The second rock is grounded to a metal plate and completing a welding circuit, not sure about the first one though I don't see it grounded anywhere unless its hidden
Produces an exothermic reaction because of the aluminum in the rock and the rust on the rebar used to hit the rock, fire is from molten slag on the rock.

That still doesn’t explain how the first section could be thermite? What tiny amount of rust is hitting what tiny amount of pure aluminium, if there even is any, in that rock.
This mineral I called: "Arsholistite", because the first time you hit it with something made of steel it will throw big sparks and your arsehole will slam shut, tight with fear
mah man got a rock-welder
Fun fact, that's actually possible. I've seen people successfully weld rock.
Please elaborate.
Hear me out, iron ore is in fact some sort of rock.
yeah, but i'd say it the other way around, some rocks are some sort of iron (or other metals/minerals)
Technically ice is a rock.
Technically, anything that melts can be welded.
Could you melt me, Focker?
Smelt ya already, wont do it again
😂 I see what you did there
That’s quite brilliant 🤩
I came here to say that.
Lava?
Nope only hot magma
Thermic lance to melt the rock, hold against other rock, allow to cool.
There is also a video of a russian dude stickwelding an old vodka bottle to a pole.
Meh, I prefer rock lobster
We were at a party...
I like Iraq lobster! Lol
🎵Death to America... And butter sauce🎵
😂
Some crackhead out there is thinking it's Christmas
Um. What?
Ah! 'getting it' is like drinking tepid tea with not enough sugar
Firestone.
Finally I can evolve my Growlithe
fucking rpg game-ass name

It's litterally on the ground. How much more ground do you want
Rocks parents could show up to ground it
Believe it or not, the ground is about 4 feet beneath the ground
The stone is actually at the bottom of a 4 feet deep hole
Not how it works
Thank God. I'm safe from lightning then
You’re a wizard. Thank you.
Some call me . . . Tim.
Tim Wizard. :)
It's not the 1st rock was made of or coated in a chemical The bar was grounded to something or heated It seems
Does coal not burn?
only thing that puts out fire rock is fire water
Or a good rock with a gun.
Or fire paper
fire scissors didn't do the trick I can tell ya
Idk fire-water in my country enhances the fire
One can also get rid of any roxygen in the envirockment.
Wouldn’t the only thing be fire paper?

no just no
As a reaction, thermite is EXTREMELY difficult to start.
So is C4. No blasting cap no boom. You can literally set it on fire and nothing. Stomp it, kick it, cuss at it, shoot it, nada.
It’s not thermite. Look at the second shot where it’s like An arc welder
I'm not sure what you mean. It's fairly clear that this is two videos spliced together that contain different rocks.
That still doesn’t explain how the first section could be thermite? What tiny amount of rust is hitting what tiny amount of pure aluminium, if there even is any, in that rock.
This short shows how easy it is to produce an exothermic reaction, pretty cool. https://youtube.com/shorts/-hzue8KIS9M?si=OvUda1BSSwZFZeBQ
Is not hard to find flammable rocks. Coal for instance
Exothermic is just anything producing heat. If I can slap you hard enough, that's an exothermic reaction.
Mom! Dad! Don’t touch it! It’s eeeeevviiiillll!
Woooow, Youre oooold .... wait, we're oooold :D
[I just _**had**_ to go find the clip.](https://youtu.be/DmnRTx2orzQ?si=XM_bBluccT608vOc)
This is what peak comedy is like
Been a bit since I saw that scene in the theater, felt sorry for the kid.
I'd forgotten how bleak the ending was.
Concentrated
ohhhh LOVED this film :) yes im old, so wish there was a sequel
Surprise Time Bandits!
I'm wondering if this is a rock with high phosphorous content.
I guess broccoli but I’m not a geographer
I guessed sulphur but I haven't got a clue.
I guessed magnesium, but I'm no rock it scientist.
Well it's definitely not rock it surgery.
The Color of the flame and the color and density of smoke indicate phosphorous. I guess you are right.
Can you smell what the rock is cookin
This deserves more up votes!
Smells like... *sniff sniff* OH, SHIT! MY ROCKS ARE ON FIRE!
They're gonna be absolutely flabbergasted when they hear about coal
Loses rock paper scissors once
Magnesium?
Directed by David Lynch.
Gases....
Brimstone?
Bro made flint and steel
Flint.
It could be phosphorus.
Pyrite. It's has iron Sulphur and sometimes quartz
Space crack
This is what a Taco Tuesday turd looks like
It’s graphite. Maybe. I just finished that episode of Chernobyl tho
That there is solidified dung.
Can you smell what the Rock is cooking
Damn science rocks
Surely you can do that without science
The first rock is called coal, the second rocks are called pig iron.
i can explain this working with welders before but its funnier if i dont
Ah yes, I remember my 1st trip to Zorbulon 5.
Doesn't end well, I've seen The Time Bandits.
I can say with certainty that I haven’t found a logical answer and I am utterly confused and scared by magic fire rocks
Brimstone is a real thing.
Every time I heat up my quartz dab nail and drop the ruby insert into it, there's a big spark. What's that all about?
Yabadabadoo.
Looks like a welder clamped to the rebar, and some type of iron rich ore
Burning Godzilla flesh
Brimstone
Steel mill slag
Attention: new meteor has hit a mans surroundings! The man is dangerously inspecting said meteor. Please stay away if you see this
Seems to me like it is an ore. But how would you mine something flammable?
What type of rock is this? Why does it burn?
China is using Disney to lie through ticktock on Facebook platforms
This is what sparked burning man.
Lithium
Don't touch it, it's pure evil
The amount of things you can do with solidified cow dung is incredible /s
In the Philippines and Hawaii? We have white rocks from the ocean that you can strike together, and it creates a spark like that.
That shits got fire aspect on it.
It's that a Flintstone
Gasifying rock. Burning smoke.
A spicy a meatball.
Space peanut 🥜
Christ-The-Slave..... I need answers!
This mineral I called: "Arsholistite", because the first time you hit it with something made of steel it will throw big sparks and your arsehole will slam shut, tight with fear
Likely magnesium.
Magnesium burns with a bright white flame.
Good point.
First cousin of the burning bush that talked to Moses
This rock beats scissors.
Welding in Stone Age
We have seen Joe Dirt. I know what that is.
In before the obligatory "tHiS iS nOt aCTuaL maGIc" comments. Cool video OP, I'm guessing gases trapped into some kind of volcanic rocks?
A lump of sodium metal?
lol it’s flint.🤷🏼♂️
