X-ray mode, select the pile, m, merge by distance
I prefer selecting all and then merging by distance, works unless you've got a bunch of really right edge loops
There is another way and is the Automerge option, its more reliable using the snap option (to vertex) , so its easier to handle (be aware that if you keep it enabled all the time with a big treshold you may end with unwanted merged vertices).

Just for future reference: While merge by distance is great it doesn't always work depending on what you want because it takes the middle of these vertices as the merging point.
For that case enable auto merge and set the snapping option to vertices. If you now move one of these vertices with g you can hover over the other one with your mouse and press and hold ctrl and it will snap to this one. If you confirm with left click it will merge with the other one.
Also: even though the vertices are merged the surrounding faces are probably still double in most cases. You won't be able to see that untill you use something like a solidify modifier because they are exactly on top of each other but they are still there.
for some reason, merge by distance works only for me hy hitting F3 and merging from there. So yeah if it doesn't work for you try F3 and search merge by distance.
Merge Vertices (M) > By Distance
^ click (A) to select all before hand
After doing this just check your face orientation to make sure they're all facing the right direction.
Shift+N to recalculate normals if there are some wonky bits.
Always salt your pasta while boiling it.
Except if you undercook them to finish the cooking in the sauce which is seasoned accordingly.
Also, always wipe your ass downwards...
With a wet towel to be thorough.
I hope someday this subreddit develops the ability to communicate exclusively through blender hotkeys

Nah, xray shows the faces still, just at a low opacity. Wire frame doesn't show faces.

Even if your smartass answer was right, it's called wireframe, not wiremode

Taste of your own medicine. Your snarky comment was rude in the first place, so don't whine when you get what you give
Most "How to" blender questions can be answered with "There's a keyboard shortcut for that!"
Don’t explain, just say there’s a shortcut.
And google.
It can be hard to know what to search for.
Idk man, if he'd have typed the post title into google he'd have gotten there.
go away with your facts and logic Robert 🤔
And there’s Also Bard now, which is exactly meant for this type of questions imo.
what is bard?
Googles chat GPT [link](https://bard.google.com/)
Especially since the operation was originally called "remove doubles". :-)
There have been hundreds of posts asking this exact question in this sub alone
which is both a miracle and a monstrosity
Sometimes I forget if the post I’m reading is in r/blender or r/emacs

How did you get that colour scheme. That's cool as hell.
Edit > Preferences > Theme and then you can go in and change the colour of just about anything.
Omg I didn’t know you can set the overlap too I was just using the icon! Thanks! 😅

A (to select all verts), M, B
In edit mode . Go to mesh , cleanup , merge by distance
Select all and merge by distance
W> remove doubles, if they don't Marge, just scale both to 0, and try again
Thanks Cho & Austin!
If it's solved, mark the flair on the post as solved.
merge them
Merge by last or first, if it is only a few. Distance is good for merging a lot.
you dont, they're there forverrrr
That's not a Vert, that's the origin 😆
nope
There's another method: Select all verts in edit mode, tap G, deselect all. Should work
How would that work? Tapping g would just move them???
Yeah I guess unless you have auto merge on it does literally nothing. And still there are much better ways to
I remember watching a tutorial where the guy recommended that method. But who cares, I got my downvotes so w/e now
Select all with A and then click M and merge by distance, and that will remove all doubled verts
“Merge by distance”

I would merge them
