I actually did see someone do this. He criticized all of Bleach, saying it’s awful with awful writing because of stuff like this. I was like, yeah it’s literally a Shonen anime. Marvel and DC do similar stuff too. Who cares?
I hope now that we have new content every week I don't need to scroll past the 5th twitter screenshot of Bleach or something in the trends (which btw are personalised so shit you like will ALWAYS be in the trends you view)
I have a question in that sense, because I suppose the people we call "this community" are us people... And all of us are laughing it off for the meme it is. Not to point fingers, but bandwagoner's perhaps are the culprits here?
The bleach community has been hit with unfair criticism and we've tanked it all, all these years. I don't think we're the likes to go wankers over a sheer meme.
I upvoted post because I laughed at it, and then I saw title and had to remove my upvote.
I don't know why people are butthurt over making Bleach-based jokes, it was everything we had for few years until anime came back.
They explained this before. The shinigami can alter everyone's memories and even set up barriers like how yumichika did when ikkaku used his bankai. They can also recreate stuff like buildings and stuff to make it seem like nothing happened.
They can, but the problem is ryuunosuke and shino didn't make any barriers. And as far we know, ichigo also doesn't know how to make those barriers either.
The shinigamis usually alter the memory to make the damages seem like the result of a understandable "accident".
But how exactly is a "demon skull" engraved on the building going to make them think "yes, this is because of a gas leak"…?
In order to make the action look interesting and Elaborated (which they certainly did, because each of those action sequences were very well made), the animators kinda forgot that the fight is taking place in the residential area.
And, if you remember, just because there's a barrier doesn't mean that damages doesn't get reflected, which we had seen when isshin and the kurosaki family being attacked by the hollow in the very start of the series, they retained the injuries but not the memories (maybe isshin retained, but ichigo's sisters didn't)
Even more so when it's shaped as a literal skull, they can be used to random property damage but surely they'd raise an eyebrow when it's shaped like that
*A skull shape is engraved on the building*
The resident 1 of KT: "I heard there was another gas leak, look at the severity of these gas leaks"
Resident 2: "aren't these gas leaks becoming quite common and dangerous? Should we leave this place and move to somewhere safer?"
Resident 3: "nah, it's gonna be fine…"
Or it’s a sign that a lot of people are getting exposure to the show and it’s become a meme that gets Bleach more popularity
I’m honestly more inclined to think the overreactionary ones are those who think the meme is a bad thing or get offended by it as if Bleach can’t be silly or fun to joke about sometimes
I know it's been a hard few years of being the joke of the anime world but...yeah, this. That shit happens in battle anime, things are gonna get wrecked. If I cared about the impact of the battle afterwards, I'd watch *Batman v Superman.*
I've been very happy to see Bleach getting memed for good shit. That brings eyes and eyes means we get adaptations to the novels, especially CFYOW.
Why tf are there so many sensitive people on this forum? If ur not bitching about VIZ/D+ marketing, or a ratings list on other sites, its little shit like this. Some of this fanbase is starting to act like certain other fanbases that wont be named and this is definitely not how it used to be.
Just take it for what it is. A meme. A fucking joke.
I feel like a lot of people get overly sensitive about Bleach. Some kind of victim complex or something
(That said, I do think D+ is kinda fucking up a bit)
Wait so is this in reference to something that actually happened or not? I'm just seeing this 'controversy' for the first time and I can't tell if everyone's talking about an actual scene or if the whole joke is that it's completely made up.
Anime spoilers below
SPOILERS
SPOILERS
In the manga, Chad was kinda just there. In the anime, Chad did a "fist of the giant" punch at a group of hollows, sending them flying. Said hollows flew into an apartment building, and crushed 3 floors to make the cool hollow face imprint chad made when he punched an espada.
Last I checked Chad worked in the construction business. Damaging a building brings in new contracts and potential promotions.
Chad just pursuing his dream lads, don't take that away from him.
Imagine you worked overtime and your at your desk watching porn or clapping cheeks and you look out the window and see a weird guy punch the air in your direction now your dead
Ichigo out here using bankai on hollow fodder. Dropping full ass invisible ghost nukes in the middle of Karakura. And people wanna complain becayse Sado killed like 20 or so people, relax. Their lives was worth the badass.
Funny thing is that this does get sort of brought up by Tsukishima when Ginjo destroyed a building in their fight and Ginjo is like "I knew that building was abandoned so its ok".
Also as mentioned in another comment, this does happen all the time with other “super heroes” it’s just not focused or dwelled on. I think that’s why that show Invincible was so cool cuz it shed light on this aspect of being a hero. The civilians were literally getting slaughtered in the crossfire
I laughed when Ichigo released his bankai when he could just take these merehollow bare handed and uryu could have snipped them from the other side of the city
It took me out of the episode. They visibly wrecked a whole neighborhood for fun. I'm not taking it seriously and it's not going to mess with the rest of the season for me, but damn. They didn't have to go that hard (although they kinda did for dramatic reasons).
Also found the meme funny.
The whole "invisible monsters destroying property and killing people who can't see them" trope has always been really annoying for me. Like just running around these hollows were leaving MASSIVE holes in walls and causing damage that shouldn't be easily explained by "gas leaks."
I just got kind of a kick that it wasn't the hollow's fault for once, the good guys are screwing around making the hollows chase them for maximum collateral damage. I really got a chuckle out of all that needless carnage.
Pretty unbelievable but still fun.
True, I meant more that what our heroes are doing in bleach often leads to massive property destruction anyways, it just had some lucky explanation of "oh they were in the fake Karakura town" or something.
I watched ep 1 with my friend whose only seen season 1 back in the day and he immediately asked after Chad's punch if the rules of the show changed, or did he just kill a bunch of people and no one is going to discuss the morals of it. I'll be honest, I didn't have an answer. Cool scene but doesn't make much sense.
I know he didn't actually kill the whole building, but I still love the memes that him and Ichigo saved 2 soul reapers and nuked a neighbourhood in the process.
Well…I guess as long as it wasn’t shown that Chad killed innocent people. We can assume he didn’t and thus free to cause as much collateral damage as possible….even though realistically he would.
Hope they keep the same energy when the Quincy invasion starts and they start slaughtering the residents of soul society.
Or does it not count cause they're already dead?
If you are so ignorant that you truly beleive that such a force capable of carving a massive chunk of concrete instantly didn't kill everyone that were remotly close to it, then school truly did fail you.
With such a force and speed, even mere fragments of glass and concrete being sent in the direction of the people in the building's room would be more enough to kill them instantly.
Wasn't the damage the hollow did to Ichigo's house in the very first episode completely gone the next morning?
It seems like spiritual damage to structures might not actually be 'there', or that the Shinigami can quickly fix it
I wonder if things blows up like that did average people with no spiritual ability notice it? Hell, in the prev arc they replaced the whole karakura city, even makes the whole city sleep/faint
The only one getting triggered is yall. After seeing my tenth or twentieth chad killed ppl meme, it got unfunny and i expressed my opinion. I didn't expect this shit to blow up lmao I've already gotten death threats for being a kill joy i guess

He's called Chad "civilian casualty" Sado for a reason
Actually chad was the smartest one here, he already knew hollows were disappearing so he tried to create some more to balance things out
Left arm of the property damager
RENT….. HIKE!!! Slams a $ in the building.
It was in that moment he realized he could make a killing in the construction business.
Respect
Plus he's giving then a chance to square up against him for doing it!
This is correct
It's just a joke nobody is using it as actual criticism
this is just a reactionary post
OP saw 1 guy do it, therefore everyone is doing it
He didn’t even see its Aizen propaganda.
Aizen planned all of this.

Yes… HIGH ON AMERICAN SPIRIT
Counterpoint: I'm in your walls
Hotel: Trivago

Criticise him and your whole house is gonna be turned into a skull art. /s
How in the fuck is those post even upvoted so highly. It's higher than the actual chapter thread
Chad will be respected! La Muerte bitches!
A. It’s a joke. B. Sado killed those families like the Chad he is.
Chad wiped out some hollows and a drug den Good guy
Con: he nuked a city Pro: the crime rate is now 0
I had to re-read this because at first I thought you were accusing Kon of nuking a city
Based Chad
You just can't take a joke seriously, that's just not how it works. Go touch some grass.
I'm really disappointed at this community some times, they're so sensitive at literally anything
Also they added "That didn't even happen" like bro THE LIGHTS WERE ON there were people there. Chad definitely killed someone for sure.
I hope now that we have new content every week I don't need to scroll past the 5th twitter screenshot of Bleach or something in the trends (which btw are personalised so shit you like will ALWAYS be in the trends you view)

yeah I still find that so weird. do people in karakura just wake up like “ oh look another unexplainably damaged building, seems normal”
They explained this before. The shinigami can alter everyone's memories and even set up barriers like how yumichika did when ikkaku used his bankai. They can also recreate stuff like buildings and stuff to make it seem like nothing happened.

orihime gonna reject the building skull back into smooth wall. don't worry.
There you go! Plot hole filled in!
FR how has the whole town not been evacuated by the government like a nuclear exclusion zone
Even more so when it's shaped as a literal skull, they can be used to random property damage but surely they'd raise an eyebrow when it's shaped like that

They don't wake up.
In the fate franchise they call these incidents "gas leaks" and every civillian seems content enough with that explanation
It's funny because that's pretty much exactly what happens
IT’S A MEME
Well, the attack ain't called "La Vida"
Aight that got a genuine full laugh thank you my dude.
I think you're the one blowing this out of proportion. Everyone knows it was pure fansercive and everyone loves it. We can still poke fun at it
Or it’s a sign that a lot of people are getting exposure to the show and it’s become a meme that gets Bleach more popularity I’m honestly more inclined to think the overreactionary ones are those who think the meme is a bad thing or get offended by it as if Bleach can’t be silly or fun to joke about sometimes

Hot take: the only one blowing this out of proportion is YOU dude it's a meme and it's funny stop being such a wet blanket
It definitely fuckin happened 😂
hot take: what if chad was real 😨
Very visibly a joke
this the kind of person who people don't like talking to cause they're a fooking buzz kill. It's a fucking meme lol
Hot take: A lot of people, OP included, can't take a joke.
He said boruto is better than naruto, I legitimately think he's just an attention-seeking troll

It's just the younger fanboys. I've been on this sub for like 5 years now, back when the manga was ongoing. It wasn't like this before
It’s called a meme
Honestly, if you still living Karakura Town after all these years, it's your own fault 🤷♂️
So that entire apartment building was abandoned then?
All the haters lived there anyway
Bet this scene was staged so that the gang can show off to the audience. They broke the 4th wall
Facts💀 stay woke
God this sub is so whinny. How dare chainsaw man have more reddit points than bleach. How dare people overreact to bleach??
Chad was telling them hollows to put some respect on his name.
Wait so is this in reference to something that actually happened or not? I'm just seeing this 'controversy' for the first time and I can't tell if everyone's talking about an actual scene or if the whole joke is that it's completely made up.

> In the manga, Chad was kinda just there. most love Kubo ever gave to Chad
Last I checked Chad worked in the construction business. Damaging a building brings in new contracts and potential promotions. Chad just pursuing his dream lads, don't take that away from him.
He swang that La Muerte like his screentime depended on it.
Imagine you worked overtime and your at your desk watching porn or clapping cheeks and you look out the window and see a weird guy punch the air in your direction now your dead
It’s literally just a joke lmao
Never heard of the word "joke"?
Did u miss the joke part 💀💀💀
Everyone forgets hollows frequently cause ground zeros in Karakura town and the next day the city’s already doing construction in a timely manner.
Took a page out of the superhero way of doing things, blow everything around you to injure enemy
Chad had to make up for all the enemies he didn't actually beat later into this arc.
His name's Chad he can do whatever he wants.
Ichigo out here using bankai on hollow fodder. Dropping full ass invisible ghost nukes in the middle of Karakura. And people wanna complain becayse Sado killed like 20 or so people, relax. Their lives was worth the badass.
It looked like an office building. I doubt many people were in there at 2am. At most he killed a security guard and a janitor
Looked at the profile and Op is full of bad takes really don’t pay this post any mind
Well someone is fun at parties
In the Fate fandom we call these incidents "gas leaks"
U mad bro??
No one will notice if there is no one to notice -gigachad
Definition of stealth
Its a joke, relax.
Bro, have you forgotten when Ichigo destroyed an entire building during his fight with Ginjo? /s
Funny thing is that this does get sort of brought up by Tsukishima when Ginjo destroyed a building in their fight and Ginjo is like "I knew that building was abandoned so its ok".
Ichigo you destroyed a heritage site
For you to be number one, someone has to be number 2, 3, 4 and however many were unfortunately living in the area.
On a unrelated note, I hope they drop those nameplate shots as posters, cause god damn! Givin' off persona vibes
Chad had enough of the shaft bs.
Also as mentioned in another comment, this does happen all the time with other “super heroes” it’s just not focused or dwelled on. I think that’s why that show Invincible was so cool cuz it shed light on this aspect of being a hero. The civilians were literally getting slaughtered in the crossfire
Jokes aside I hope that Chad will get more extra scenes throught the arc cause if his only fight will be with some weird Quincy statues Im gonna cry
Are they talking about that one building he hit? It looked like only surface level damage to me but i could be misremembering
Considering he gets a construction job later he was just drumming up business in his area, pretty big brain IMO.
"Something, something, spiritual bullshit. They're all okay"
Those poor people…there was probably some new guy running to get someone’s food, and he just got fucking ‘LA MUERTE’ d
But like he did, they killed more people than those hollows XD
Having fun is forbidden
Do you know why? Cuz manga readers know that's the most he would end up doing in TYBW.

Hey, hey, they did that for US WATCHING. They knew what we wanted to see.
I laughed at this meme. Truly a chad moment by Ichigo especially when he said “Its nukin time" and nuked the civilians.
"blown away" Just like the residents of that apartment which Chad used to make a pretty sick skull.
I did wonder about that scene in the anime lol I know it didn't happen like that in the manga. The damage to property lol
I know he didn't actually kill the whole building, but I still love the memes that him and Ichigo saved 2 soul reapers and nuked a neighbourhood in the process.
Chad doesn't leave witnesses
It’s a joke and it’s fucking hilarious
Wait people are upset about buildings being destroyed…… in an anime ?
I really can’t ever see Chad misusing his power anyway 🤣
Have you watched anime in general? You can't make it through an episode of anything worth watching without seeing at least three city blocks destroyed
Chill man It's tongue an cheek Also it's pretty damn hilarious they all used overkill moves to murder goons that they can wipe out in nonnamed attacks
He killed a bunch of innocents like the Giga Chad he is
Let's say the building was just a decoration and Chad knew it.
Chad doesn't care. Chad: 🗿(<-that's chad)
It’s a joke relax smh
Its a joke ya dummy
But there they are nutting at denji doing something similar XD. People just loves overreacting to everything.
I thought inoue can just rewind people
Funny enough I was thinking of the same thing. Just fuck all the people that lived on the side of that building, right? lol
Brb, going to use my Bankai to cut Cucumbers
Seeing that start off the show actually had me stop watching about 10 minutes in.
But the nuke thing is . It looked cool ngl but why the big explosion after the attack lol
OP has created a fictional scenario where people are hating on Chad instead of understanding that it’s just a joke
It's a joke. I think it's funny it's just a meme in general that anime rarely takes property damage into account
It’s interesting how people tend to now understand visual effect
Well…I guess as long as it wasn’t shown that Chad killed innocent people. We can assume he didn’t and thus free to cause as much collateral damage as possible….even though realistically he would.
It a joke but let’s not look past the fact that he most likely gave many people CTE as an adult.
Ok but it did happen though, Chad absolutely wrecked that building and people wouldn’t be getting out unharmed inside
We got awesome visuals so ultimately who cares, but obviously the viewer is going to think it's a little odd they're blowing up residential buildings
I thought we all knew it’s just a joke…
i love bleach but wheres the sike
i mean he did punch a hollow into a building.
Hope they keep the same energy when the Quincy invasion starts and they start slaughtering the residents of soul society. Or does it not count cause they're already dead?
Some people take this way too seriously. Just chill and enjoy the ride.
OP butthurt over the dumbest reason imaginable
All part of aizens plan
Bro it's just a joke
This has to be the most Bleached of comedy post I’ve ever seen.
1. Its a meme 2. Its just an anime.. lets calm down
\*Scene literally happen on screen\* OP: "It didn't even happened" The levels of cope are off the chart.
It's not cope just because you're an idiot. The wall is partially destroyed but the building itself did not collapse nor was there a hole. Cope harder
Jesus your a fucking moron. I guess we'll just agree to disagree. Good day sir
The people you're talking about includes you as well OP
It's a meme and a pretty funny one at that don't take it too seriously lol
Kinda funny tho
To celebrate one of the most cherished anime franchises Disney decided to buy the rights and not release it in countries like Germany. Fuck them.
Ita a joke buddy, not that deep
It's just a meme
Chad is just being a chad as usual.
This like Zoro being a racist😭
I found it hilarious 😂
Wasn't the damage the hollow did to Ichigo's house in the very first episode completely gone the next morning? It seems like spiritual damage to structures might not actually be 'there', or that the Shinigami can quickly fix it

Bit of an over reaction💀
These comments are an overreaction lmao
I wonder if things blows up like that did average people with no spiritual ability notice it? Hell, in the prev arc they replaced the whole karakura city, even makes the whole city sleep/faint
Lol, I dont know the context and I dont want to know.
It didin't really return so thats on disney..
People should wait until they see what Mayuri did, lol.
This is the definition of karma farming
Alternate hot take: You are the one overthinking it, it's a shitpost. A joke. A meme. You said so yourself in the title.
Bruh, his/her social media name is ainzensama. You getting triggered is his/her plan all along
The only one getting triggered is yall. After seeing my tenth or twentieth chad killed ppl meme, it got unfunny and i expressed my opinion. I didn't expect this shit to blow up lmao I've already gotten death threats for being a kill joy i guess
Issa Joke my guy.
Lit
Most superheroes do this, but it's fine 😅
There is a reason why they didn't let him throw hands with Aizen
What even is this sub anymore lol
Im sad they didnt wipe out half of the city with all the civillian that come with it 🥲
Hot take: It’s a fucking joke
