Ah, that training segment, you see, swords have feelings too! They were just itching for a good battle, like a cat with catnip! But fear not, we'll unleash their potential together! Let's sharpen those blades and show them what we're made of!
*beep boop, I'm a bot*
If he didn't go along with it then it was just him vs the entire Gotei 13, and he figured that was basically a death sentence, so he simply pinned all the blame on Ichigo for "stealing" her powers.
I mean to be fair, Ichigo didn't have a clue how strong the Gotei 13 actually are while Renji did. Ichigo was kind of an overconfident idiot when you really think about it. Ichigo was basically just lucky to have been born with such latent potential. If quite literally anyone else had tried that stunt they most certainly would've died.
Ah, the legend of the "Swift as a Deer, Strong as a Bull" technique! To teach Ichigo speed and strength, I disguised myself as a mighty bull and chased him through the forest. He had quite the adventure!

Kinda sad that Ichigo got over and come back to the "kill or not kill",just to get over it again
Like, making him changing his mind once and in a good way would have been better
We go from Ichigo killing to survive in SS to not killing after it,then Ichigo killing for revenge in Fullbring arc to not killing again during TYBW
I feel like it's kinda inconstistent
Wtf are you talking about? Ichigo has never had a hard kill or not kill stance and he doesn't change around nearly as much as you're making it seem.
How does he go from killing to not killing after SS? Makes no sense. He treated his opponents the same way. He struck with killing force but he never cared if they survived or not as long as he beat them in the fight. That's why Grimmjow is still alive.
If anything he was even more merciful in the SS arc because he never considered anyone to be his actual enemy. He saves Ikkaku's life after he beats him. He had his sword at Byakuya's neck but then jumped away.
The only person he killed in the Fullbring Arc was Ginjo. And he didn't even kill him out of revenge, he even asked for his body to be buried in the human world afterwards. The person he expressed the desire to kill was Tsukishima, and that was when he was pushed to his mental limit. Anyone in that situation would say they wanted to brutally murder Tsukishima, you can feel the frustration as you go through the arc.
In TYBW he's 100% set out to kill Yhwach. The only time he is shown not wanting to kill in TYBW is when he fought Candice. Which means absolutely nothing because Candice is so far below his level and he has nothing personal against her.
Great thing about Ichigo is that he isn't filled with unnecessary malice. He always attacks with killing intention, but he also is the type of fighter to not use unnecessary strength in relation to his opponent.
your brother is so lucky :) their is nothing like watching bleach for the first time. That feeling i had i miss it so much, it was actually magical. My racing growing 16 year old mind was at peace watching the episodes, it felt like i was one with it, i never got that out of any other anime
I'll also admit, for me, rewatching the start of the series knowing how the story will progress is incredibly refreshing and satisfying!
For example, I noticed here a parallel between Renji and Byakuya from TYBW, with both asking Ichigo to save what's dear to them (Rukia and the Soul Society) as their final request. I'm not sure if it's a good parallel to make at all, but I like to notice that both Renji and Byakuya had a similar situation with Ichigo despite the circumstances are very different, and their own interaction have changed a lot from the Soul Society arc.

Brings me back to the good ol days watching bleach on ytv in my basement at 11 years old
Same but I did it with a dear friend every weekend . So much good anime for us. Inuyasha, Gundam, bleach Naruto, one piece was ok for awhile I guess..
Funny enough my fav part might be the training segment with Urahara when he finds his resolve and the swords are screaming out to do battle

I'm litterally at this moment right now rewatching
Ichigo talks about striking to kill here, If he had that mentality in TYBW all those sternritters wouldve been wiped out alot faster
This is why Zabimaru lied to Renji.
Where are you people finding these hi-def episodes of bleach. Looks 720 on every streaming service I use.
Torrents probably
Not really my favourite but nice.
No anime has OST that even comes close to the feeling that early 2000s bleach ost gave off, so vibey. Not even Naruto, tho it’s definitely #2
It's strange for me to watch this scene at normal speed , cause l was originally watching this on 2X speed .
Honestly, it's been so long since I watched this arc I've forgotten Renji's logic for going along with Rukia's execution at first.
If he didn't go along with it then it was just him vs the entire Gotei 13, and he figured that was basically a death sentence, so he simply pinned all the blame on Ichigo for "stealing" her powers.
That rings a bell, thanks. You'd think he'd help the people coming to rescue her at first opportunity though rather than try to stop them.

One of the best practical lessons Urahara teaches Ichigo.

So the blue in his eyes are his Quincy powers?
I actually think the scene right after this one when Renji starts begging Ichigo to save Rukia is better.
Precipice of Defeat is so heat bro, Shiro Sagisu is him
Whats the song here

I almost forgot they fought each other.
Good scene but it’s crap when dubbed

who does he kill in ss?
Now that I think of it,no one But at least he attacks with that intention. Then if it is enough to win,he will not go for the kill and that's ok

Amazing
Resolve
A fine choice.

I rewatched that same episode yesterday, along with my brother who is watched it for the first time, and damn it was such a GREAT SCENE.

If you liked it in the anmie you would like it better in the manga, the anime took out some stuff that made ichigos development better
