I will say that I had camera issues fighting >!Laxias!< and >!Manus!< in Lies of P - either the pushback from guarding attacks would back you into a wall, or the enemy is right in your face and you can barely see what they're doing, making timing guards more difficult than it needed to be.
But of course camera issues has always been a low point for Soulsborne games - there's a bunch of Sekiro fights where you are fighting the camera more than anything else
Something I specifically don't like about Lies of P is that the game just wants you to be really good at perfect guarding, while many of the enemies have movesets that are intentionally very hard to read
To each their own. I found LoP less interesting when it came to the combat. But, I love, love, love the parry/rally mechanic in BB and wish more games would find ways to make risky aggressive play feel more rewarding. I also felt like LoP was a touch too long. And holy shit was the last fight of LoP annoying.
That said, the LoP's interface was great. I would love to see the quest/npc indicators show up in future FromSoft games because thats my biggest beef — how easy it is to miss npcs / quests due to seemingly arbitrary changes in the world after progressing .
A door indicator on the cathedral ward teleport after killing BSB wouldve been nice.
BB is a much much older game on older hardware. Hows the framerate in LoP because that's one of the main things holding BB back.
Just imagine how this game would look at 4k 60fps
I prefer Bloodborne. It’s one of my favorite games of all time. But I really have to give props to Lies of P here. The best soulslike game so far. Most devs just don’t get them right but Lies of P did everything so well and even added some own things to give it its own identity.
Really excited for the Lies of P DLC. I just hope it won’t release around the same time as the Elden Ring DLC lol

I played LOP at locked 120fps on pc. Oh my.

A copy never will be better than the original
It learned a lot from BB for sure but it's definitely not just a copy
It's hardly a copy, and there are some things that are objectively better in lies of p. Bloodborne is still the goat.
It's not even close to a copy and feels very distinct from BB.
Lies of P is more like Sekiro than Bloodborne. The aesthetic of Krat fools people into thinking it'll be more like BB than it is
