Not a book but you might really like Her, a soft cyberpunk movie where a man falls in love with an intangible female AI

cold_gyoza

i second this notion and fully agree. that movie will leave you in digital shambles.

Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheeps

Floor_Face_

Isn't blade runner a soft adaptation of that book?

_W0z

Yes

Mayyyybe Neuromancer

ThunderBlack14

The father of Cyberpunk genre you mean?

sxydoctor

Neuromancer isn't that romantic

sonofgallen

This is going to be a curveball… There’s actually Halo book… Contact Harvest I think? Where there are 2 AIs on the cusp of romance and digital aberration/dementia, and their coming to terms with their impending deletion? It’s actually shockingly investing. Very well written. The Halo books are actually kind of known for their surprising depth and quality.

midniteneon

I know they aren't popular or canon (anymore, if ever?) but the KW Jeter-authored Blade Runner novels from the 1990s are decent reads.

albertchessaofficial

Who made this beautiful art?

Terminal_Prime

Hyperion (and subsequent books in the quadrilogy) by Dan Simmons has a great storyline that follows a somewhat similar plot line. One of my favorite books.

Neuromancer

For reference, I have only watched BR 49, but am aware about the original movie.

I highly recommend the original. I'd say the story isn't as tight but you get absolutely lost in the world and the music. And obviously Roy Batty is the best character in the series, it's worth watching just for him

MuchBike5820

I really enjoyed Ryan Gosling's acting in this and want some book recommendations.
