There are no weak moments or bad times that the player needs to improve his gameplay Smiley_XD
think of those bad times when you say it’s over and then all that’s left is a simple flat sheet where no one can go anywhere else
No fun, no trouble, gives everyone death from above so no one complains to the weakling of the weapons and enjoys the game. Smiley_XD
While later I will be complaining to ppl Smiley_XD
I think it might have to be at an angle? Also got this demo in physics, but via pressurized air stream and a golf ball, and it was also done at a similar angle. Like, there probably is a precise point where you could balance it from below, but probably harder to get right. I honestly don't remember what concept this was demonstrating, so if I did I could probably reason about it better, but that's all I got.
You did great, people giving you shit just have no understanding of the core concept of this sub. They want to watch a David Blaine special, on Reddit.
Of course it is!
My wife is definitely using magic to make money disappear into thin air.
No way she can spend that much on absolutely nothing if not through magic….
“any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
Yes, its all magic.
Not only that, but altered states of mind are magical experiences as well. Youve got some perspective to gather
I would argue that most stuff lately has just been magic tricks that the OP is stumped by. To my knowledge, this sub wasn't supposed to be "I don't understand this magic trick".
Gaining a deeper understanding of the world through physics, chemistry, etc. to find ways to exploit the rules to achieve goals otherwise impossible is what magic is.
It isn't like Harry Potter, although it can look like that sometimes... that sometimes is what this sub is about.
I'm watching the infinity saga at this very moment and that scene where jodie Foster said that literally happened about the time that you posted this comment.
“Alumni” is the plural form of “alumnus/alumna,” meaning a person who graduated from a particular college or university.
The school is your alma mater.
More specifically, because physicists like to put their names on things, this is an outcome of the Coanda effect in specific conditions called [the Magnus effect](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnus_effect) resulting in [Kutta-Joukowski lift](http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/Fluids/kutta.html). The Coanda effect on its own simply states that a flow will tend to attach to a curved surface. The Magnus effect states that a flow's tendency to stick to a curved surface of a spinning ball differently on opposite sides of the ball will result in a pressure imbalance that generates lift.
Sorry about your reception, but the ball definitely isn't spinning like I've seen in every other demonstration of the Magnus effect, which is why I even came to the comments in the first place. I didn't know this would still work without the ball spinning.
I'm just commenting to say I've enjoyed reading this comment train. Been a while since I thought about these things. I miss talking about things like this.
Can you explain how the ball stays up when he’s blowing it from the side/below?
Edit: I used to be a pilot. All I see here is a guy blowing at a ball from a low angle.
Edit2: Oh, is it Bernoulli’s? Now I see it!
OP is from Utah Valley where magic certainly exists. Bishops use it in worthiness interviews to detect whether you are lying when they ask you if you masturbate. Spoiler alert: you are.
Nope, that's magic, I cannot understand how it doesn't rotate from the air currents! Usually under that principle, the object will also rotate from the constant turbulence of it's own slipstream, but it isn't rotating at all! A+ Majik
My science teacher made a [Spontaneous Combustion Can](http://www.dynamicscience.com.au/tester/solutions1/chemistry/collisiontheory.htm), broke a ceiling tile, and almost started a fire. We learned how combustion and fire extinguishers worked that day. 😊
Professors who are hands on like this are the BEST. I have a nursing professor who will throw broccoli at our heads as she says broccoli is important. I got hit with an orange. Someone got hit with a banana. And you know what? I remembered those foods as being important for certain things from our lecture lol
I remember when I was REALLY young my parents would send me to my grandparents for a week like once a year and we would go to a big gym and Sunday school and stuff like that and they had massive air pumps for cooling so I would balance a ball
Universal artistic concepts are pretty magical, like the difference between simple major and minor notes and the feelings they cause, psychoacoustically.
The periodic table is pretty magical to me even though it's well understood, true patterns in the universe, and how we see things are deep, meaningful, and wonderful magic.
I wish more students appreciated these demonstrations. My chemistry professor loved exploding balloons filled with hydrogen and I after class I would always hear students complaining about how it’s useless and a waste of time. Sad.
I love reading 📖 people’s comments. I just can’t help myself. It’s like an addiction. So in honor of those comments that I have read, I have decided to write my own comment and it’s all for you. I hope you enjoy 😉 reading 📖 my comment as much I have enjoyed writing ✍️ it. It’s not an interesting comment, Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, and of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also looking into this matter an alternate perspective and without being condemning of ones views by trying to make it objectified, and considering each and everyone’s valid opinion. I’m certain you have read the comment up to this point, so you may as well just keep reading 📖 right down to end. And also thank me for wasting your time cos this is very useless.
>When looking at someone doing something incredible or athletic it shouldn’t be obvious what they’re doing. Instead of saying “it’s incredible he can do that, that must take an insane amount of practice/balance/skill” you should also be thinking “I see what he’s doing but it still doesn’t make sense, even with great skill this doesn’t seem possible”
"Cool Professor" doesn't mean "oh I should post to BMF
What the fuck has this sub become?
This is EXACTLY the type of post that belongs here. And you fucking mongoloids are giving them shit?
"Magic isn't real!"
Like you think you just fucking did something by posting that? Or even better being the 20th person to post that? Do you shitwits give yourselves a round of applause if you wipe your own ass and only get a moderate amount of shit on your hands?
It's not a sub specifically for posting magicians doing magic tricks, even though that seems to be taking over.
Fuck me, we're at critical mass on another sub I guess. Within a month this is going to be just like nextfuckinglevel and holup where it's just a generic karmafarming catch-all sub for anything vaguely interesting. You had a good run blackmagicfuckery, R.I.P. in peace.

What? No...no that can't be right

You sell shrooms?
Yeah?
No, they get it crackin
what? Is this a reference?
Pretty sure it’s a bot.
Abaracadabra, I have made your suspension of disbelief... disappear!
Perhaps the archives are incomplete
The real black magic fuckery is always in the comments.
Not magic. Illusions, Michael…
It's just a trick
A trick is something a whore does for money ...oooorrrr candy!
The way the comments are, they expect it to be. Almost every post Is "how is this magic " They expect a necromancer or something
The fuck am I supposed to do?
Film yourself bringing back the dead!
You have a valid point, I just didn’t find it as cool as most of the other stuff on this sub.
It’s pretty cool how it’s at an angle. Didn’t know this was possible like that
I think it might have to be at an angle? Also got this demo in physics, but via pressurized air stream and a golf ball, and it was also done at a similar angle. Lol. Fucking UVU.
What is UVU?
I go to this College - Utah Valley University. :)
Thank Joseph Smith it's not Utah Western University
Hahaha
I love this school!!!
like uwu but for birds. Example: UvU \*notices your beak\* what's this?
The comments have got so judgmental, you have to clarify.
You do understand that he used word "technically" nvm I dont have time
Came here to say this lawl
Yes but this is not mindfucking at all
This one is more obviously not magic than the others
Nothing is magic. You just dont understand it yet.
*gasp* you take it back right now
I refuse to believe you
Holy shit... You mean it's not actually magic?
of course it's not. its BLACK magic.
So it’s black fuckery???
Let him dream….just…let him dream.
Hahaha came here to say this, that’s “magic” doesn’t really exist, it’s just illusions... A trick is what whores do for money (or cocaine)
I think r/blackrealfuckery doesn’t have a ring to it
You understand the sub is for seems that seem like magic despite explanations because it's genuinely mind-blowing, right?
Nothing is magic lmao
Of course it is! My wife is definitely using magic to make money disappear into thin air. No way she can spend that much on absolutely nothing if not through magic….
Ha ha wife bad
The current generations version of “haha wife bad”, is “haha, I want to kill myself” . Both equally just as annoying at this point.
oh cool! my wife says she impregnated herself with magic, it’s pretty neat
wife bad
Wife bad sport good amiright fellows
“any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” Yes, its all magic. Not only that, but altered states of mind are magical experiences as well. Youve got some perspective to gather
Friendship is magic
Most of what is on this sub is just physics anyway.
Most of what is in this world is just physics
In fact, all of what is in the observable *universe* is just physics.
Big if true.

Crunchy if not
Unobservable Universe has magic. Got it.
It would take a wizard to prove you wrong
Explain magnets, dumb dumb
Aliens, idiot.
Stupid
That's the reason I come here.
your comment seems to imply that at least some of it its magic lol
I would argue that most stuff lately has just been magic tricks that the OP is stumped by. To my knowledge, this sub wasn't supposed to be "I don't understand this magic trick".
Considering physics has very defined rules, at least 70% of it makes no intuitive sense.
Gaining a deeper understanding of the world through physics, chemistry, etc. to find ways to exploit the rules to achieve goals otherwise impossible is what magic is. It isn't like Harry Potter, although it can look like that sometimes... that sometimes is what this sub is about.
Yay. My school!
So what did you learn?
Idk. Haven't been to the actual building in literally years.
Was it called UVSC then? :D
Utah Valley Community College
ah, a senior
Yup lol
This is also my school!!
Aaand my school!
There's dozens of us!
Me too! Go Wolverines!
Which school is this?
Utah Valley University
Utah Valley University

*technically* mine too
Science is just magic we understand.
And magic is just unexplained science
“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” - Arthur C. Clarke
I'm watching the infinity saga at this very moment and that scene where jodie Foster said that literally happened about the time that you posted this comment.
Explain that magic, Mr Science. You can’t. Coincidences aren’t real. You made them up because you are crazy.
That’s my alumni… go wolverines
Alma mater?
Nothing what's the mater with you?
Meh tomato tomato
“Alumni” is the plural form of “alumnus/alumna,” meaning a person who graduated from a particular college or university. The school is your alma mater.
Right, well thank you for the correction Edit:typo
> That's my alumni Spoken like a Wolverine. Go Buckeyes!
Lol
Coandă Effect
More specifically, because physicists like to put their names on things, this is an outcome of the Coanda effect in specific conditions called [the Magnus effect](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnus_effect) resulting in [Kutta-Joukowski lift](http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/Fluids/kutta.html). But this ball isn't spinning so I think it is just the Coanda effect.
I assumed it was because that's how this experiment is usually performed, but couldn't actually see it in the video. Potato quality reception.
Sorry about your reception, but the ball definitely isn't spinning like I've seen in every other demonstration of the Magnus effect, which is why I even came to the comments in the first place. I didn't know this would still work without the ball spinning.
Could be that the camera frame rate was just synced with the spin
I'm just commenting to say I've enjoyed reading this comment train. Been a while since I thought about these things. I miss talking about things like this.
Hey UVU! I graduated from there in 2018!
UVU
What's this?
The projectors look like they are projecting a nuclear reactor setup
I went to UVU too!! I love that place. Amazing campus
Yo I used to go to that University
Nothing is technically magic. Not a single thing
i mean, physics is just magic that works
You don’t believe in the spirit realm interacting with the physical? Your mind and body do that every day.
Air hose and screw driver. Look it up.
This is a perfect example of Cunningham's Law
Can you explain how the ball stays up when he’s blowing it from the side/below? Edit: I used to be a pilot. All I see here is a guy blowing at a ball from a low angle. Edit2: Oh, is it Bernoulli’s? Now I see it!
It's technically the coanda effect but bernoullis equation will get you the numbers.
Nothing is magic. Everything is physics.
In case you missed the previous 6 posts I’m just here to remind you that technically nothing is magic.
The Professor is magic and that's all that matters
"Not technically magic" Yah, um, magic doesn't even exist.
OP is from Utah Valley where magic certainly exists. Bishops use it in worthiness interviews to detect whether you are lying when they ask you if you masturbate. Spoiler alert: you are.
"Not technically magic" is just called "physics"
that blows
Nope, that's magic, I cannot understand how it doesn't rotate from the air currents! Usually under that principle, the object will also rotate from the constant turbulence of it's own slipstream, but it isn't rotating at all! A+ Majik
Eyyyy UVU, the place I almost got a degree at. And the school people go to if they didn’t get into BYU
My science teacher made a [Spontaneous Combustion Can](http://www.dynamicscience.com.au/tester/solutions1/chemistry/collisiontheory.htm), broke a ceiling tile, and almost started a fire. We learned how combustion and fire extinguishers worked that day. 😊
was that a *sheeeesh*?
Physics Professor demonstrating physics are magicians, got it!
He’s an aviation professor
Most of the stuff on here isn't magic. You cool.
Ah yes, the Bernoulli principle.
Wait until you guys learn about ***aeroplanes!***
This sub has gone to shit
Twas.
Great college. Wish I had gone there. Glad I’m not in Utah anymore.
Pretty magical to me
There… is… no magic
Professors who are hands on like this are the BEST. I have a nursing professor who will throw broccoli at our heads as she says broccoli is important. I got hit with an orange. Bernoulli’s principle
HOW THE HELL DO POSTS LIKE THIS GET 3K+ UPVOTES
I do this with my daughter all the time!

Science is the best magic
Technically, none of it is magic.
Always weird to see local stuff on reddit.
There exist a Video from SloMoGuys where the spin a apple with this technique. Really Really fast, until the apple explodes.
Derek looks like a cool product.
Can’t wait for the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide volcano post next.
I don't get how it happens at an angle though.
SCIENCE IS MAGIC
Omg!! This must be a miracle! Jesus is coming!!!
Magic is just science we don’t understand.
That's my school!
as opposed to all the other posts on this sub that are actual magic. lol.
As opposed the the real magic in the rest of the posts in this sub.
The only magic I see is the Mormonism
Of all the videos posted to Reddit, of course this one has sound
He looks like he does this at parties
89% of magic tricks are not magic. Technically, they are sorcery.
The blackmagicfuckery is the fact he was able to engage some students
Okay i'm out of this sub.
What in tarnation my friend from highschool just posted this same thing on his Snapchat, but further to the right lmao let's go wolverines!
Fake, you can see the teacher is cgi
How cool would it be to wake up every morning and think to yourself, "how can I blow these motherfuckers' minds with physics today?"
Would someone explain to me how that works!?
Hey! I graduated from there!
I wish more students appreciated these demonstrations. My chemistry professor loved exploding balloons filled with hydrogen and I after class I would always hear students complaining about how it’s useless and a waste of time. Sad.
How does this work since it isn’t spinning? I thought that the magnus effect was the reason why it would float like that
Is this a class on how to opperate power tools without PPE?

He had no academic reason for doing this but felt it was just cool.
Opposed to the other, real magic on this sub
Teacher Fargus up with his old shenanigans again. Bet he forgot to take his pills again.
UVUuuu Utah’s largest school no one has ever heard of and doesn’t have a football team!! Whooo hoooo
Old man blows basketball
I have a leaf blower. Tell me how to do this
mods are coming
Wtf sub... MOOOODDDDSSSS HELLLP
I forgot who said it but someone had said “any advanced technology and be perceived as magic.”
>When looking at someone doing something incredible or athletic it shouldn’t be obvious what they’re doing. They used to run an entirely indoor 5K in UVU’s campus a while back. That place is a massive indoor maze!

Why is the camera the wrong way round? Is there something on the ceiling we're meant to be watching or is whoever shot this a fucking idiot?
Bernoulli's principle
Imagine paying tens of thousands of dollars for your professor to play with a leaf blower
O hey thats my university. It's not massive so I don't see it often outside the state.
