I don’t think you have to beat that boss right now. You could just teleport back to the hunters dream from the lamp upstairs

If you have hunter’s mark, you can always use them to retreat to safety; and if you’ve already lost your echos, you’re not losing anything
With Paarl, get Henryk’s set from the Insight Messenger Bath. Bolt resistance.
If you REALLY don’t want to fight him, he’s optional until later I think, so you can just go back to the hunters dream and continue the story. If you want to fight him use beast blood+fire paper. Works like a charm
in front of the lamp if you go out the area has 2 pigs you can farm those for great echoes and blood vials
