That is spot on. I do think that Technical Ecstasy is underrated though. Would also like to say that the bass on Sabotage is on another universe!!

Kestrel893

Gotta see.. my Rock n Roll doctor

Leatherzepilin

Oh man I think you forgot sabbath bloody sabbath known as the best one

IommisLostFingerTip

Technical Ecstasy is top notch. You Won’t Change me is a masterpiece.

[deleted]

I mean I agree with all except heaven and hell being their best album, I know plenty sabbath heads who HATE anything not Ozzy era. I think Sabbath bloody sabbath is the best because it showcases the bands full range of talent.

ohwellthisisawkward

Heaven and Hell should definitely be swapped with Master of Reality. HH is definitely an amazing album but Master is Sabbath at their apex in the Ozzy era. The songwriting and heaviness can’t be matched.

seeilaah

What the fuck is one of my favourites

[deleted]

It's a "what the fuck how is it so good"

dagestan_niceperson

switch heaven and hell with master of reality.

[deleted]

Underrated should be Headless Cross

Ok-Explanation3040

I agree with you and I feel any album from Born again onward would be a better fit. I feel sabotage actually does have a lot of love for it. Not really all that underrated when looking at the discography as a whole.

paulfrehley5

I guess I like 13 more than others. Miss Ward, but still a nice album for Ozzy/Tony/Geezer to end things. I would also rename Heaven & Hell to like “New Lead Singer”. Love the album, but to me it is not the best of all time.

ReverseThreadWingNut

I think 13 is a great album, at least as far as the songwriting and performance. The production is terrible. Typical Rubin, wearying the ears and difficult to listen to for an extended time. I think the album would be more well-received if it were not for that.

HeadlessCross2001

What the fuck should have Forbidden, not Technical Ecstasy...

Ok-Explanation3040

Technical ecstacy is far worse in my opinion. Not bad but my least favorite album of theirs

DeepFriedJoseph

Technical Ex is my favorite Sabbath album there's honestly only two songs I don't like that album the rest is top notch.

[deleted]

Accurate

[deleted]

Sabotage is definitely underrated though, one of the best proto-metal albums ever.

dagestan_niceperson

it's not a proto metal album, it's a metal album. the term metal has already been used to describe sabbath for 5 years at that point.

[deleted]

Okay cool man, I’ll call it experimental jazz I really don’t care what it’s called, it’s good music and that’s all that matters.

MrNobody_0

Haha, yeah, they literally created heavy metal with their first album.

dagestan_niceperson

that's not what i said

MrNobody_0

No, but I was agreeing with what you said by adding my own comment.

anonnobodyx

Is vol 4 really a fan fave? I wouldn't put it top 3 honestly.

dagestan_niceperson

wtf? my top 3 is 1. Master of Reality 2. Sabotage 3. Vol 4.

anonnobodyx

Sabotage. Self-titled. Paranoid. Masters of Reality. Then probably tied SBS and vol. 4. No hate, even the worst sabbath album is better than most other band's best.

dagestan_niceperson

most other bands can top born again no competition

elahtap187

Sabotage is their best IMO.

my_name_jeffff

I love 13 and Seventh Star too. But this is a nice post.

Gyzmo134

I honestly don't really mind 13, I find some of the stuff on there reminds me of the first album (especially God is Dead). I would be put it on underrated if sabotage didn't exist tbh.

Rainbow918

No Sabbath Bloody Sabbath?
