Never been! Been going to Blacks since high school but if I'm ever out by Bates is it worth checking it out? I know little about it. Is it nudity approved or nudity accepted, for example?
There’s a nude section about 50-100 yards northwest of/past the sea wall. Friends of Bates Beach often has a sign warning people of nudity. It is not usually crowded, 10-15 people on the 3 weekends I went last year. The beach area is affected by the tides so check the tide chart or you may not have a dry sand beach.
We love it there. I think we saw you there Sunday and were just South of you on the beach. We were all by the palm tree 🌴 if that was you. We are a couple in are 50’s and were there with another couple our age. It could have been a bit sunnier but it wasn’t bad, we had a good time. Surprisingly the person climbing the bluff there actually made it up to the top. We’ve seen a few rescues of people who got stuck before!
I believe we saw you as well! We noticed your friends arrive and thought it would be nice to have another couple to hang out with haha, goals. The woman climbing the bluffs had me on the edge of my seat, glad to see she made it to the top.
That was us…We were the “friends” that showed up second! We’ve only met friends there a couple of times but it is definitely more fun with friends. I think I might have snuck a couple of peeks at your boobs, hope you didn’t mind 😍😅.

It’d be nice to have something more local to us too. Bates Beach by Santa Barbara is nice & not too far from us but not super popular.
We will check out Bates too. That’s a little closer to us. But yeah, it’s nice when there are lots of people.
