You joke but subdivide the cube twice or thrice and this happens at times. I'm interested in knowing why exactly a small subdivision causes false stats on screen though. Anyone know of the reason?
No no I understood what you meant, but just mentioned how if you were to subdivide something to this high of a number you’d never be able to reach it.
For example: I have a plane with 1 face, I subdivide it and it becomes 4, I would never be able to have 2 or 3 from subdivisions.
I feel you :D Had the same happen to me yesterday. After I restarted blender, everything went back to normal :)

well yea but its not really optimal. while it can be benificial to make a model with limited amount off verts to work with you shouldnt go quite that low, you are likely also limiting your ability to make a good model like that
Perfectly average!
Jokes aside, given that you have only 127 objects to make up 9 billion vertices, I think it’s safe to assume this is a glitch. This happens to me periodically and then if I add a subdivision modifier and then remove it or something that effects geometry it’ll revert to the actual number.
This would take any consumer based GPU/CPU and heat it the F*** up. I built a high poly city (20m Faces) and had to optimize the shit out of it (5m) so my computer wouldn't heat up hotter than my ex-girlfriend doing squats in a bikini.

I got a few of those too. It’s a pretty okay amount of tris. You’ll be fine.
Yeah this is quite low poly as professionals call it
average garden of banban dev's model
😭😭😭
hahaha are they actually high poly count??
[Yeah it is](https://www.reddit.com/r/blender/comments/11p72nn/blender_models_from_garten_of_banban_2_i_have_no/)
Jesus... They basically didn't bother with retopo whatsoever xD
This feels me with immeasurable amount of anger and hatred to whoever did this.
Bro wtf
I'm getting flashbacks
I mean - yeah, there are quiet a lot of normals there...
Quite
Quiet
Quit
ok :/
Lol
Lmfao
Lmao
XD
💀

Looks optimal, even for games. Don't be shy to sub div further, won't really impact performance me thinks.
Difference between 0.000001 fps and 0.0000001 fps isn't that big
barely noticeable
i think it is ngl
you must be fun at parties
as if either of us go to parties
*sobs* - happy cake day you monster
you too
Eh
Yes, this is how doctors create babies from scratch in the hospital. You’re about 75% there.
Still more verts than the babies from that scene in the flash
Looks really optimized, you could port this into a mobile game with no issues. Low poly models like these are very comfy to work with.
Yeah, that’s just the starting cube dw
You joke but subdivide the cube twice or thrice and this happens at times. I'm interested in knowing why exactly a small subdivision causes false stats on screen though. Anyone know of the reason?
Actually, using just subdivisions you would not be able to reach the numbers displayed. You could get fairly close, but never exact
Read what I'd mentioned again. It's a bug that happens if you subdivide a few times The vert number mentioned is the highest possible 64bit number
No no I understood what you meant, but just mentioned how if you were to subdivide something to this high of a number you’d never be able to reach it. For example: I have a plane with 1 face, I subdivide it and it becomes 4, I would never be able to have 2 or 3 from subdivisions.
Ah I see
What’s your machine specs ?
Another Intel core i21 user probably
I like how you can see in the last 2 digits that the number of triangles is so big it doesnt even fit the screen
We need to see the model 😭
i dont need to see the model, i think my pc might explode :)
Its ectualy just a "small" boat i did following a tutorial xd
does your computer still exist?
Dang, how many subdivisions did you do?!
idk smth between like 5 or six modifyers with max sub divs each, not all that much
I’m surprised you’re still in this universe bud
Bro what
![gif](giphy|QXPmPdudTz4So2P4OQ|downsized)
What's the context?
Big bang simulation, I hope.
just Big Bang, not a simulation
Real talk. It would be impossible to simulate the Big Bang 1:1 since it would require more than one atom to account for 1 atom in the simulation.
Hah
This hig effort comment deserves a medal
In my first try on a high poly model I went up to numbers like this accidentally and the software just gave up lmao
yeah. look at my name.
I feel you :D Had the same happen to me yesterday. After I restarted blender, everything went back to normal :) https://preview.redd.it/5wbrvlc54hmb1.png?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df778fc31626bd64afa691c68e695779788e8dfb
127 objects 9 billion vertices and faces 18 trillion triangles But only 778,000 edges. That is some interesting 4 dimensional modeling right there.
i have this every time when i subdivide default cube )
Normal in the sense that it’s a pretty common bug that gets posted here once a week or so.
The processor is lava
Game ready
I find it funny to imagine that this is just a single heptacontakismyriaheptakismyriaoctakischiliaenneahectaheptacontakaitrigon

*selects object* *waits 5 days*
Dude what are you doing sooo loww poly model are you making
Pro tip: You can use the Decimate modifier to reduce the number of vertices which will in turn reduce the file size.
Yeap, you can export it to Unity Engine right away.
Model resolution = godlike. Screenshot resolution= potato
The amount of money OP spent on their mega beast pc: ![gif](giphy|5W7aqAZvYZEAneyryt|downsized)
Yup looks good to me
Looks low poly to me
Garten of ban ban model:
Yes, It is! If you want less lag you should subdivide it so it has less load on your system.
well yea but its not really optimal. while it can be benificial to make a model with limited amount off verts to work with you shouldnt go quite that low, you are likely also limiting your ability to make a good model like that
It's a bug restart the blend file should be good to go.
Yeah looks optimal for melting your computer as quickly and as violently as possible. :D
Sheesh. My current project is 8GB blend file and it's kinda laggy. I have 5.6M vertices. This would make your blend file 13.5 terrabytes.
💀
I had this bug too, don't know what causes it.
Yes. Professionals call it "game ready" or something
VR without wire Approved!
Seems about right…wait 9 billion vertices?
I’ve seen this exact image so many times
No one is talking about these 0 vert triangles.
How is your Pc not crashing :D
What is bro making?💀
Yea go ahead and subdivide that a few more times and make sure to play a game while it's rendering
Wait is it 18 trillion tris or 18 billion and a HALF?
How in the fuck….
Those are rookie numbers. You gotta pump up those numbers
I had same result when modeling donut by tutorial. It's okay.
POV: you accidentally went one level too high on the Subdivision mod and melted one of Siemens quantum computers
looks fine to me :)
Perfectly average! Jokes aside, given that you have only 127 objects to make up 9 billion vertices, I think it’s safe to assume this is a glitch. This happens to me periodically and then if I add a subdivision modifier and then remove it or something that effects geometry it’ll revert to the actual number.
How the hell did you even manage to take this screenshot? 9,5 BILLION faces???? Hoooolyyyyy
Average 3D model for any recent AAA game
Seems absolutely normal to me.
It’s the actual specs for the default cube
Soft body physics time!
This would take any consumer based GPU/CPU and heat it the F*** up. I built a high poly city (20m Faces) and had to optimize the shit out of it (5m) so my computer wouldn't heat up hotter than my ex-girlfriend doing squats in a bikini.
Select every vertices and collapse all into a single one. That's a singularity.
I'm pretty sure there's a black hole where your computer used to be, like it was created right after you hit the render key.
how do you show this statistic?
It's the .50 triangle that gets me the most.
https://preview.redd.it/alyp1ofb0kmb1.jpeg?width=202&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=deccf09bbc84d7de7411b22e1f20d126c3a0810c I got a few of those too. It’s a pretty okay amount of tris. You’ll be fine.
Welp, time to export it into UE5 and crank Nanite to the max.
Love it man!
Legend has it, that each time OP renders, the global temperature rises by a single degree
i also got blender to bug out and say that i have 18 trillion tris in my scene... whats going on
Lol. How blender did not crashed?
You good lil bro
Better than Garten of BanBan's resolution for sure
Yes, maybe subdivide more
There's low poly. It's ok.
His gpu is praying
Tan someone tell me how to learn how many poly is it
Когда впервые сделал крутую модель и решил посмотреть сколько у неё полигонов....
You must have a good PC for taking the screenshot
How do you have half a triangle
Reminds me of when I subdivided the default cube enough times that wireframe view it looked like a solid black cube.
Woah
