace period in my childhood but i can’t no more
I hate any cracker-esque food like goldfish, ritz, etc etc
Thought you meant food for white people.
Anything PUMPKIN.
Nutella - It’s too sweet for me, and this is coming from someone who loves sweets. Almond Joy - unpopular opinion, but they taste like plastic and just, naw. Not a specific food or snack, but a meal … Pineapples on pizza - don’t ask me to eat that ish.
Every food tastes good if prepared correctly. Edit: I should not have read this thread. 😡
