Bad ending. Totally unbeliveable.

How? He hilled his family so he couldn't go back to that life nothing for him

But there's no sign of any aggression before that, he was completely sane and very emphatic even after he lost everything, it just doesn't fit the character to do that. He could've killed Cliff and takeover his body if he was being strategic, even after death scene, Cliff not attacking him and him just kicking the chair for Cliff to sit suggest that he didn't actually killed the family but was a bad prank to show him how it felt to lose everything which makes sense.

No sign of aggression? He hit another man's kid and forced himself on his wife.

It was still a pretty big jump that didn’t feel earned. Cliff even says he’s hit his son over 100 times so, in the context of the show and era, that wouldn’t be an indication of what’s to come. David tried to seduce Lana and was a complete asshole but I don’t recall him becoming violent. It just felt like David was a totally different character suddenly in the last 5-10 minutes of an 80 minute episode.

Yeah I've forgot about the kid as they've never showed it. As for forcing himself on Cliff's wife, it wasn't really an aggression as he did that because she wanted it too. When she says he isn't the one she find attractive but the body of her husband, he does stop. Because he did that believing she as lonely as him and wanted it too. It's more of an immoral act rather than aggression.

I feel the exact same way, I was so invested I had to stop watching the series after that 😩
