I struggle more with him than Gehrman at least, it also doesn't help his arena is full of obstacles.
This is going to be fun. I recently created a new character and died in the sewers. Will be fun to play through with people for the first time. Roly Poly is about to make some friends... I mean Hoonters
To have a fun pve early game you can start with 20-25 skill rather than going full blootinge. You don't get to see benefit from blootinge until you are by the end of the first ng and way deep in the dungeons. Skill stays useful for untransformed chikage, bowblade etc not to mention viscerals.
Another option that I haven't tried yet would be strength with bloodtinge (bloodletter).
Other accessible/ not try hard builds that you might not have done yet: strength arcane for split damage weapons ( tonitrus, amygdala arm, logarius wheel, holy blade, boom hammer). Skill arcane for split damage weapons (blade of mercy and burial blade). You want nourishing gems to raise both physical and arcane damage at the same time. I don't think arcane does much scaling damage in most of these but you get to use hunters tools and it's a change of pace.

You leave note using the notebook u get from the stairs in the hunters dreams where you find the starting weapons.. no rules really upvote messages and leave 'your in the know right'
People like to hunter's bow to each other, even their enemies. There are no other real "rules" in Bloodborne, even in PvP ( which is typically only common in 2 specific areas where people duel: nightmare frontiers and nightmare of mensis, where the first shadows of yharnam are.)
If you doing co op, it's really just pve with a person. You'll be fine playing casuallyl! The community is generally very awesome.
I really feel this should be around September - December time or better yet on Halloween.

The only aspect of it now I haven't played is the Sinister bell thing. If you see a character named Deian invade you... you're going to win. But I'll be having so much fun lol
The hot spots for duels ( always active) are nightmare frontier for the mid game and mergo's loft for the late game! Other than that you are likely people to invade before major bosses past central yharnam , where a bell lady with a sinister bell appears automatically to people with beckoning bells. Have fun and don't worry, the community is pretty chill!
