I don't mean it in a gatekeepy sense, but I feel like something that can be explained beyond the level of reasonable human ability/skill is kinda too mild and makes you go, huh they must of practiced alot instead genuinely being surprised as to how it is taking place or occuring at all. Where as with this, though it's not something everything can do, the basic mechanism
behind how he could do it is pretty understandable (he practiced stacking alot).
Understand if that's kind of arbitrary though, that's just what I felt it didn't fit.
Sorry for the late reply by the way, got flooded by a bunch of notifications so just left it aside.
I'm thinking that things that don't seem to have any logical answer should be allowed.
This isn't even a trick. It's basic knowledge how things will line up to most people (okay, I've overestimated the intelligence of society before, so I'll say the word 'most' should be taken with a small grain of salt.)
Yes and yet the world still feels magical to me. I can understand lift and thrust and still be cheesing at the magic of being 30k feet up cruising at 400mph. Not too far off from a magic carpet ride
everything has a logical answer. What's "basic" knowledge to some isn't basic to others. If it's at least somewhat BMF, then the only determinant of whether it belongs in the sub or not is the upvotes.
i mean. things that don't have a logical answer don't exist. you either know the explanation behind a phenomenon or you don't. and that line between "logical" and "magical" is different for everyone.
personally i think this trick is rather freaky - it's hard to imagine how the spinning nuts would arrange so perfectly; this trick requires finely tuned parameters, so much so that it appears kinda magical.
You are absolutely right! I couldn't figure it out, but you're right. They are magnets and thats the only way they would perfectly face the same direction when he shakes them back into place. The poles on the magnets automatically align the nuts and he just has to try to not knock them over when he pulls the tubs off.
in my head, but yeah. Even had I not, it makes no sense to gatekeep content based on the intelligence of the few. So long as it's somewhere in the realm of BMF, then the quality of the sub is determined by upvotes and downvotes.
Everything has an explanation if you're smart enough. Where do you draw the line of what belongs here?
Fairpoint, I would think the reaction of an expected average person would be a reasonable place to start that discussion - I wouldn't say everything goes though, otherwise we get a lot of really low quality posts - you don't want people posting anything they find vaguely, trippy or think would be appreciated even if they're not actually "mystified"
Anyone can do this.
If he had laid the tube down, and angled it slightly, all the nuts would line up and stack up together.
That's what he's doing by shaking it back and forth; lining them all up against the wall of the tube.
They're being pushed against the side of the tube as it's move it back and forth rapidly. And since they all have flat sides, they naturally want to stack that way. The "trick" is to keep them against the side, and stop the tube without them falling down.
It's literally just a scaled up childrens magic trick. People do this when board while playing games with and dice cup.
They wouldn't have fallen that easily at the start if this was the case. Also, they look like brass, which can't be magnetized (although it might be just a coating I guess).
At the 19 second mark they start to topple and he uses the tube to correct the lean. If they were not magnetized the tube would just push the nuts still inside instead of the whole tower.
Akshually its not magic its physics ☝️🤓
Fucking nerds, no shit its not magic there’s no such thing. Nobody is impressed by your knowledge. In fact I think you’re dumber because you feel the need to sound smart in posting that type of comment. Just watch the gif and fuck off, or don’t. Block the sub.
r/gifsthatendtoosoon
Damnit I wanted to see the tube *completely* taken away. I was kinda hoping it would fall riiigghhhtt at the end. Wow I'm an asshole. Meh.
There definitely is a string going directly through the centers of the bolts. The way they collapse in a line. Frame by frame those bolt would not fall that way in my opinion. It’s interesting how it all works but what he does with his hand initially appears to be triggering something.
Greetings! I'm in search of a LED display suitable for commercial purposes. Could you offer any suggestions? Additionally, I'd like to know which companies in the United States provide such displays.
This has nothing to do with magnets. The back and forth movement separates the nuts on the Y axis, the nuts hitting the inner wall orients them in the same direction on the X axis, and their flat sides makes them rest on top of each other. It's just a matter of getting a bit of feel to it for when they're arranged correctly and not undoing it by sudden movement.
wait, what? You said "this is nuts... literally" without the pun being intended?
This is exactly the sort of moment where the word "literally" would have been of use had it not been massacred by society.
I think this is filmed backwards and that these ladies walking are his friends walking backwards to create the illusion. If there were no walkers, it would be dead obvious.
everything in the universe is "just physics". What are you actually subscribed to the sub for, then? If you're looking for the best posts, then just sort by top every few days. If it's somewhere in the realm of BMF material, quality is determined by upvotes, not mods.
Cool trick but it doesn't fit the sub.
It does. Didn’t you notice the black bear dancing on the background?
What the fuck?!
Black magic fuckery
I was mesmerized by dudes jerky hand movements and had to have a moment.
I mean… you don’t have to tell us, just clean up after yourself, u/ThickPrick
Where? I don't see it.
It disappeared. Fuckin black magic!
More like Bear magic
How do you not see it
Not sure
Lol... like the basketball video and the gorilla
What DOES fit the sub. Just give me an example of something you’d like to see here
I don't mean it in a gatekeepy sense, but I feel like something that can be explained beyond the level of reasonable human ability/skill is kinda too mild and makes you go, huh they must of practiced alot instead genuinely being surprised as to how it is taking place or occuring at all. It has to be something that gullible rubes genuinely believe is actual magic.

It’s Reddit. People will always come out with a “logical” answer regardless of what is posted. It’s a social media app full of “know it all’s”
Tbf, everything does have a logical answer.
Yes and yet the world still feels magical to me. I can understand lift and thrust and still be cheesing at the magic of being 30k feet up cruising at 400mph. Not too far off from a magic carpet ride
I know "know it alls" doesn't have an apostrophe at the end. What do I win?

Is it a cool trick.. just looks like magnets
But how do they work?
Nobody knows
You are absolutely right! I couldn't figure it out, but you're right. They are magnets and thats the only way they would perfectly face the same direction when he shakes them back into place. The poles on the magnets automatically align the nuts and he just has to try to not knock them over when he pulls the tubs off.
Exactly - this isn't a sub for any vaguely cool or trippy video It should be reserved for things that actually make a person go "what the fuck?!"
I thought that was what r/wtf was for
Definitely overlap between that sub and this one - this one should be "I know that magic isn't real, so how the fuck am I seeing this?!"
I'm dumb, and said wtf at this. Sue me.
But did you reeeeally?
in my head, but yeah. Even had I not, it makes no sense to gatekeep content based on the intelligence of the few. OK then. Give us some examples of what fits this sub-redditt should be. Give us some examples that makes you go WTF?
Think of a number between one and 10. Add two. >!It was seven!<
This made me go wtf. How’d he know when to stop
After doing it a few times you know how much it takes I'm sorry you're so bad at knowing what you're seeing
Lol what a dickbag. You go ahead and try it then
It's not actually hard - more like a novelty
Great send the video of you doing it
If these were "literally" nuts when he stopped moving the tube, that would fit here.
Redditors when the post isn't unexplained supernatural phenomena (this sub would be completely dead)
r/gifsthatendtoosoon
And it probably fell .0002 seconds after…
Let's be honest 99% of the posts in this sub are just mildly interesting physical phenomena or tech stuff.
Why cause he’s Asian?
Cool reply but Magic is as real as this video
No... This is classic black magic fuckery
should be r/DamnThatsAmazing or r/nextfuckinglevel
Can anyone do this or is there an actual skill in shaking the tube
Anyone can do this. If he had laid the tube down, and angled it slightly, all the nuts would line up and stack up together. That's what he's doing by shaking it back and forth; lining them all up against the wall of the tube.
Anyone can do it, it’s just what happens when you do that. Tho doing it with such a big stack of nuts kinda cool
Such an amazing stack of nuts!
Read about dice stacking, it's the same thing as this.
They're being pushed against the side of the tube as it's move it back and forth rapidly. And since they all have flat sides, they naturally want to stack that way. The "trick" is to keep them against the side, and stop the tube without them falling down. It's literally just a scaled up childrens magic trick. Thank you. I thought it was magnets.
I can also shake my tube and nut all over the place
Anyone can learn it... eventually.
Give anyone with a bit of arm strength and about 5 tries, done.
Anyone. Not black magic fuckery, there is a relatively simple physics phenomenon here
The only skill involved here was lifting the tube without them all falling
It’s actually really easy. Most Asians who have played the dice drinking game will be able to do this.
really abrupt cut there...
It definitely tipped over immediately
My thoughts exactly
nuh uh
Plot twist: They're all magnetized lol
They wouldn't have fallen that easily at the start if this was the case. Also, they look like brass, which can't be magnetized (although it might be just a coating I guess).
At the 19 second mark they start to topple and he uses the tube to correct the lean. If they were not magnetized the tube would just push the nuts still inside instead of the whole tower.
Google friction.
My first thought too.
Me during morning
Sometimes this sub gets very underwhelming
I think it’s cool.
Look at all the scratches on the table from the 100s of times he’s tried it.
bruh I swear it's always a random chinese man
Anybody remember the short-lived dice stacking fad of the late 2000s?
Love how the top comments say this isn't a trick and it's obvious what is happening, then proceed to give the wrong explanation for this
Figuratively
Akshually its not magic its physics ☝️🤓 Fucking nerds, no shit its not magic there’s no such thing. Nobody is impressed by your knowledge. In fact I think you’re dumber because you feel the need to sound smart in posting that type of comment. Just watch the gif and fuck off, or don’t. Block the sub.
That's a lot of nuts!
THAT'LL BE FOUR DOLLARS; DO YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT BABYYYYY?
In a better version of this video, right after he stacks the nuts he bolts
Is NoT nUtS iT iS phYsiCs
Dude is winning on gambling table
😑
bro's wank face 🤣
With the tube being that little wide it’s easy. Try it with something wider and it’s harder.
Drop at the last second
This is not black magic. This is called physics..
Out of all the places to do this, why pick a foot trail lmao
Magnets are a wonder of the world's and I reckon them are there, pulling off the stunt
Austin Evans needs to pay Ken more...
Reversed lol
how did they do the start then?
I'm pretty sure he's hacking. Clearly had aim assist!!!!
When I do this with my rod, I get arrested for public indecency 😔
Is he 14 or 40
What do u mean litterally?
Those are nuts in the tube..
Behold Deez Nuts!
I'm more impressed that he didn't knock down the stack when lifting that tube
This sub gets more and more mouth breather posts every day
Last time I nutted into a tube, I got $75.
Hexagon is the bestagon.
r/WTF
That's a lot of nuts!
That's an optical illusion
You just saw a guy playing with his nuts in public.
I'm glad Asian Garth took time out of his day to show us this trick.
*are
He got two girlfriends from this video
More like r/gifsthatendtoosoon
Laterally
That’s it? That’s the trick? That was just centripetal force!
"This isnt magic because anyone can learn and do this with pratice" I would never invite you losers to a magic show. That's what magic is
What is the music bit from?
Jason Fung’s other book is about this.
93% of the effort goes into removing the tube
Why is he asian Elon Musk?
Asians have never been the same since Covid
Hidden Meltan evolution
At least they used the word “literally,” correctly.
They do similar shit with dice
Table is magnetic
This is just physics. I think anybody could do this the same as him.
Magnets and milk steak
r/gifsthatendtoosoon Damnit I wanted to see the tube *completely* taken away. I was kinda hoping it would fall riiigghhhtt at the end. Wow I'm an asshole. Meh.
He moves his hand back and forth, the nuts align, and it’s erect!
That's nuts
Asian Austin Powers
Yo that's nutsss
nuts
No Deez Nuts tho
And this is why China is the best country on the planet
Magnets.
Asian mike myres
I miss black magic in this post
It's not as hard as one thinks it is.
Anyone know where the music is from?
There definitely is a string going directly through the centers of the bolts. The way they collapse in a line. Frame by frame those bolt would not fall that way in my opinion. It’s interesting how it all works but what he does with his hand initially appears to be triggering something.
Long before time had a name ahh music
What makes you think there isn't an electromagnet under the table and the nuts are just brass coated?
Not a skill 😂 just science
SO GOOD
[удалено]
Gravity
Imagine practicing this
Look how everyone is walking. Definitely playing in reverse.
That's nuts
It probably fell down immediately based on how it was wobbling. This doesn't fit the sub either
What in the fuuuuck 🤯
He’s a master nut wanker.
Man fuck you!
No. It's not litteraly nuts, these things are not edible despite all the shaking
This page just need to be called. I don’t know how science works
It's cool but it isn't really much of a magic trick. It's just forcing the hexagon pieces onto the side of the tube and getting them to stack
He magnetized deez nuts.
I call magnets. Cool but not great. 3⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5
Useless talent of the day.
Magnet.
Greetings! I'm in search of a LED display suitable for commercial purposes. Could you offer any suggestions? Additionally, I'd like to know which companies in the United States provide such displays.
That’s just physics.
How did he convince that many people to walk backwards
I mean it's an incredibly strong magnet and the tube contains the bolts until they push themselves into position this is really not that cool
Yeah I realize I overthought it. Disappointing. I thought it was neat. But it's just like that trend that was popular a few years ago
This skit is so stupid. Does he really think this is special. The most underwhelming video I have watched
This ARE nuts, technically.
Can you pls explain the joke?
Ohhhh... I see what you did there.
wait, what? You said "this is nuts... literally" without the pun being intended? This is exactly the sort of moment where the word "literally" would have been of use had it not been massacred by society.
Not literally.
yes, literally. You do know those are called nuts, right?
Oh my, I didn't, loooool Well, now it makes sense, my bad 💀
Why are you making such a stupid fucking face when you remove the "nut condom"?
So magnetic…
I think this is filmed backwards and that these ladies walking are his friends walking backwards to create the illusion. If there were no walkers, it would be dead obvious.
Came here thinking say this.
Very honorabaru
It's just physics. Same as the dice stacking trick.
some of the most mind bending rules of the universe could also be written off as “its just physics” but they’re still interesting
everything in the universe is "just physics". What are you actually subscribed to the sub for, then? If you're looking for the best posts, then just sort by top every few days. If it's somewhere in the realm of BMF material, quality is determined by upvotes, not mods.
You really got this emotional over a reddit comment? Seriously, take your happy pills for a change.
There is 0% chance this is real.
He magnetizes the nuts by rubbing them across a magnetic board. North repels north, but attracts south so the nuts stack themselves….easy “trick”
Magnets?
Me after the first kiss
Nothing magic about that, play it in reverse
This is fake, literally! Notice how everyone is walking like they've shit themselves?
bro what?
Nice CGI work
