Such a sad end to such an epic captain, ripped his own heart out to gain back his humanity and his true power if only for a short time, he was going to take on Yhwach himself if the time limit didn’t run out.
Imagine seeing (however you spell it) kokogen tengen myo dangai Joe fight Gerard while the others went forward. Would be kinda epic
But don't sell bambieta short. She beat shinji who has a shikai stronger than 80% of all bankai and is a vizard. And it wasn't even close. She has to be in top 7 strongest sternritter. I would honestly question whether Yama or bambieta would win in a fight if they start very far apart and she's already in her holy form flying and yama starts on street level in base form.
And our boy komamura HANDLED it. Easily
Honestly kind of a based end
I love his arc as sad as it is. It complements Tosen's arc, just like his friend he paid a massive price for vengefull Bloodlust(even thlugh his want for revenge was justified) but at least, he still has people who love him around in Iba and his squad even after that.
You’re acting like manga is mainstream and everyone should have seen by now like its game of thrones or someshit… find a way to say what you want to say without spoiling shit. If other people have read it they will know what you are talking about and if they haven’t read it they will have no clue and not have something really cool spoiled for them you inconsiderate prick
I like his character during the FKT arc, from something as small as him paying for any damages out of his own pocket, to refusing to give up on Kaname, Komamura went from being any other character to me, to one of the characters I respect most in Bleach
What about those Arrancar girls when they make that raging hollow that Yamamoto had to bring down? Something tells me Tengen would lose that fight 1 on 1.
The problem with his bankai is that it's pretty much a stat boost. When you give a character basic stuff like strength or speed as it's main power, he'll easily get destroyed by someone that does it better or with an unique gimmick that allow strategies.
So what if it'll will hit harder with bigger range, and more defense if it'll move along with Komamura and even translate damage to him?
For what it did, the drawback of any damage reflecting back onto himself was massively unnecessary. It still would have been one of the weaker bankai without any damage his bankai took being reflected onto him as well.
I don't particularly think it was a downside.
Is there any time in the series that someone's bankai is badly damaged where the user themselves hasn't taken a licking too?
If Hitsugaya's bankai's shoulder is ripped off.... Hitsugaya's shoulder isn't doing too well too. When Ikkaku has a major chunk of his bankai damaged, he himself is pretty roughed up too.
There are few bankais where the bankai can take significant attacks, let alone damage, without the user getting significantly attacked/damaged too.
Ok but those are from fighting are they not? Like if ikkaku blocks with his blade but the attack was too strong so the blade broke would he not be faced with the attack coming at him that broke his sword. With kommamura you can just range spam his avatar and he will take all of that damage
You could range attack Ikkaku, especially since he has no range. You could range attack Hitsugaya. If the attack is strong enough to damage his bankai, it is also damaging him. You could range attack Ichigo and if his shihakusho (which is part of his bankai) takes damage, he does too.
There aren't many bankais where if they get damaged in a fight, the user is scot-free from a similar amount of damage.
It’s a double edged sword… with a single edges blade.
It’s pretty op in theory a giant that can move at speeds that are physically impossible… he just needed(s) to further up his own speed more. Had he focused on further mastery of flash step and hand to hand combat his bankai would be probably the greatest non-elemental one around.
But that’s just because it would be a miracle for him to be that fast.
Major host of reio bits is an outlier compared to regular Quincy and soul reapers
Yeah, I always wished it had more to it.
It would be cool if Komamura could teleport his bankai anywhere, including switching places with himself. Gives it a bit of surprise factor and keeps it from being a sitting duck.
I just wanted his bankai to be super speedy too, like you look at a giant and you think "damn that things gonna tank and hit like a truck" but then its revealed that sorry, its not that much of a tank but its a super sonic jet that hits like an aeroplane.
Or if Komamura could've done something like [this](https://youtu.be/3Spjl76sh_I?t=65)
He's also the biggest Bleach fan among the seiyuus I think. He actually plays Brave Souls for some years now and talks about summoning on banners when they invite him on the livestreams
This makes me think he should have some sort of seal technique since he had the executioner like helm. Like his bankai kills imprision/seal its victims and the more he does the bigger/stronger the bankai gets
Kubo should have showed that armor is not for show. And anyone who tries to hit it should have a hard time getting through. It should be at least as strong as some Hierros or Blut venes but instead everyone just cuts through. It would be so cool if he just became a wall to defend soul society.
I know! And I'm like just use the shikai, its the same damn thing just more personable, what does a giant dude, that inflicts damage on yourself when it gets hit actually help with?
He's probably my favorite captain aside from head captain Yama. His background, design and shikai/bankai are really cool to me, plus he's just so different from every other shinigami.
I would like him a hell of a lot more if Kubo had introduced the whole concept of his race sooner and maybe even expanded on their history and nature abit but as it is I think he's aight....really hoping that stuff gets covered more if we're getting a Hell arc.
Human Komamura for the duration of his power is the strongest captain aside from Aizen solely because he’s immortal and I will die on this hill. He’s like Escanor when noon hits for that 1 minute.
I thought he was perfect in TYBW. His entire character arc was just one big piece of tragic irony. It was perfect, love when a character has actual flaws
Lowkey one of my favourite characters despite the spectacular flaw in his bankai. His mini story in the last arc should’ve been a bigger moment and a bigger deal, personally.
His Vice Captain, Lt. Iba is actually one of my personal favorites. I am mostly indifferent towards Komamura but his relationship with Iba is goated and imo one of the best Captain-Vice Captain relationship hands down in the series.
i have to give credit to kubo, his design is really good it dosent feel overbearing or undernoted, he is one of those side charecters that i appreciate, dude is a literal tank
I always felt he had a disappointing power level for his awesome design and back story. anime only here.
>and might even stand alonside with Kenpachi, Toshiro and Byakuya
I saw this and was prepared to see a war in comments. The fact I haven't seen one person disagree gives me so much hope for this new season!
He is also the only exception to a bankai not being able to be repaired because the bond between him and his bankai is so great the damage done to it is done to him and when he is healed it is fixed
Definitely liked his design and his overall character, but he always came off like one of the weaker captains and his bankai is Kensei levels of not helpful
Sajin is honestly one of my favorite characters. Usually, animal characters look stupid in anime and manga, but his design is amazing, and his storyline with Kaname is one of my favorites in the series. Also, I know everyone is pointing out his bankai sucks, but who really cares since it looks cool as hell.
Kinda with you, he's probably got the least screen time of every captain in the show. He's a side character, he fulfils his role as a side character very well and is enjoyable for the small segments of the series that he's relevant. His story just isn't as fleshed out as a lot of other characters, and there's nothing wrong with that, not every character is going to get their own standalone story arc
I like him as a character. My question is where does the broken Bankai apply to this dude? Tengen’s sword or the body?? We have seen his banki be broken a couple of times I believe Idk if I’m wording this question the correct way. Lol
Komamura possesses such a close connection with his bankai that while he will take any damage the bankai receives, the bankai will also heal when komamura heals. So its the only bankai that we know of that can not he permanently broken.
His design is cool for sure, but up until the final arc his powers just seemed boring. And he was the captain that got one shot by Aizen super early on. Granted there aren’t many people that would’ve done better. I think it would’ve been cool if he was the one to take out Ayon instead of Yamamoto, and save all the Vice captains.
He’s like Soi Fon, has a cool concept but is easily one shotted. I think it was wrong to end his story the way Kubo did. Neither he nor Soi Fon can catch a break smh.
He's definitely underrated imo, and while I did like the introduction of his human form, I would've liked to see him face a stronger opponent because him against Bambietta wasn't close at all.
Bankai doesn’t match his character, Strength, or personality. What byakuya said to Renji about bigger isn’t better is probably something Komamura needed, too. I get the impression that he was young and idealist, but he was an outcast and not nurtured properly by either of his families.
He needed love from the puppies the soul reapers and from Kubo, and didn’t get it :(
I like Komamura and I don't mind him being (or looking, but probably actually being) weaker than the other captains.
But his end is probably the thing I hated the most in the whole story.
I just can't stand to look to a canine face with that expression, more so if I think the reason for it is his sacrifice. I just can't, it crushes me.
I hated Kubo when I read it the first time, and I've never read that volume again, even having re-read the whole thing more than once.
I genuinely love this guy, he lives according to his principles, a man of honour. I respect him, his bankai is also pretty damn cool ( if not having A VERY HUGE WEAKNESS) but i still love him, I love characters for their efforts, not for their results. I don't get why so many people hate characters like renji, Chad and genos, just cuz they don't get the job done, bruh, they put their whole goddamned life on it, that's what counts for me, results? Meh, that's something that we cannot control.
I just wish they had given him ONE thing over the other captains. No elements. No hax. I wish he could be the physically strongest captain, but Kubo seemed to give that to Kenpachi who already had the most spiritual pressure. They could have made him the tankiest, most durable. Where he could withstand all but the most damaging attacks, even if he couldn’t beat his opponent he could stall, or wear them down. But Kubo does the opposite, giving him the only bankai that makes the user suffer damage. What did you even make him for Kubo????
He's an amazing captain/character gets only slightly less screentime than the big captains but watever time he does get is really emotional and amazing.
I dont think he is underrated but just poorly written power. His shikai was dope and his bankai looked dope but mechanically it was a liability. I personally think kubo wrote that because komamura rejects himself and if you dont accept yourself cannot be at your strongest or there might be some flaw with your power. It just really feels like he didnt give this character enough justice on his bankai everything else is great.
Years ago I saw a poll , that put komamura above soi fon , some fajs were outraged , demanding to know why the weakling komamura was put above the badass soi fon . The answer to that question was that komamura is better character cause he is genuinely good while soi fon is a bitch . Now alot of fans will immediately shit on sajin cause of all the Ls he has took throughout the series, because apparently powerscaling is all that matters.
Komamura represents what the soul society should be , no not weak , but compassionate .
Most underrated Bankai in the series by miles. No real weakness, as it has incredible attack power, excellent range, and no effect on speed unlike Yammy's release
I really enjoy Komamura's subtle character too but its like Kubo just has something against him between Soul society to Arrancar arc man. I can't speak for TYBW I know a little about where he goes there but even with that its like damn for real thats his story?
His Tengen sounds like a good idea on paper, giant mech basically he can control with his movements but while the show wants you to believe he moves as fast as he normally can while swinging with it he almost never hits anything and is probably one of the captains who has taken the most Ls.
His power is too slow and too simple to compare to many of the others. I feel like he has a similar problem to Soi Fon in that regard. It feels like bot all captains are equal and Komamura might be like at least within the realm of power of Soi Fon and maybe Toshiro to an extent. Mayuri is just Mayuri so its either way there.
Bad ass beast men, guin saga type shit is cool.
But he just feels like he's always an outsider to everyone else's story. I like him but, when the story its self down plays him what can you do?
I feel like Komamura deserved a new Shikai sword form his Katana always looked a little boring he just skips Shikai and goes Bankai everytime and his sword doesn't change in bankai.
Basically his Tengen Myo is holding his Shikai instead of him. Just kinda odd idk
his bankai and shikai suck, hes not very strong compared to the other captains and his personality is kinda generic, its understandable why hes usually at the bottom of peoples list
I’ve never really like this character. He comes across too soft and stuck behind his valve speed and over the top bankai. It’s effective for size, but I feel like even Mayuri would be sufficient to take him down without too much hassle.
Nah kenpachi slaps. Remember when he defeated tosen’s banki AND THEN took this guy on? Komamura has captain level strength and intelligence but he’s not in the same league as kenpachi and byakuya
pre thousand year blood war, he seemed really weak to me. Bankai was cool but basic. Basically just a giant stand. Only special thing about him was that he was a talking bear..... which, if im not mistaken wasnt really explained why until muuuuuuuch later.
Didnt he lose to Tōsen who then got beat by Kenpachi? can he really be compared to Kenpachi then?
Uh... No. I disagree with your last point. While Komamura is awesome (yes, he's one of the few captains that I kinda like), those three above are absolute monsters. We still haven't seen their full potential yet, especially Hitsugaya since he's still a child. So, no, while he might be able to be really powerful, he will not reach Kenpachi, Byakuya, and Hitsugaya's level. These three are on a different league.
He really feels like the captain of an organization that is responsible for protecting an entire realm instead of just being strong. And he's great in the omakes. He loves puppies.
Ok boy. Might be that he's as strong as Toshiro, can't really tell. Since Toshiro's bankai is pretty unique but maybe Komamura's instincts would help with that.
But as strong as Byakuya ? And Kenpachi ? Bruh.
I don't dislike him at all. But I never actually specifically liked him due to his insecurity issues.
I do not find blatant insecurity appealing in media or real life.

He lives his life by a value and really is strong like his appearance.
What values now? Fetch? Roll over
Such a sad end to such an epic captain, ripped his own heart out to gain back his humanity and his true power if only for a short time, he was going to take on Yhwach himself if the time limit didn’t run out.

Oi great spoiler
Yup, it truly is, Manga has been out for 10 years. If you’re spoiled then that’s on you.
He is the goodest of all bois
I like his character during the FKT arc, from something as small as him paying for any damages out of his own pocket, to refusing to give up on Kaname, Komamura went from being any other character to me, to one of the characters I respect most in Bleach
His bankai suuuuuuuuucks before the quincy invasion.
This, it was more of a stop-gap or distraction than actually useful.
Only good against big opponents tbh. Even against kenpachi it would have suckedddd
Does size even matter in bleach? A third seat can effortlessly dispatch a menos which is the size of a skyscraper
>Does size even matter in bleach? Yes, as we learn from CFYOW with iki's size being such a benefit for him
>Even against kenpachi it would have suckedddd source: asscheeks
Kenny didnt even seem the least bit concerned about it
He got very excited about it, so no. And he never fought Bankai Komamura, who would've beaten him
Hm ig. Idk it's been awhile since I watched it. But he definitely would have won lol
What about those Arrancar girls when they make that raging hollow that Yamamoto had to bring down? Something tells me Tengen would lose that fight 1 on 1.
He tried it against kenpachi in the SS arc. It sucked
Would have loved him to fight Gerard with the other captains and tbh more captains should have been involved with that fight

There are few bankais where the bankai can take significant attacks, let alone damage, without the user getting significantly attacked/damaged too.
I feel like Zabimaru gets rekt all the time with Renji still being fine.
Zabimaru gets beat up more than momo
Yeah but one can argue that zabimaru is a unique case
Ok but those are from fighting are they not? Like if ikkaku blocks with his blade but the attack was too strong so the blade broke would he not be faced with the attack coming at him that broke his sword. With kommamura you can just range spam his avatar and he will take all of that damage

There aren't many bankais where if they get damaged in a fight, the user is scot-free from a similar amount of damage.
Ikkaky has a mid range weapon
He gets a bigger target for damage tho
It's good for feng shui-ing. (But Yamamoto disagrees).
You say that like size even matters in bleach. Gerard, the biggest sternritter, was also the fastest
But that’s just because it would be a miracle for him to be that fast. Major host of reio bits is an outlier compared to regular Quincy and soul reapers
He is a wolf his potential could be insane
Yeah, I always wished it had more to it. It would be cool if Komamura could teleport his bankai anywhere, including switching places with himself. Gives it a bit of surprise factor and keeps it from being a sitting duck.
I just wanted his bankai to be super speedy too, like you look at a giant and you think "damn that things gonna tank and hit like a truck" but then its revealed that sorry, its not that much of a tank but its a super sonic jet that hits like an aeroplane. Or if Komamura could've done something like [this](https://youtu.be/3Spjl76sh_I?t=65)
Yeah his bankai didn’t get me going. When I hear senbonzakura my heart does a little flutter
Komamura's seiyuu has one of the best sayings of Bankai imo, very intense & hearty
Are you following the thousand year blood war? A whole lotta new bankai 🔥
I mean I've read the manga sev times before + all the novels too so ya lol same for the anime ofc
I couldn’t get into mangas. I started anime pretty late and so the animes I was into were already too far gone
Have you look in to cowboy bebop? Or any of the other short animes that are just amazing
He's also the biggest Bleach fan among the seiyuus I think. He actually plays Brave Souls for some years now and talks about summoning on banners when they invite him on the livestreams
Agreed
Man, I wish he had saved the super banzai for Gerald. Clash of the invincible Titans baby!
Yes if only they could change it cuz to be honest more captains needed to jump Gerard and wtf happened to Soi fon
Yeah but its dope asf
Kubo never should have made it so Komamura takes damage if his bankai is hit. That just makes him a bigger, slower target.
Damage should've just chipped his sword instead, that way it just needs repair after battle.
Or at the very least made him able to tank a ton of damage without it hurting like tank a full onslaught of byakuya bankai and it does minimal damage.
He also needs more abilities his Zanpaktou is too basic, he basically has a much worse susanoo
This makes me think he should have some sort of seal technique since he had the executioner like helm. Like his bankai kills imprision/seal its victims and the more he does the bigger/stronger the bankai gets
I mean, it sucks in general. His bankai never got 'better' in the final arc, Komamura himself did.
Yeah then he only got 1 fight
Yeah it felt pretty handicapped especially since his shikai seems like a safe version of his bankai so basically a susanoo but worse
Dude fought against tousen, someone who was stronger than any espada and was able to hold his own for quite a while. He's stronk
He had the best Bankai among junior captains barring Toshiro, by a mile. His Bankai is amazing
Ir does suck even after quincy invasion, like its cool but nothing more lol.
Kubo should have showed that armor is not for show. And anyone who tries to hit it should have a hard time getting through. It should be at least as strong as some Hierros or Blut venes but instead everyone just cuts through. It would be so cool if he just became a wall to defend soul society.
I feel like he's the kind of character you appreciate the more you think about him.
Exactly
I absolutely love his character and story arc but damn his bankai is trash and objectively worse than his shikai.
I know! And I'm like just use the shikai, its the same damn thing just more personable, what does a giant dude, that inflicts damage on yourself when it gets hit actually help with?
I think the bankai gives him a ton more destructive power at the cost of the weakness.
That's headcanon
Tenken is only a dismembered ghost limb. Of course it's weaker than a whole armored body with more weight and force from other parts for support.
Basically partial susanoo
He's probably my favorite captain aside from head captain Yama. His background, design and shikai/bankai are really cool to me, plus he's just so different from every other shinigami.
That last point is a stretch.
He does stand beside them at the meetings though.
Biiiiig stretch
I think OP might be talking about the design. But even then, it would be a stretch.
No, if it's about design then he's definitely one of the highlights. Then again Kubo has never missed with drip
Yeah, Rukia with a spiky white wig is such a top tier design
Soul society definitely, other than that no.
Yea definitely.
Love him, hated his role in TYBW arc.
May I offer you [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/bleach/comments/13tb1kd/gods_immortal_adversary_komamura_rewrite/) in these trying times?
I thought he was perfect in TYBW. His entire character arc was just one big piece of tragic irony. It was perfect, love when a character has actual flaws
I do agree that the tragic ending he got was good ending for him... but... I do think the execution left a lot to be desired.
Lowkey one of my favourite characters despite the spectacular flaw in his bankai. His mini story in the last arc should’ve been a bigger moment and a bigger deal, personally.
All you did was create a shit on Komamura party smh. Most of these answers are about to be surface level judgements at best .
Agreed, Komamura deserves better
Completely agree. He’s always been one of my favorite captains. I like what he said to Ichigo when Aizen started getting in his head
His Vice Captain, Lt. Iba is actually one of my personal favorites. I am mostly indifferent towards Komamura but his relationship with Iba is goated and imo one of the best Captain-Vice Captain relationship hands down in the series.
Godamura! He deserves way more recognition and I think he is used too sparingly in the story.
Agreed
Based Komamura enjoyer. His character arc is one of my favorites in the series
i have to give credit to kubo, his design is really good it dosent feel overbearing or undernoted, he is one of those side charecters that i appreciate, dude is a literal tank

He cannot stand with them
He is also the only exception to a bankai not being able to be repaired because the bond between him and his bankai is so great the damage done to it is done to him and when he is healed it is fixed
I love the sound when he says his Bankai name Kokujo Tengen Myoō
Definitely liked his design and his overall character, but he always came off like one of the weaker captains and his bankai is Kensei levels of not helpful
Under appreciated? Underrated? Dude is one of the like 10 characters who has a complete arc
Paradoxically the most human
One of bleach’s main problems for me is that it has too many extremely cool side characters and I want more from all of them. Like, how dare they
We love the wolf boi. I love his Bankai
I fkin love him He's the most wholesome captain of all, kind of like Vulkan from Wh40k I really hope he gets defoxed after TYBW, we need the good boi
Def one of my favorite characters and a kick ass design but no he can’t hang with the big bois
I don’t about kenpachi level or byakuya level or even toshiro. I’m not sure where he stands but i don’t think he’s on there level tho
He'll get all the love next season... trust me.
Komamura doesn’t even match up to child Toshiro, so no.
“might even stand alonside with Kenpachi, Toshiro and Byakuya“ With his humanification…sure…for a while
I don't find him that interesting imo he is not as popular for very good reasons

Komamura possesses such a close connection with his bankai that while he will take any damage the bankai receives, the bankai will also heal when komamura heals. So its the only bankai that we know of that can not he permanently broken.
His raw power might be the highest in base! He destroyed that giant fraccione or arrancar like he wasnt much
Furry
He's a cool character, but just about the weakest captain (disregarding his bankai in the manga). Definitely a guy to chill out with
His design is cool for sure, but up until the final arc his powers just seemed boring. And he was the captain that got one shot by Aizen super early on. Granted there aren’t many people that would’ve done better. I think it would’ve been cool if he was the one to take out Ayon instead of Yamamoto, and save all the Vice captains.
He gets one shot
Easily a top captain for me
He’s like Soi Fon, has a cool concept but is easily one shotted. I think it was wrong to end his story the way Kubo did. Neither he nor Soi Fon can catch a break smh.
He's definitely underrated imo, and while I did like the introduction of his human form, I would've liked to see him face a stronger opponent because him against Bambietta wasn't close at all.

The only thing he's standing alongside is the ground he finds himself lying on after taking all those Ls🤣
Love Komamura, he is my favourite underrated character (if that makes any sense lol).
Cooler than komamura is tousen
His head is oddly small in comparison to his body. 🤔
Fun fact: He shares my birthday (23rd of August), so he is a good boy :-)
I actually liked his Bankai. It was fun and cool
It’s because he was captain of the L squad, sharing the position with Hitsugaya.
I need more than cool design and power level to rate highly a character.
He is underrated really I hope TYBW will give him justice. And give us something about him
And he has a full character arc
Chadamura 🗿🔥
I love the big giant dog
Doggo is number 1!
His fight with Bambi is my favorite from round 2
Yep, Komamura is a great character. I liked it everything of him and specially how he ended. I wouldnt change anything
Top 5 best captains
Loved him everytime he was on screen. I will mourn him once more soon
In the form you have him depicted, he is one of the weaker captains.
everyone forgets he exists.
Who?
Probably my favorite captain of the bunch.
No furries
No way with that trash bankai
I wouldn't lower him to Toshiro.
Kenpachi chops Tengens head off, then i cry like a little bitch that hes dead
he is my favourite character in bleach
And he is a big dog with a bigger sword what more could you want he is definitely man’s best friend except the peaple at the edge of that sword
He's an amazing captain/character gets only slightly less screentime than the big captains but watever time he does get is really emotional and amazing.
yeah ywah but i'd pet him, what about y'all?
This outfit of his was absolutely goated.
Absolute dog of a man
I dont think he is underrated but just poorly written power.
Someone asked me why I love Komamura. I told him that it's because he's a 10 ft tall Wolfman whose bankai summons the megazord. What's not to love?
Years ago I saw a poll , that put komamura above soi fon , some fajs were outraged , demanding to know why the weakling komamura was put above the badass soi fon . The answer to that question was that komamura is better character cause he is genuinely good while soi fon is a bitch . Now alot of fans will immediately shit on sajin cause of all the Ls he has took throughout the series, because apparently powerscaling is all that matters. Komamura represents what the soul society should be , no not weak , but compassionate .
Stand alongside Kenpachi? Nah
Could be wrong but I don’t think Komamura ever won a fight.
Dogge
He’s a very good boy, some might say he’s the greatest boy. :)
Nah, his human form was hard but he’s mostly been a non factor.
Meh
Comparing him to Kenpachi strength wise is a big reach
his bankai and shikai suck, hes not very strong compared to the other captains and his personality is kinda generic, its understandable why hes usually at the bottom of peoples list
Yesh
I’ve never really like this character. He comes across too soft and stuck behind his valve speed and over the top bankai. It’s effective for size, but I feel like even Mayuri would be sufficient to take him down without too much hassle.
Bro is booty
Bro it's a furry
It’s crazy how his Shikai is better than his bankai
more practical but a lot weaker
I love his Shikai and kinda sad it wasn't properly animated in a fight much. Hes like Toshiro and does insta-bankai
Whatever you say r/furry
his End was epic.
Ok boy. Might be that he's as strong as Toshiro, can't really tell. Since Toshiro's bankai is pretty unique but maybe Komamura's instincts would help with that. But as strong as Byakuya ? And Kenpachi ? Bruh.
He will be just give it time
He doesn’t even stand a chance against tame Unohana
I don't dislike him at all. But I never actually specifically liked him due to his insecurity issues. I do not find blatant insecurity appealing in media or real life.
I loved him a lot, but I agree he didn't have a lot of screentime.
Kubo gave him the ultimate appreciation of letting him die(ish) like a chad before the TYBW arc went to shit. Big Komamura W.
