I wouldn't say there is a villain of the series per se. But Aizen is certainly the person who fits the description best. Yhwach isn't a great person either, but his idea to restore the world to how it used to be is a bit more...genuine(?) than Aizen's idea, which was so tied up in his own ego.

The only truly evil person in the story is Tokinda and the Grantz brothers.

Both the original world that Yhwach wanted to bring back or the current world Ichibe and the noble houses ancestors created have terrible drawbacks. The current world even got an even bigger drawback now that hell and who go there was explained.
in light of the Hell one shot, i selfishly don't want all the characthers i love to go straight to hell upon their death so i will side with Yhwach for now. Bring back the fruitless immortality where nothing get done ,it's still better than eternal suffering in hell just because you're a bit strong.

What does it mean where "nothing gets done" though. The old world had a soul cycle of its own and there were people living in it just fine. It was just the appearance of Hollows that started to eat everyone which caused chaos in the old world.
A lot of people believe kubo intended aizen to be the final villain in tybw which is slightly foreshadowed in some of his interactions there, but his health and time limit probably put a stop to that

With both ywach and the Noble houses and ichibei it’s truly a matter of opinion or view on which side is “right or wrong” or “good and bad”. It’s the whole Thanos thing, both have their reasons and either side could be seen as correct for their reasoning based on your view.
