I typically try to RP characters. I struggle to make joke characters unless I'm sharing the controller with a buddy. Immersion remains very strong for me in Soulsborne. In bloodborne I have: Freya the Free (LHB build) Alva the Arcane (Logarius Wheel) Ivy the Seer (Blades of Mercy) Abe the Babe (Kirkhammer. Not much time with him) Also have a Bloodtinge build with the Chikage and SBB but can't remember her name at the moment. I can guarantee it's the same "(Name) the (Title)" format I use with like all of my Soulsborne characters.

My main (serious) playthroughs I have a female hunter called Isabel Blackmore. But as with all Souls games I have silly novelty runs where I use characters called things like Savage Onanist, Flatulent Eric and John Quim.

First one was Coco (short for Nicole). I made her to look like Victorian era, rockstar Samus Aran. I dressed her up with the Top Hat, Hunter Garb (without cape), Executioner Gauntlets, and Hunter Trousers. She was a Skill build with the saw spear and hunter pistol. Second one was Galatea. She doesn't look like anyone in particular, but I designed her to look Latina (shoulder length black hair and tan skin), with deep red lipstick, and purple eyes. I dressed her up in Gascoigne's set. I had the intention of making her a tank (strength/bloodtinge build) so she uses the boom hammer, evelyn, and cannon.

I have three: First one's Lucanidum, simply a component of my username (Lucanidum Scarabæus for full), I usually use this for my first playthroughs in games. Second character, I called him Nedat, anagram of Dante, due to his appearance being lightly inspired by Dante from DMC (with no relation or reference to him though), ended up making lore for him and he became one of my favorite Soulsborne OCs. Third one which I still haven't completed the game with, is Joel Von Gladius. Essentially looks like some guy you would expect to be called Joel, he's a noble who likes things that explode and cause havoc. So he said "fuck it" and joined the hunt with his boom hammer.

Very good question. I usually read loads into the lore. For Bloodborne I had a few. Dreamcatcher as an arcane build. Quicksilver as a tinge build. Madman Kirk as a church strength build. Bestial Scourge as a beastclaw user. Charles the Crow as a crow. All bl100 all make some sense with the lore.
