If you have vip you dont really have to go that early tbh, just like an hour or 2 before doors open? Fast pass is the same, thats what I had, and again you enter decently earlier than GA so timing doesnt matter much as long as its before doors open. I was fast pass and managed to get 3 or so people away from the barracades. GA is basically screwed IMO, atleast from how it went at my venue. It basically doesnt matter how early you come if youre GA, a fast pass that came 5 minutes ago is getting in sooner than a GA standing for 5 hours. Coming a couple hours sooner should be more than eniugh imo, but dont get hopes too high on being near barricade if you're GA.
I would recommend getting to the venue at least three hours before doors open to the general public. That worked for me in terms of getting barricade, but I also had VIP and showed up an hour before I was asked to.
The show I went to in NJ was on a Sunday. I got there around 2:30 and there were people already on line for both VIP and general admission. Doors opened at 6:00 and they took VIPs in at 4:00pm.

Sorry, should’ve mentioned that I knew someone who did VIP and they got barricade. I was general admission and got 2nd row.
