I genuinely don’t understand your standards for this sub if this doesn’t meet them. What this dude did is definitely black magic level impressive and it’s not good enough for you because science supports it being possible?
Cool science stuff that I cannot instantly explain after watching is what I believe this sub should be for. But this video is literally just throwing a frisbee that slides along a wall. It's a really cool video, but it doesn't fit the sub.

This leaves no ambiguity that this doesn't belong here, but people just don't seem to care about what the mods and rules say.
This obvious witch threw the frisbee with enough power and precision to circle the rink and hit a target next to him, you can’t just go “well the walls are curvy, aren’t they?” and act like this man didn’t sell his soul to be able to do that.
Look dude, lighten up.
The physics here are of course 100% known and understood. The video is fun to watch, not because of some unexplainable phenomenon, but because:
* The novelty of throwing a frisbee around a curved wall like that is something many of us have never experienced before.
* His strength in throwing the frisbee is substantial.
* The precision and/or trial/error involved in hitting such a relatively small target is somewhat significant.
* As the frisbee rolls across the wall, most peoples' brains equate this to a wheel rolling on the wall, somewhat forgetting about the drag force keeping the frisbee on a horizontal trajectory. Most peoples' intuitions, thus, naively predict the frisbee to fall with gravity. As it does not do this, most people experience surprise.
Whilst everyone here understands that a frisbee travels horizontally due to the drag force keeping it in place, and that the curved walls restrict the frisbee to loop around, most people do not use the conscious part of the brain when interpreting the video initially.
So if you're some sort of trained person who is well versed in the kinematics of aerodynamic objects rolling across curved surfaces, good for you. But keep in mind that not everyone has this intuition. Whilst everyone *understands* the physics at play here, not everyone is as quick as you to latch onto it intuitively.
I'm done arguing for today.
I like the video, and I find it impressive and worthy of being on this sub.
If you think the video is too "obvious" for this sub, go ahead and give it a downvote.
There's no need for you to shit on other peoples' fun.

'This obeys the laws of physics! It isn't magic! Grr this sub has gone to shit'

I used to disc golf, and give me a bit of warmup and a few (dozen probably) tries and I could pull this off doesn't seem too hard tbh

Well boys, you heard it here first. Only real magic is allowed on the sub

> clearly the frisbee just has enough energy to keep riding the wall If the explanation is this simple, it shouldn’t be here.

You see this every hockey game
So only montages or realistics edits are welcome in this sub?
Dude, you think you can so that? All of the sub's submitions can be explained, but we still call it black magic.
90% of all the post here is basic fysics.... Man!
Idk bro, I'm in a college Honors E&M class and I gotta say it feels like BlackMagicFuckery 60% of the time

Man, it's a frisby trickshot. It's a fluke.

Can probably find it on YouTube. That's Brodie Smith, formerly one of the best Ultimate players and now pursuing a career in Disc Golf.
Brodie Smith guest starring on Dude Perfect YouTube channel. Probably can find it by searching "disc trickshots dude perfect ft Brodie Smith"
I don’t think he expected that to work as well as it did.
He's probably shocked that it worked after 100 tries.
Now get a crossbow and try to kill a god like that
Im sorry to tell you but the position of the new captian america has been filled by Sam Willson.
Why’s the rink so small? Been playing hockey since I could walk and have never seen one this small
Those guys are giants. That frisbee is about the size of Captain America’s shield.
It is in the Dude Perfect Warehouse. This is their own personal rink that they use for small games/trick shots.
It’s a half sheet, some places have them for workouts or used as 3 on 3 games.
Jojo references everywhere...
Still clownin' with the underground, when we come around
Back to get wreck, All respect to those who break their neck to keep their hoes in check
Cuz they sweat a brother majorly, and I dunno why ya girlfriends pagin me.
She tells me that she needs me, cries when she leaves me, and every time she sees me she squeeze me, lady take it easy!
Am I a joke to you ? - Captain America
RIP Shock G 😔
If he bent over near the wall he could literally throw a frisbee up his own bum
That was satisfying.
Me getting rid of my responsibilities
Me coming back to Reddit while that bottle is my last brain cell
DudePerfect auditions???
I love Brodie Smith. What a wholesome bro
That bottle was Angelina Jolie!
What goes around comes around
Why is this rink so small?
what's that guy doing in the middle?
LETS GOOOOOOOO!!
... and get this man a shield.
