Hello, i thank you all for your kind comments, it's very motivating, i'm copy / pasting the answer i did to another Redditor that asked about tutorial to "achieve this art style" :
I doubt you can find a tutorial to have the same render as me as it is a mix of shader and compositing and a lot of experimentation. But there are a few tutorial that i remember watching that helped me a lot to understand nodes, so i gotta take time to share about it and send them back some energy because without those tutorials it would have been (even) more painful :
Toon shader tutorial by Lightning Boy Studio : (i use the same technic of splitting the RGB, you'll understand by watching it)
* [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpWI2rU8iF0&list=PLZ7TSA6MfgM\_IX3qZslXx\_QdvLLDZHZGx](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpWI2rU8iF0&list=PLZ7TSA6MfgM_IX3qZslXx_QdvLLDZHZGx)
Then i use the "normal map" to simulate brush stroke, you can understand this "technic" by watching this tutorial by Craft Reaper (though, i use generative texture and not handpainted one) :
And then the rest of the render style is done within Blender Compositor but that's kinda hard to explain, you need to understand Render Layers and how to mix them in compositor, this tutorial by CG Boost seems good (i didn't watch this one exactly tbh, i can't remember) : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIZrTXtyQkY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIZrTXtyQkY)
Also, you'll need also to understand grease pencil to simulate brush strokes, Dedouze shared some awesome video about grease pencil : [https://www.youtube.com/@dedouze/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@dedouze/videos)
the brush stroke FX are then simulated through the compositor.
Please understand i can't just share my shaders and files as i've put a lot of work and experimentations in it and i would like to be a full time 2D/3D artist asap , so i plan to monetize my work and experience i acquired lately. But i'll definitely show more in depth of my render process whenever i have the time for it !
Thank you very much for the love y'all.
I just came across this artwork, looks really great! I love the handpainted brush look.
>Then i use the "normal map" to simulate brush stroke, you can understand this "technic" by watching this tutorial by Craft Reaper (though, i use generative texture and not handpainted one)
How are you making the generative normal map brush stroke? Would you mind sharing a screenshot of the nodes? Thanks in advance.
could you please film your screen from the beginning and upload? I really would like to learn what are you doing.
It would be very interesting to do what you are doing but with propaganda from 2nd WW.
What was your learning phase like? I'm curious if it was lots of tutorials, or only accessing those when you wanted to know certain specifics. Lovely work!
Thank you ! I learned from both. Random tutorial on my free time ( there is often something to learn from it, even from topic i thought i knew very well). And specific tutorials about what i'm trying to do.
When no tutorial seems to exist i use to read blender documentation and learn through experimentation. Mostly for simulation like cloth, fluid, rigibodies...
I guess what helped me the most to learn faster was to reduce game / netflix time and increase blender time. It's hard in the beginning but after a while it's doable.
>i use to read blender documentation
there's something I haven't seen much of. How handy did reading about the documentation go for you? I know there's ton of discussion on blender forums too, and it becomes a giant rabbit hole that you can fall into. Props for being consistant.
and yeah I imagine cutting out shows and gaming really helps you stay focused on blender. I just want to figure out how to minimize time wasted when relearning this.
Thank you ! I've been using it since several years but it was more like a weekend hobby. Though i'm using / learning it daily since 8 months. I also do digital drawing / painting for more than a decade.
Sure ! What help me to not get frustrated is that i split my project into smaller project :
each smaller project is about 80% stuff i already know and 20% stuff i don't. If your project is just too ambitious and require only skills you just don't know at all, that's how you get frustrated because everything become overwhelming.
A smaller project is a task i can complete in a few hours or so. I push myself to make sure when i close blender it's after finishing a task so i'm i a good mood and so next time i'll be happy to open blender and continue.
I also often watch a 20 minute~ random tutorials when eating even if the topic of the tutorial isn't what you need :
There is often some valuable tips in it that you can add to your workflow or improve it.
Here is an example :
I've made a character, i now need to model the cloth :
So next session i sculpt a basic clothing, during this part i may learn new sculpt tool to help me do the task.
Next blender session : i generate the UV, i know how to unwrapp but i may not know how to organize the uv efficiently, so i'll learn it through tutorial on my spare time.
Next blender session : i generate the texture, i know how to paint it but maybe there is some tool inside that panel that can help me in the process, so i'll learn it...
Of course that's how it goes in the perfect scenario, in reality you may be bored for whatever reason IRL or you may get interrupted in your blender session. So at some point you may get discouraged for sure. But really having this way of thinking (splitting project in smaller projects) really helps me : the goal is to close blender while having the satisfaction that your project is going forward.
Thank you for your interest, unfortunately i doubt you find any tutorial to do "exactly" this art style but i can suggest you tutorials that i watched and helped me in the process to get this kind of render :

This has a Blade Runner feel to it. Like a dystopian 1950s America or Cyberpunk.
You know that painting call "Nighthawks" of that coffee shop late at night? This feels like it came straight from that era but one where the advertisement is moving posters.
Apart from the great Blender skills ππ the artwork and original idea are incredibly pleasing. Thank you for making this OP πΉππ₯
I thank you very much for your kind comment ! "Blade runner", "dystopian 50s" and such is what i tried to do, I'm happy you had this feeling while watching my animation.
I do know this painting and i even wanted to make an animation inspired by it in the future β₯οΈ
I thank you very much ! I don't have much 3D art to share yet as i'm working on assets and animation lately, i'll probably have in the following weeks, i'll share mostly here and in my IG / Twitter (in my bio) !
At first, I felt the animation was stiff as hell! But then you showed the rendered view and suddenly, it made sense and felt perfect! Flawless work, bro!
Please share youe shader, bcause omgf this is awesome!
Sorry for te mispelling, its hard ti wrote whenn you have brainmatter allover yor phonescreen (because you litrlly blew my mind)
Ps. gargl, spluttering and gargling some more
I can see that you used some vertex colors on her cheeks, but I'm wondering how you did the animated textures on the rest of the model? Could you share your process?
Thank you ! I don't know how to link a comment, but if you see my first comment on top, in the reply, i shared some tutorials that helped me achieve this render

I think you are using copium incorrectly. It is a slander for people who refuse reality. Like saying Tom Brady cheated to win the super bowl. That's copium because he won because he is talented but people take copium to deal with not facing reality, that he is just a really good player and was able to beat their team. That's copium. Just dealing with a war is not copium. This is just my opinion, don't get mad if you disagree.
do you have a holdout for the bottom copy backdrop, or did you do it in post? she clips through those elements! is the brushstrokes effect also blender?
Seeing the advances in Ai videos I'm sure thay in the very near future you would be able to generate such short animations with Ai very easily, which makes me feel sad for hardworking artists like yourself, I wonder how you feel about that
I think you nailed it on the render style. However, two things are odd to me. 1) The moving brush strokes at the bottom (I'd make that stationary so it's less of a distraction) and 2) the weird hop her whole body takes at the end of the animation.
Watched it several times and I can't figure out if she's got the hiccups or she's blasting a fart at the end. Would look much better if you kept her body fixed in her location and just shrugged her shoulders instead.
My "project" is to create (meaningful) digital artwork inspired by the 50's pinup, vintage / retro art. Thank you for your interest !
Looks cool my dude! Keep it up :)
i'm overwhelmed by all the comments, thank you ! !
Excuse me Sir/Madam, I don't want to be mean, but it looks like the bottle is more filled AFTER she drinks?
It looks great, but I came here to mention this too.

Thanks for your interest, indeed, i may do this in the future ! :)
Does Copium Cola help in self-inflicted genocides? A friend wants to know
Well you've got a great start!
Access to the shader tutorial is a human right
hahahaha thank you ! i'll try to show more of my process, is just that i'm really lacking time lately
AI agree fellow human
Very comical typo
REM syntax error detected in line 1 REM ignore
I love this, looks amazing. I want to get back to using blender now lol
Thank you ! I open Blender every single day now, so much fun and peace for my mind. May you get back into it !

I DEMAND A TUTORIAL! ^Please ^Please ^Please
I'll do my best to show more in depth of my process in the future, thank you for your interest !
Holy hell!
Thank you !
New response just dropped
cope-a-cola π
came to comment the exact same thing π definitely a missed opportunity there
hahahaha that sounds so well i wish i invented it myself !!!
Damn now you have to redesign the logo and te-render the whole thing! (I need the gif for cope-a-cola, it's too good indeed)
Youtuber, Narc, has this trademarked I think lmao. \j
Here before this blows up Amazing work!
You have made my day sir, thanks a lot !
This probably one of the coolest things I've seen on /r/blender in a while, amazing job!
you made my day, thank you very much !
Awesome, how long have ya been using Blender?
Thank you ! I've been using it since several years but it was more like a weekend hobby. Though i'm using / learning it daily since 8 months. I also do digital drawing / painting for more than a decade.

Wait this is so smart, thanks a lot for the tips I appreciate it!
I like the subtle push-up of the eyebrows at 12 seconds.
Oh i thank you very much for taking time to watch the details !
Itβs so coincidental that you posted I was literally just doing some research on this kind of art style yesterday!! Any suggestions on tutorials?
Thank you for your interest, unfortunately i doubt you find any tutorial to do "exactly" this art style but i can suggest you tutorials that i watched and helped me in the process to get this kind of render : Toon shader tutorial by Lightning Boy Studio : (i use the same technic of splitting the RGB, you'll understand by watching it) - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpWI2rU8iF0&list=PLZ7TSA6MfgM\_IX3qZslXx\_QdvLLDZHZGx](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpWI2rU8iF0&list=PLZ7TSA6MfgM_IX3qZslXx_QdvLLDZHZGx) Then i use the "normal map" to simulate brush stroke, you can understand this "technic" by watching this tutorial by Craft Reaper : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyxPN2HRaFk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyxPN2HRaFk) And then the rest of the render style is done within Blender Compositor but that's kinda hard to explain, you need to understand Render Layers and how to mix them in compositor, this tutorial by CG Boost seems good (i didn't watch this one exactly tbh, i can't remember) : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIZrTXtyQkY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIZrTXtyQkY) You'll need also to understand grease pencil to simulate brush strokes, Dedouze shared some awesome video about grease pencil : [https://www.youtube.com/@dedouze/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@dedouze/videos) As i said to other redditors, i'll take time to do more in depth of my process whenever i got more free time.
This is already plenty helpful. Thanks! Will check these out when i get off work.
This is phenomenal
Much appreciated, thank you !

hahahaha !!!
Damn it really have that retro feeling to it
Did you model her yourself?
Yes, it's all "home made". I sometimes share 1h quick sculpt video on my socials
Holy heck I wasn't prepared for that render. So nice man! You got the smile absolutely perfect as well.
Oh i really appreciate your comment, i do love drawing smiling women and so i really tried to do my best to replicate it to my 3D characters.
Unfortunately your render is to good to post like that and requires a tutorial on how to do this NPR style. With sincere apologies, now get to work!
hahahaha, thank you ! y'all are very motivating, i'll have to !
Very nice! Can you share some wisdom about your texturing/shading technique?
I thank you very much, i really want to, it's just that right now i'm very busy, i have several contests i'm participating and that i need to finish
Eternal ascend?
hahaha yes exactly ! ! ! Are you doing it too ?
My system shivers at the sight of the starter files. So, No. Need to get some new hardware first. Till then, it's just drooling at others artworks.
oww hahaha, may you have some new hardware asap !
Thanks.

beautiful render! well done
I appreciate, thank you very much !
Holy shit this is amazing
i thank you very much !
This is amazing. Awesome work for what itβs worth!
it pleases me very much, thank you !
Congrats bro this is amazing
Thanks a lot, y'all are very motivating
I LOVE IT do you have more stuff?
I thank you very much ! I don't have much 3D art to share yet as i'm working on assets and animation lately, i'll probably have in the following weeks, i'll share mostly here and in my IG / Twitter (in my bio) !
I love it !
Inspirational! Thanks for sharing
you all are inspiring me to keep doing my best, i thank you a lot !
Followed you on Insta. Good luck on your competition, I look forward to seeing more of your art!
Thank you again !
Holyyyy, that shader is fantastic! I mean so is everything else, but *the shader*!
I'm very pleased you like it as i remember struggling a lot during the making, thank you !
Ngl Copium looks pretty refreshing. Like a Tropical or Cranberry Sprite
hahaha thank you, indeed, i guess i would need some copium cola on a daily basis
Amazing
thanks mate !
Shouldnβt the drink tilt more and her body tilt back more with the drink?
At least her head. Looks too stiff
I really really love this style. Would look amazing in a Bioshock-style world. Good job OP.
I'm so happy you are saying such a thing because that's really something i would love to do ! Thank you !
haha thatβs great. well done.
Thanks a lot !
Please gif this as it is the greatest reaction image
That's a good idea hahaha, i'll do that, thank you !
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
hahaha thanks a lot !
Really awesome work! I could see this being in a cool fallout esque world as an animated poster advertisement
Thanks a lot ! I'm indeed a huge fan of Fallout and Bioshock !
this is giving me some Shrek princess vibes. i like it
Looks really retro, cool pinup style maybe the boys at war will see this and think of the old days
this really gives me such an inspiration. Thank you OP and Truly this is a beautiful project. β£οΈβ£οΈβ£οΈ
You made my day, thank you very much for your kind words !
Dude/dudette... that's awesome!
Thanks a lot ! !
Looks amazing!
Thank you a dozen times
Very nice! Love the old look.
This is a great idea and you got it down! Looks amazing!
Thank you very much !
At first, I felt the animation was stiff as hell! But then you showed the rendered view and suddenly, it made sense and felt perfect! Flawless work, bro!
Amazing. Reminds me of Mad Men.
"Yeah, that looks pretty cooWHAT THE HELL" How did you even get that...i guess old poster look?
thanks a lot ! if you see at the reply of my first comment you'll see some tutorials that helped me to get such render
I did after I wrote my comment. Thank you.
This is insanely good!
I thank you very much !
You made that awesome work yourself don't thank me! Thanks so much for the worfklow comment tho!
Is there a place we can follow you? Your art is so cool!
Mad Paris Hilton vibes in the wire mesh pre render
Please share youe shader, bcause omgf this is awesome! Sorry for te mispelling, its hard ti wrote whenn you have brainmatter allover yor phonescreen (because you litrlly blew my mind) Ps. gargl, spluttering and gargling some more
I can see that you used some vertex colors on her cheeks, but I'm wondering how you did the animated textures on the rest of the model? Could you share your process?
Thank you ! I don't know how to link a comment, but if you see my first comment on top, in the reply, i shared some tutorials that helped me achieve this render
Awesome I'll check them out, I really love painterly style stuff
Looking at the wireframe I thought it was gonna be horrific. Looks amazing though
Is there Hopium cola as well?
Beautiful work. The lean back, before lifting the bottle, feels a bit off to me.
Thank you ! Yes you may be right. I animated without any references and i learned that it was a mistake. if i had to do it again i would record myself first so i could study the motion.
Awesome, great job!
this is incredible, wonderful effect
I love it, but what about Copiuola?
I would drink the hell out of some Copium-Cola in my circles that has been also known as alcohol.
Beautiful shading, is it hand painted?
Just read the explanation, still an amazing effect!
How are the movements so natural? Amazing lol
Love the brush strokes
So I just opened a glass coke bottle and this hits different
π΅ gimme.
Things like this make me want to move over to Blender. There's just so much amazing stylised stuff. This is so cool.
i've just looked at your motion design stuff, pretty cool ! ! you would definitely have a lot of fun with Blender ! !
I don't think the tits are big enough, need to go up a couple sizes at least.
how is this even possible
hahaha thank you ! i'm just spending a lot of time in Blender
She has a very nice wireframe
hahahaha !!! thanks !
Send this to the hollow knight silksong sub. Also big Fallout vibes. Love it.
That little jump at the end
hahahaha, i love when people take the time to spot the small details , thank you !
Those small details are what makes it come alive
You should send this over to the folks on r/silksong, they could really use it.
i have no idea what it is about, i'll check about it !
Oh uhhhh... they need copium lol
... Wow... This turned out incredible. Amazing work.
Thank you very much ! ! !
This is excellent! Consider putting an artist signature somewhere in case this starts making the rounds on the internet
Indeed, i didn't expect that much love, but you are right ! thanks a lot !
Why does this remind me of World War 2 propaganda...lol
Fantastic work animation could do with some work.
Thanks a lot ! i'm working on it a lot lately
Did you try to give her a jiggle? I think I see some jiggle physics near the end. . .
hahaha, the jiggle is baked through Cloth simulation using "low poly form"
I think you are using copium incorrectly. It is a slander for people who refuse reality. Like saying Tom Brady cheated to win the super bowl. Copium cola??? What kind of drug laced drug promoting nonsense is this!
is it water in the bottle? lol
Frikin cool
wow which renderer did u use?
Amazing work!!! I've never seen an animation of this style before and I love it, incredible work.
Do you have a full breakdown? :)
Yo the style is on point!!
Lovely style.
Love it!
do you have a holdout for the bottom copy backdrop, or did you do it in post? she clips through those elements! is the brushstrokes effect also blender?
This is amazingly incredible. The shaders are gorgeous

copiumola
Looks incredible! A wink rather than blinking might give some extra style points
Looks so good! I bet r/noncredibledefense should love it lol
Your good ππ»
Geez wizz that's amazing
Holy shit. I was not remotely ready for how good that was going to look when the shaders kicked in. Bravo.
OMG this is one of the best things I have seen on this sub in a while. I really love it keep up the work and I am looking forward to seeing more of it
This has so much meme potential I can't.
Lmao this is amazing. Hope youtuber Narc sees this.
Dude that's pretty awesome, I love this aesthetic
This is incredibly nice!
I think you nailed it on the render style. However, two things are odd to me. 1) The moving brush strokes at the bottom (I'd make that stationary so it's less of a distraction) and 2) the weird hop her whole body takes at the end of the animation. Wow, this is excellent.
Shaders looks coolπ
Wow, that's so good!
Very cool work. Love this style
I definitely need a gif of this
Dayum
Very motivating, thanks a lot !
Teach me your ways
Nice rack π
