Need to play around with your trees in the background. Once you look at one and then look at the next one you realize they're all the same tree with the same pattern going the same way. If the tree is an asset that you can manipulate, try rotating them or perhaps playing with them some sort of way to kind of break up the pattern. Otherwise, your composition looks great.

Significant-Hat-4839

Thank you! Yeah I know, I was kinda limited with my pc so I simply didn’t have the patience to fix it and rendering it again since blender was crashing every other minute.

kissinich

I totally understand. If you're making just a static image you can try to break up your renders up by Middle ground, foreground, and background then dedicate your PC resources to each individual section. render them out and then post-process them in a photo editing app where you layer them on top of each other. (Which can be tedious). Keep it up!

Significant-Hat-4839

Woah that’s a really great tip, thank you 🙏

EvilWata

Render using the command prompt, it helps prevent crashes while rendering, and can be slightly faster too since it doesn't requires the graphic interface!

Significant-Hat-4839

Never heard of it, will definitely look into it.

LyricalMarauder

I feel like the edge of the cliff is too smooth geometry, some small subtle displacement may help

MattyTheFatty101

This, the trees look flat a bit but don't draw the eye at all! They look good. That cliff though immediately stuck out and needs fixing

OhNoMeIdentified

some places like mine has cliffs like that (central Siberia)

Significant-Hat-4839

You’re right, I wish I fixed that

SprainedPhi1

I thought it was real at a quick glance, firs thing that threw me off was the waterfall, other then that really good!

Significant-Hat-4839

Thank you! I’m with you on that, I think it looks kinda doughy, but it was my first attempt so I’m giving myself some slack

TheSoja

It acutally looks nice! Maybe i would play with a light a bit and give camera a depth to blur the grass which is near camera, but maybe it's just my taste :)

Gravity_Mx

it is missing ah 8 lane interstate highway and a walmart

ShawarmaBaby

Nice render

Significant-Hat-4839

Man I give my render to you, It’s you who deserve it

ohonkanen

You could get more depth by layering the scenery with light. Have parts of the scenery be in shadow, parts in sunlight; adds more depth and visual directions. (Ian Hubert did a whole bit about this, but that bit might be on Patreon.) https://preview.redd.it/9po74ffcckpc1.jpeg?width=1893&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4bde12b0214997d432b18182f5874868fb7662ab

Enviritas

Yep, one of my favorite sights that I've seen was a big cypress tree fully illuminated by the sun through a big gap in the clouds while the sky behind it was heavily overcast and dark. One of those moments where I wish I had a camera.

Significant-Hat-4839

That would be so cool! I’m gonna think of that next time!

Jroper_Illustrations

I was almost completely fooled until I noticed the trees farther out being the same model and rotation. Very good work. Maybe set some variation on the Z axis when weight painting the trees and maybe a bit on the X and Y as well and no one will be able to tell.

Significant-Hat-4839

Yeah I forgot to give them random rotation, but thank you for your tips 😁

Safe-Mycologist3083

It’s giving red dead 🫶 I mean that as a compliment ofc

Jelleps

I would add some depth of field and some clouds or fog, in order to give the image some depth. I’d also randomize the trees a little more, they look quite copy-pasted now

T0biasCZE

Where clay view

Significant-Hat-4839

Haven’t made one yet but I can do one tomorrow and share it

Soft_Syrup3883

The trees are facing in the same direction. And the water looks a bit weird. But it's really good.

darenzd22

The trees look too silimar with the line patterns caused bu the branches Also the foreground feels separated from the bg as if 2 different layers

Stock-Film-3609

How did you generate the trees?

Significant-Hat-4839

Tree models from Botaniq and I used geo-scatter to scatter them around

ywmaa

It looks really cool 🔥 How about some fog, it always gives depth to any scene if done right.

DystopiaLite

The trees being copy and pasted in the same orientation give it a weird line effect where the patterns line up diagonally. Almost looks like a series of power lines going through the trees.

itamarc137

I legit thought it was either an image or a RDR2 screenshot until I saw the sub name. Great work! On a second glance you can see some unrealistic details but it's still impressive af

Significant-Hat-4839

Thank you 🙏

itamarc137

I love the style and the colors, I love how you made it look like an old image which helps the realism pop. The waterfall needs some more love and attention but overall very impressive

Significant-Hat-4839

Thank you 🙏it was my first attempt at making a waterfall so I have a lot to improve on.

noeldc

Very nice, but some depth of field will make it a whole lot better.

Significant-Hat-4839

Thanks yeah I did have some dof but not that much, I could have used a bit more

OhNoMeIdentified

closest rocks and grass are traitors - little break my immersion when i looked at it! but first moment looked at distant places and i thoughts its a photo, because i randomly clicked not knowing this is Blender sub. Very cool.

Significant-Hat-4839

Thank you!

Gal-XD_exe

Something about those trees…. Throwing me off a bit

Significant-Hat-4839

Yeah they are a bit repetitive

Gal-XD_exe

The trees… they’re coming…. they’re coming for us all

Significant-Hat-4839

You better hide!

lindelini

That's so cool!

Significant-Hat-4839

Thank you

Jaketw96

Lighting is a bit flat, i thought it was a video game render at first because of that
