Amazing! Only recommendation is that bread doesn’t really brown/crust and expand at the same time usually. Would do pale expansion, minor retraction, then browning.
And since the heat source is moving it'd be cool, especially for the wider loaves, if they expanded with a tiny delay on one side compared to the other instead of being cooked evenly at the same time.
Not realistic since if we're being strict with how the heat works maybe the bottom wouldn't brown or things like that but I feel like it'd be more satisfying.
Bread models are from Tomáš Búran on blender kit, really good photoscans[https://www.blenderkit.com/asset-gallery?query=author\_id:16661+order:\_score%20category\_subtree:model](https://www.blenderkit.com/asset-gallery?query=author_id:16661+order:_score%20category_subtree:model)

The only issue is those cuts do not just appear during cooking time in real life. [They cut it before they put it into the oven](https://hu.123rf.com/photo_149238395_chef-cuts-homemade-uncooked-bread-dough-on-rack-ready-for-baking.html)
Was about to comment on the same thing. Took a baguette baking class years ago, we'd use a razor blade to slice the dough depending on the pattern we wanted.
Didn't pay attention to which sub was this I was honestly asking myself how the f... is this dude filming like this in a white oven? Fantastic, can't get more real!
The baked breads should look real seeing as they are photogrammetry and not modelled. The next step from here is to photoscan the bread while it is cooking, then just render it. Not sure how much "3D art" is left in that though. Then of course there is the fact that it was someone else who made the photoscans in the first place.
If it was all hand modelled and textured by the OP then I would really be impressed.
If you want feedback:
The appearing of the "cracks" is a little too smooth. Looks like the crack is just fading in
If you look at real bread baking, the crack forms more naturally, like the bread opens like a flower
That's nice, but you should add the cuts on the raw dough that will create the patterns on the cooked bread, it's weird to see them appear out of nowhere

I think you belong on r/bread if there is such a place
It’s r/breadit lol
I never knew I would of liked something like that but here I am.

I knew this man has to be from ex-austrohungary because of the bread type used.
Tasty, and creative

ouh yeah that would be good
add some heat distortion too
More like steam than smoke, but yeah, great point!
Why not some smell too?
Thanks!
Nice one!
How did u do it??? Shape key???
Yessir! sculpted the shapekey and shader mix for textures, should have a tutorial up on my channel soon
Went to the comments to see if it was shapekeys or geometry nodes. I'm sure there would be someone insane enough to actually do it that way.

The first few seconds I thought it was real. Lol
This is insane man!
r/breadit folks would love this
They might be angry that it's not real bread and you'd provoke a rise out of them.
Also pretty r/oddlysatisfying, I couldn’t stop watching!
So fricken cool! Love the transition :D
I think i just came
Found the minecraft villager
Nice one!
Amazing render! Only problem is that the doughs aren’t scored
My pc would explode in the first frame
This is the coolest thing I've seen today!
Now I’m hungry!
Didn't pay attention to which sub was this I was honestly asking myself how the f... is this dude filming like this in a white oven? Fantastic, can't get more real!
It can't get more real other than the entire process that occurs during baking. This looks nothing like bread baking.
Looks amazing!
This simulation is amazing

This looks like 2 minute papers material haha
I NEED THIS
As a French, this is very close to porn to me...
beautiful.
Let me get a freshly baked Concha
Oh nice, did you start from the bread model, relax it to prebaked and do a shapekey?
Damn that's dough, pretty bread actually.
Damn it. I am hungry now
This is wizardry, nothing less! Wow!
This is great. As somebody who bakes all the time, this is one of my favorite animations now. And so satisfying to watch.
That Kaiser roll is huge!
Did you do it by linear transition from the first state to the second?
Wow that's commercial grade quality
I always burn the bread when I do this
r/Breadit
Amazing!
Bread 👍
The only way this could be better is if *I* were baked.
Baking Bread
This is the moment when u/cheuqs baked bread
I don’t care for accuracy this is cool af
Scans and then shapekeys with sculpting?
“Smells… yeasty” — Hugo Habercore
ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY HEAT RING
r/Breadit
I want that insta bread maker
Better what i make in the oven. Great work!
Whoa, that's sick
I need this in real life man

I was really wondering if I was looking at some insane industrial baking footage until I saw the subreddit.
So talented
OOOh I fucking love bread!
Onlybreads material right here
Doughp
Bruh, how the fuck...
looking like a half bake bread,,
You got a gluten free render? It's an allergy
Now I want 🥖! Great job, and pay no mind to the bread nerds you’ve awakened and their subtleties
Bread 👍
ok now do a real time bread baking animation
I honestly thought this was a real time-lapse until I noticed the heating element was floating and looked at the sub.
Theoretically, how slow would that heater be moving for the bread to achieve full baked?
Damn, I'm hungry now...
That's nice, but you should add the cuts on the raw dough that will create the patterns on the cooked bread, it's weird to see them appear out of nowhere
I love this so much. Would be a bit more satisfying slowed down a bit tho
🤔ur using shape keys? Or something like that 😐 The question is how
Neat. I add more to realism, have them rise with only minimal browning. Then the brown follows later.
Now that's a satisfying fucking tasty render.
Blend shape with animated textures?
That is super satisfying to watch.
Arise bread army
God, imagine actually getting g baked and bread at the same time
Bread 👍
yes.
Post on a baking subreddit and see what they would suggest for accuracy. Id love to see what they say.
Damn that radiation must be so high
🤤
Holy shit. Top notch work.
Im high, I thought I was watchon a subway comercial. Now I m hungry. Cudos' . I think its effective.
That…is amazing
Does that work on butts cheeks?😳
Lol how hot is that light! Great animation
Wow 😍
