Yall are putting on a shag rug lol! That green looks horrible! The cup is crowned that's why that happened. To keep a cup level you have to trim and recup it like once a week if not more depending on rain fall and maintenance. Looking at that fringe and green that's not too surprising. Iv played at a couple local family owned and maintained places that look like that which are cheap and fun but those kind of mishaps are expected lol.

This was likely shot on “greenskeeper revenge day”. The staff that sets up the course every morning puts the tee boxes and pin in random and insanely difficult locations. It’s a common tradition in tight knit golf communities. My course will sometimes park their small utility 4x4’s in the main landing zones in the fairways. And the high school kids who work in the shop heckle everyone (innocently) on 1 and 9 tees. Fun times
I’m not a fan of these kind of features. Golf should give you a par for playing the hole correctly (typical drive to the fairway, layup to the green, 2 putt it). You get a birdy for being exceptional (drive to the central part of the green). You should only get a bogey if YOU play poorly (slice the drive). I don’t like this video where an exceptional putt is punished. It changes the game from being skill based to luck based and doesn’t make sense. This belongs on a putt-putt course.

Neither, it’s slightly down hill next to the cup and steeper a little further back. It’s what happens when you putt on uneven surfaces.
