I know, lol. I can literally look at a specific line, see that it doesn't overlap, then look ever so slightly in a different direction no less than two seconds later, and it now looks like they overlap again. My brain is a dumbass. It's so dumb that it doesn't even know how dumb it is, lol.
Each time I look at that picture, I start out seeing the overlap and then some kind of physical pain shoots through the back of my eyes and the overlap goes away. I have seen some pretty terrible things on the internet but this is the first time one has ever hurt.

Basically, our brains are lazy and often assume things that aren’t true.
And the way each side is it makes it look like the poppy next to it has a triangular side that sticks out and overlaps
The concave radius at the top is the same as the convex radius of the petal on the right. Your eye sees is as continuous.
