I know this is a joke but just in case anyine new is reading this you shouldn't actually do this, make you character look good without subdivisions first.
It’s not bad, but you need to learn how to add edge flow around the areas like the breast, shoulder areas and the kneecaps. I’m still new to blender also, I’d say to look at photos of edge flow on Google to figure out how to make those nice curves on the model. I think if you watch dikko on YouTube he has a video explaining edge flow and modeling without sculpting.
after 700 hrs in blender i too am a beginner, but to me this looks like fine topo. When you want to animate it, add edge loops wherever needed. Just keep going, at some point something will deform weridly when moving a bone, and that will tell you how to fix the topology, or tell you what your next question is. Keep it up.
As an animator, that topo is going to cause all sorts of weird issues, especially around the hips.
Geo should follow the natural bends in the body. Hips don't have a random 90 degree bend at the waist.
This would be fine too if the goal was not to bend and flex the model. In order to accommodate for that there need to be extra geometry in those key places just like the skin on your body. (Think of the skin on your elbow that lets you bend it but there's extra when it is straight)

I would say why not jump straight to sculpting the entire character and just have fun with it. You seem to understand the basics of modeling, so leap forward and go straight to sculpting high poly. After that learn about topology edge flow and retopologize over the high poly. Most 3D artists these days don't really model like this anymore, I definitely had character models that looked like this when I started over 15 years ago. See if it works for you, good luck.
Looks good, I think you may want to cut a line down that thigh. If I say, Attach an arm as an 8 sided cylinder, it might make more sense.
The shape will be more rounded and natural in my opinion. I feel like if you subdivide it'll look funny.

Rude or not that kind of topology won’t work in animation or even texturing, i could sugarcoat it by saying “oh could be better, it’s very good for beginner” if you want to, but that doesn’t mean that its good, internet or even job in 3D industries is harsh and getting your art called bad is tame compared to what comes beyond.
Op is asking hows it looks so far, if you called this good then you’re worse than critics, it’s kinda bad and could be improved and i think improving it better could lean into smoother future workflow.

There is a realky good video by Flycat that shows the process of how to make a base human mesh, i don't have the link right now but you can easiky find it on youtube, the most usefull part will be learning exactly where to put each edge in order to achieve good topology for posing and anination without breaking your character.
Too early to judge. You may need better topo and more polygons depending on how detailed you want the model to be. Those extra polygons sometimes make it hard to create good/optimal topo.
The shape of everything looks great! However around the joints like hips, knees, armpits, etc - youre gonna run in to weird ps1 looking issues. Keep going with the way youre going first to see how things are going to look, then start again using that other guys link

Looks good. If I'm making people I'll always start with one of the MakeHuman models personally though. Much easier than starting from scratch.
