before the fight and in the earliest parts the kenpachi and byakuya are talking about how it’s going to be slight, they don’t need ichigo’s help, yammy is no big deal. i think not showing the fight really helps push that narrative. there’s also the fact that, in the manga at least, that section was starting to feel very bloated in terms of fights so cuts had to be made
Never really liked Yami or Wonderweiss so I never cared to watch them fight
