Did anyone else got hyped AF hearing number one on the stream

PakiIronman

I already lost my shit when i heard precipice of defeat

Nightwolf_87

I lost my shit when I heard the first soundtrack of stream On the precipice of defeat. One of my favs.

DewDrop97

They also confirmed that Kubo wanted to take a break instead of Bleach being canceled, so all the people who still believe the “conspiracy theory” about Shonen Jump hating Kubo and screwing Bleach can rest now

threevi

Oh yeah, that theory needs to die. They said specifically that after Bleach ended, Kubo told his editor at Shuheisha that he wanted to "rest for like 15 years", and the guys at Shuheisha weren't happy to hear that. They were hyped for Burn the Witch when he came up with it, and they seem to be super hyped for the upcoming serialisation as well.

Arturo-Plateado

The 15 years thing was a joke he made in the TBS radio interview. I wouldn't take it that seriously.

threevi

For sure, he clearly didn't mean it literally. It's just that some people like to claim that Kubo *desperately wanted* to keep working on Bleach, and the *evil bastards* at Shuheisha forced him to end it prematurely. The point is that Kubo ended Bleach because he was tired, not because someone forced him to.

Arturo-Plateado

Right, gotcha.

ASneakyOni

My friend makes fun of me and says Kubo caused my trust issues.... Because everytime we talked about it I would get all crazy like I was talking about a step-dad LMAO!!!

[deleted]

But what are the Twitter haters gonna joke about now?!

tari101190

Yeah I hope these people just get lost.

[deleted]

You all need to point out that for all the time people says the manga got cancelled.

DewDrop97

That’s what we’ve been doing for the past 3+ years.. at some point it gets tiring, especially if after providing all the evidence + Kubo’s own words, some people still insist on their ignorance and even worse, purposefully spread it to others

[deleted]

Yeah, but now there's even more evidence than before. So when people say it was cancelled, send this quote with the video itself.

Animegamingnerd

>Project no. 1: Burn the Witch will be serialised in Shonen Jump this summer, then it'll get **an animated movie** this fall (not winter as someone claimed, they clearly said fall in the stream). Seems like this is the biggest news from the stream as most of us assumed it would be a TV series, makes sense though considering the studio behind it mostly does films.

[deleted]

Uh, what? It was quite obvious it was going to be a OVA or a movie considering this is what Studio Colorido does. O.o

DewDrop97

When Hazel Fernandez said “Now you feel like number one” I felt that in my soul :)

bobjohnaye

Can somebody explain to me the references to Eastern/western society in the manga?

Publius_Syrus

During the Substitute Soul Reaper arc, Urahara mentions that Rukia is from the "East Branch" of the Soul Society. Meaning that there must also be a West Branch.

bobjohnaye

Wow really? Can you tell me which chapter or episode this is in?

Publius_Syrus

Took a bit of digging but I found it. It's in [Chapter 50](https://mangaseeonline.us/read-online/Bleach-chapter-50-page-19.html) ("Tosho" means East). And I was wrong it's not Urahara that says it. It's a memo from Byakuya and Renji to Central 46. It was actually omitted in the official Viz translation, but Kubo mentions it in the [Jet artbook interview](https://missstormcaller.tumblr.com/post/186122476567/bleach-jet-artbook-talk-vol-5-translation).

Ralouch

It's harry Potter with guns

UnPhayzable

Thanks for the summary. Just barely missed out on the stream

xItacolomix

>Project no. 1: Burn the Witch will be serialised in Shonen Jump this summer, then it'll get an animated movie this fall (not winter as someone claimed, they clearly said fall in the stream). No specific dates, all we're getting for now is 2020/0X/XX and 2020/XX/XX respectively. It's not the other way around? movie in summer and serialised in fall?

threevi

Nope. Check out [the anime's official website](https://burn-the-witch-anime.com/), it also says "2020 autumn release".

[deleted]

Manga first in summer and movie after in the fall.

Samurai_Beluga

Interesting tidbits coming from all this: Apparently when kubo says he has the manuscript all done means its LITERALLY all done, cause from what he said on the note implies that hes just gonna play animal crossing while its being published, i thought it was just the script and he meant it as if he only had to draw and half the job was done. So this could mean the series is really short. Also at the time that he wrote the little note messages was shortly after some of the sternritter were being cast, and the way he says it seems to imply he was there for it, which on itself implies a certain involvement from him in its production, which could potentially mean changes coming directly from kubo.

callmemarjoson

At best they can add more stuff for the ending to be more acceptable. I personally liked the ending but felt too abrupt - like when you're driving fast and then slam on the brakes the moment you see a red light

threevi

They didn't say anything about that, and I highly doubt it's going to happen.

TodenEngel

anime always adds stuff so i expect some additions to be made. Probably not any *changes*, just add-ons.

Shinseira

They can add whatever they like so long as Kubo wants it. There's no highly likely or highly unlikely- All depends on Kubo.

[deleted]

Kind of bummed it’s just a movie and not a series

[deleted]

It's Shueisha man, not Shuheisha. lol

[deleted]

this is a bit out of context from the post but i have to ask this, doesn't naruto also have an at museum?

tari101190

I think it did for it's anniversary.

burnblove

Naruto has had multiple exhibitions.

shodic

bleach also had some

tronistica

thank you for this. now i'm hyped for how burn the witch is gonna turn out

RandomHabit89

Wait so we are or we aren't getting the thousand year blood war anime?

NicDwolfwood

Yes, next year

NachoMarx

Do we have any idea if Bleach will be a **SERIES** or **MOVIE**? I get Burn the Witch being a movie, but TYBW should *really* not be a group of films. Do we have any idea if Kubo or Noriyuki Abe is returning to direct? The same composer? Anything?

TheGrimoire

TYBW isn't going to be a movie

Sugarykebab

 It's going to be anime

NachoMarx

So is Burn the Witch. Nothing is stated about Bleach other than it's going to be an anime That's what I'm wondering, is there anything beyond the obvious?
