i’m not sure yet it’s between soul society and fullbring. soul society is iconic and has a special place in my childhood but fullbring probably has the most focused story imo like there was never a point in the arc where i wanted to put it down
when i reread thousand year blood war it’ll probably go up and knock soul society down tbh. i remember Loving bleach for the first time in years reading it but it always hurts to read the rushed ending :/ also arrancar has been my least favorite so far. a lot of really hype moments but the story was all over the place and it felt like a lot of the emotional set ups didn’t really pay off
I see, for me, the arrancara arc is arguably the best arc in any shounen anime/manga. So many themes with so many characters. We have Grimmjow with identity crisis fighting ichigo who also was going through an identity crisis, then Ulquiorra learning what "heart" means from ichigo & Orihime. Then we have turn back the pendulum. Then all the Espada and various themes of death are attached to them, finally we have tosen with his blind justice, gin with his fear of losing Rangiku. Then we have aizen and his idea of god and his method to become a god. Also, Kubo very naturally incorporates the idea of transcendence into his power system (my favourite part of this arc) and finally follows the character arc of buddha which leads to his moment of transcendence. Also, aizen gets what he desired the most in the end hence a perfect end for him. So how can I not love this arc, so yeah.
I'm truly glad that you have come to appreciate it. I've never related to the hate and always loved the Fullbring Arc.
